thanks

when will next years trip be?

No clue. The APs we buy this year will expire 8/1/10. DH will get 3 weeks of vacation next year, too, so that kind of complicates things. Ideally I would do March, August, and December, but that would mean buying APs 2 years in a row.

Jen-loved your photos-looks like you guys had a great time-looks like Frankie know how to have fun!

Jennifer(OH)-hope the girls are all better soon!:wizard::hug:

Jennifer(TX)-we've been to Boma breakfast and really like it-we haven't gone too much because it is a bit difficult to get to if you're not staying at AKL and have no car. I'm not going with Joe only because we're staying CL so we can do breakfast at the lounge and I MUST do CP for breakfast and we are doing the sunrise safari with breakfast.

Vicki-hope you're posting how wonderful your interview went as I'm typing this!

Deb-hope you're feeling better! So sad about your co-worker. Here they won't let Kindergartners off the bus without an adult present-older kids aren't good enough.

Becky-hope your Dad is doing better!:wizard: Loved your photos.

Heidi-OUCH! Hope your finger isn't too painful.

Kristine-What a cool package!

Terry/Stephanie-:woohoo:congrats on booking your cruise!

Kelli-that baloon ride looks cool!

I was feeling dizzy again this morning so I figured I'd be better off taking another day off to try to get over this thing. I tend to feel really good for a couple of hours in the middle of the day so I went to the DMV to renew my license. It will expire when I'm in FL so now I don't worry about doing this before my trip. I also heard that they are increasing fees next week. I haven't been to a DMV in 10 years (you can renew your license one time online using the same photo) so I don't know what the lines are generally like but I did wait an hour. I also wasn't thinking that they have to mail you the new one so I'm glad to have this done early.

Bernadette - I can see how the DMV would make you feel sick, so might as well go on a day when you are already feeling ill. ;) I hope you feel better soon! :wizard:

Exactly!!! Plus I was already off work and didn't have to worry about that. They had a too small waiting room but I did get a seat. They had an automated board that told you what number should go to which cube down the hall. I greeted the guy with a friendly hello but he didn't even really make eye contact with me. BUT...his attitude completely lightened up when I paid with my Tink Disney Visa.

I usually put stuff like this off so I'm really glad I got it out of the way. I don't have to go for another 10 years now!

The last time I went it was on my birthday - the day my license was expiring. DH said if I let it go past the date they would make me take the test again. So I went to try to renew it while DS and one charge were at camp - I had the other charge with me. Turns out one of the DMV offices was completely shut down that day, and ALL of those people were rerouted to the office I was in. :scared1: DH ended up going to get DS and my charge from camp, then he came to pick up my other charge from me, he took all 3 boys to get something to eat, and I was STILL sitting there. It was HORRIBLE.

Last year I was able to renew online - I think it's valid for 4 years.

Vicki how did the interview go?

The interview went very well. I think I had good answers to all their questions. The interview panel is the Director of our division, the former Director of our division (who left 6 months ago which created the acting position I'm working in now) and a woman I didn't know. The two guys are the ones that have been grooming me for this position. The final interviews are on Friday. I won't know until after then at least. The official paperwork has to go through a bunch of other areas so I might not have any info until mid-week next week.

That does sound horrible!!!

I just had a scary thought...I could be at the DMV with all 3 of my kids before the next 10 years is up.:scared1: I was pregnant with Lizzy the last time I went and those 10 years flew. I'm sure the next 10 will be even faster.

Stephanie and I have booked the Sept 18, 2010 to October 2, 2010 Westbound repositioning trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See ya tonight!!!!!!

Woo Hoo!:dance3::dance3::cheer2::cheer2: More DDAers to cruise with.:thumbsup2

This cruise is basically turning into a reunion for me with all the people I know who are going and also those I previously cruised with. Hopefully we will all be able to find decently priced airfare.

Lucky duck! We have to go and have our picture taken every 4 years. Even though we can renew online or paper, after you renew they send you a photo card to have a new picture taken at the DMV every 4 years. So I have to almost make 3 trips there, in the time you have to make 1.

I guess that I should do some laundry and a few other things before I become Mom's taxi.

Colby just got home from school and the oddest thing happened. I got a call from the school that they needed me to wave to the bus driver or she wouldn't let him off the bus :confused3 He rides the bus everyday, but usually the other boys or his cousins are with him. Today it was just him so they wouldn't let him off :confused3 Very weird.
In our area they won't let the little kids off of the bus unless there is someone there to get them. I wouldn't think of letting my kids walk to the bus stop alone, and Nicholas is 9. Maybe it's just what I've seen, so I'm over-cautious, but oh well, they have to deal with it.

I'm glad you feel confident about everything!
