Olivia has had a runny nose and cough since Tues but no fever. Virginia and I started having a runny nose yesterday. I have a sore throat as well. I have sinus pressure

:wizard: That you all get well
:wizard: For the entire DDA and their families. This has certainly been a tough winter.:wizard: :wizard:

Thanks. He is acting like a chick.

Care to elaborate?

I spent much of the afternoon searching the web for reasonable priced lacrosse cleats in a wide size for Nick :scared: I finally ordered a pair from the first site that I looked at, but I had to search 20 other sites first. Now I need to make dinner and do some cleaning. I've been a bum since I know that I will be home tomorrow anyway. Why not put it off?

Lucy has another ear infection. About 2:30 yesterday, I picked her up and she was burning up. Her temp was 102. We called the clinic and made an appointment for her. Thankfully my mom said she would take her to the doctors, so Eric and I could still go out, and then bring her back here. I figured she didn't need to go with the other 2 when she wasn't feeling good.

I am calling our ped tomorrow to get her to fax over her chart to our ENT. I am over this. She has not had a break from them since November. :headache:

Last night was a blast. Lots of good fun, some drinks and time well spent with good friends.

My 2 girlfriends and I planned a slumber party for the Friday night Eric camps in April. Should be a lot of fun.

Not much going on here today. Laundry and the grocery store. The girls are all tired and grumpy. We're headed for an early bedtime tonight which will make me very happy, them not so much!!

Oh poor Lucy! :( I hope the ENT can come up with a plan and get that poor baby some relief! :wizard:

Has anyone here flown on southwest? I seem to remember that is the airline that you need to check in24 hours in advance and you board in groups, is that right?

I just realized that is who i am flying with on thursday.
My main question is when you check in, do you have to print something or can it just be done online? On the way home, ill be in the parks 24 hours before my flight--i was wondering if someone at home can check me in and then it would just be in the system when i got to the airport?

You do check in up to 24 hours in advance. The earlier you check in the earlier you board. You can go to guest relations at any of the parks and they will either check you in and print your boarding pass or provide you with a computer to do it yourself. We've done it twice at Epcot and it was very easy :thumbsup2

trying to catch up :

Deb-I am so sorry the boys are still sick. I am thinking that I've got the strain of the flu that is going through your house....tell poor Colby I can commiserate.:headache:

Robyn-I am so sorry that Lucy still doesn't feel well. I hope the ENT can figure some action plan that gives her relief.

Dang, I know I read other things but I am still feeling off.

:wizard: and  all around.

Glynis - I hope you had a lovely day with your family in your gorgeous weather!

Jen - I am sorry you can't join us in October, but I completely understand.

Deb - I hope the flu leaves your house soon!!

Jennifer - I hope the girls continue to recover.

Elizabeth and Tammi - sorry there is fightin' going on with yer menfolk.

I made a yummy chicken teriyaki for dinner. It got 2 thumbs up from each kid, so that's a good thing!

This about covers it! Thanks, Elin! ;)

I am still mad at DH, but we are attempting to be civil now.

Hhmm... where to start.

How many of you all would say your relationship with your dh is 'passionate'?

He expects everything to be the same today as it was the first month that we were dating. I don't say "I love you" enough, I don't reach out and touch him enough, I don't call just to say hi enough, blah blah blah. For instance, he would get a bug up his **** if all of us were sitting around watching tv and I sat on another couch, instead of next to him. I quickly had to straighten that unrealistic expectation out. If it were up to him, if we were walking down the street, in the mall, riding in the car, he would be holding my hand. Enough already, back off and give me some breathing room! The more he pushes, the more I resist, and I jumped all over him on the phone on Tuesday, and that was that.

I know he is wonderful and he would do anything for me. My kids love him, and vice versa. I don't think I could ask for a better person for them. I don't want to mess this up so please, if I am being unreasonable, someone slap some sense into me.

Poor baby Lucy!!!

Bernadette- :wizard: for your kids. I am done with Winter.
I've been done for over a month! Curse that nasty little rodent!

of course I am a bit scared to comit to renting points for next year, because what if Disney comes out with something like the 4/3 they have now or I get another 40% off pin.
Wouldn't points still be cheaper than 40% or 43%[4/3 deal]?

Thanks, this explains why I never noticed before :thumbsup2
SO what explains that neither your nor I saw them last year? Or me in 2007 & 2006? I even read about them last year before I went.:rotfl:

I have always taken zoomed in photos from the top of splash this time I decided I would do the opposite. It was my Sony. I think it had more like 40,000+ photos on it. It was well used and abused. I have been coveting the D90, but at the same time do not want to spend that much money. I could get one of the others not sure what I will decide to do. My Dad has some old Nikon lenses that he is not using that could possibly be used with a Nikon. I know if I get the D40, 60, etc those lenses would all need to be manually focused.
I think the D80 would focus the old lenses. B&H Photo (where I bought my D90) has a D40 with lens for $409. Nikon also has a point & shoot like our Sony's with an 18X zoom for around $300.

I could have written those exact same words! I did buy a Keurig coffee maker at BJ's yesterday. I hoping this will help me get back on the right path. If I can myself a good cup of coffee at home I"ll use fat free 1/2 & 1/2 and less sugar and no bagel or donut to got with it. I also got lots of great fruit & veggies. I will eat well if its in the house.

I hope that works for you. I really can't put my finger on my problem just yet.

Add me to hopeful list! DH said I (not we) should take an adult only trip in the fall. Who I am I to argue? I would just need to work around the budget schedule. I'm thinking a long weekend might work.

I think it would be a wonderful time for an adult only trip! Hope you can work it out!!

I concur with your Disney Math! I think not having an "adult" child makes it work better for you than the Elizabeth family. Having a good child eater makes it work for me!

I agree, Bernadette. The cost really seems to be perfect for us to do the DDP this trip.

The trolls are there for the flower fest. I read about them last year but didn't actually see them in the parks. Joe will love finding them! They also have a topiary character scavenger check list this year that Joe will love.

Thanks for that info. No wonder we have never seen them before! :thumbsup2

I never knew that, Deb! Thanks for the tip. :)

share, please
1/4 cup Italian salad dressing
1 lb. boneless chicken cut into strips
1 1/3 c. water
1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 cups frozen broccoli florets
1 1/2 c minute rice, uncooked

Heat dressing, add chicken and cook through.

Add water, teriyaki and garlic; bring to a boil

Stir in broccoli and rice; cover. Cook on low heat 5 minutes. Let stand 5 min. before serving.

Easy Peasy

Tammi - I would feel like I was suffocating if DH never let me have any space. I guess maybe Bob feels a little insecure or maybe he just requires more contact than you do, but I don't think you are being unreasonable.
I have never been a big hand holder, we never sit on the couch together (the couch is mine, the chair is his), and I HATE it when he calls me for no reason and then tries to keep me on the phone. I like to hear from him when he leaves work, but if he calls me after he gets home but before he has picked up DS I get crotchety. I don't need my phone ringing all day, especially when Princess is napping. The phone doesn't bother her, but if she isn't in a deep sleep she will fuss if she hears me talking.

I am sitting here trying to come up with a plan for August. I have to many restaurants that I want to try and not enough days. DON'T TELL ME TO STAY MORE DAYS! Plus I'm trying to put my park days into place.

Elizabeth - CMC is the 14th, correct?

Chris says that he sounds like a chick and wanted to know if he was PMSing. He hadn't read anything on here so the fact that you said he was acting like a chick and someone else mentioned PMS so it was quite funny to hear his comments. :rotfl:

Chris and I still call each other a few times a day just to check in and say "I love you". We managed to cuddle on the couch for one hour every week during the amazing race as that is date night. Other than that we seldom sit together. Holding hands is pretty rare as usually one or more kids will squeeze between us, same thing on the couch. Heck we even use separate blanketson our bed :rotfl: We do frequently give hugs and kisses though. The fact that you both have children kind of makes the closeness thing difficult at best and come on, we all need our breathing room. I think I would feel smothered by what you were describing.
