Elizabeth-it is a Tuesday. I am sorry DS is goofing around.

Congrats Robyn on a trip!! For at least 5 more years there is no way we can go in August as that is when band camp is. :upsidedow

The band room was so pitiful we couldn't do anything in it but put the uniforms in a semblence of order and take out the senior uniforms.

It's Tuesday, isn't it? :headache:

DH just got home. He checked my cell phone for messages. There was a message from the school. DS was fooling around in Science. Somebody's paper fell on the floor, DS stepped on it so the other kid couldn't pick it up. The other kid shoved DS, DS banged his leg, there is mark on his leg, so the school wants to know if we want to file assault charges against the other kid. The Asst. Principal said there will be a bruise, but it didn't appear to be too serious. I am furious at DS for fooling around! If somebody's paper falls on the floor you don't STEP on it! DS isn't making a very good grade in Science right now, so the fact that he felt like it was a good idea to screw around instead of working is making me very, very angry. :furious:

I am pretty sure DS had Band after school, and I am working late, so it will easily be 7:30 PM before I get to look at his leg.

There is apparently no end to the drama. :sad2:

 Boys do stupid things

 Should the school really be encoraging you to press charges when your DS was a party to this?:confused3

Doesn't sound fun.

Awesome, I just love Hippos. :lovestruc
Thanks. I'll have to look for more at home.

We're home from the Vet. We have a very sick kitty. It turns out that he has hyperthyroidism and his kidneys are only functioning at 50%. He may also have feline leukemia, but we opted not to run the test as they can't treat it anyway. As it turns out the bill was $259 for today and he is 73 years old in cat years. We have a med for the hyperthyroid, actually we have 2 at this point. One is chewable, but much more expensive. The other is a pill, but we will have to force feed him. We are going to try the pill first as $8/mth sounds much better than $30. He also needs to go on prescription cat food for the kidney issues. The cat food is either $1.50 per can or 3.38 per can depending on what he will eat. There is also a couple of kinds of dry food which is $28/bag. They want him to eat as much as possible as he lost a lot of weight. It sounds like it will cost us about $5/day to feed him now. For now we are trying the different foods to see what he will eat. I will need to pick up more on Friday once I know what works. He will also need bloodwork again in 3 weeks. She said he is actually really healthy considering how sick he is :confused3 If he responds as well as she thinks he will he has a great prognosis.

Remember my stinky spill I had a while back? unfortunately it still lingers! in my purse pack tissues. While they were closed and didn't get wet they still absorbed the smell  luckily this is the last pack for that batch.

Janet I am really excited now, it will be just the 2 of us, something that hasn't hapened since our very 1st trip. :hyper:

How wonderful Heidi! I know you both will have the best of times :goodvibes

I miss Glynis, anyone remember how long Alan lent out her computer for?

I just checked a few online sites for cheaper prescription pet food and it turns out that our vet is actually cheaper than the online stores even before shipping. I guess it's a good thing that I'm starting a new job.

Well house #1 is not an option anymore which is fine. The sellers will not come down from their price & the home is very overpriced for the area so that's that. I have a feeling that after we move down there that the house will still be for sale.

On to house #2 (which I like the outside much better than #1) more of a wow factor for me. Inside needs some work though.

We are off to grocery shop & then take the kids for lunch. I suggested Coraline but they seem to think its scary so maybe not.

Have a great day!

Anne Marie good luck with house #2 :wizard:

Good Morning DDA!!!

It's been an interesting few days around here sleep wise and I can't find any jobs to apply for so that affects my mood.....I am a mess. I actually had a little breakdown on Friday night with Cassidy...I couldn't stop laughing but I knew, knew I wasn't really a) that funny and b) laughing.

I am hoping that this little bit of time this afternoon with people who have no real clue about my life and just being out of the house will help my attitude.

Hope today has been good for you Theresa

Robyn congrats on your trip. I'm excited for you.

I keep wanting to plan a big trip for this year, but I know that we cannot afford it and I want to have a great trip next year. Everytime I get an email with cruise deals, flight deals etc I want to book. I guess I should stop opening them :lmao: All will be better in the world next year...all will be better in the world next year maybe if I say it enough it will come true.

Deb I am sorry that kitty is so sick.

Deb, I am sorry about the cat! Hopefully he will take his meds and eat his new food so he will feel better soon! :wizard:

Bernadette - I think the school is afraid that I am the type of parent who would press charges without their encouragement, so they are trying to stay on top of things. ;) But in THIS case I don't think I will press charges because DS was being an idiot when it happened. If the other kid had attacked him out of the blue I would press charges. This sounds like horseplay that got out of hand (which is what ALWAYS happens) so I think we'll let it go. If his leg requires medical treatment I might change my mind.
