DS was up at 12:50 AM for Tylenol. At 1:30 AM he was shouting for tissues. Beyond that he just hacked a lot. I think we may have to call the pediatrician.

I got up at 2 AM to check the pin sale - no sale prices were up yet. I just now checked again and the cheapest "sale" pin is $6.99! What kind of crap is THAT? The pins sets are averaging over $4 per pin. There are no good sets like the ones I bought last year. Last year there were Christmas pins and 2 other sets with 5 or 6 pins each that were no more than $3 per pin. I bought at least 15 sets. This year's sale is a JOKE! At $7 per pin I will just buy those starter sets in the park! Or maybe this is the catalyst I need to stop doing pins.

We don't have really have any trader pins so I thought I would buy a few-even at $5/pin they would be easier to get rid of than the starter sets at WDW. Do you think we'd have any trouble using the Disney on Broadway set at the parks?






I was without internet all day yesterday which may have been a good thing. DH took kids to MIL's and I actually slept. I still feel lousy but not quite as bad as yesterday. I hate getting sick after I travel! I really wish Emma's birthday wasn't in January because I'm not looking forward to taking her that time again next year-AND her birthday is always right around Martin Luther King holiday so we have to deal with crowds and discount blackouts....I guess I'll just have to book with AAA as soon as those rates are out for 2010.

I am trying to convince myself that I am over the pin trading thing. It would save SO much time if I could move through the parks without stopping to look at a lanyard every 10 feet. Maybe we will just trade a couple of days and leave the lanyards in the room the other days.

YAY!!!!

I was able to get a concierge studio for 2 more nights!! Now we will be checking into our concierge studio on my birthday! Yippee!

And modifying our remaining 4 nights down to standard view would have screwed up our points so I just left them alone.

Now we have a savannah studio Aug. 1-5, and a concierge Aug. 5-15. Great! Now IPO will have to do 10 nights of ADRs for me! I will only have to do 2 nights of ADRs, because the other 2 nights we will eat at US/IOA. I have no clue what we will eat over there. Maybe just CS.

I can't really go into it right now, but the economy has hit my household too. I'm so upset right now it's all I can do to keep from breaking down.

I have to tell myself that "This too shall pass", the question is when?

Hi all! We played "House Hunters" this weekend in NC. Found 3 that we could see ourselves in. Made an offer on house #1, hoping to hear about that mid week. If that doesn't work out we will make an offer on our 2nd choice. It was 70 degrees out & we dined al fresco yesterday which was wonderful.

We have been gone since Friday so I have some catching up to do...Hope all is well with everyone.

Glynis,,,I am so sorry you are having trouble with your arm. Please check into getting a cortisone shot. I swear it helped me immediately.

I have a temp and am feeling really bad. My back is really hurting and I have already gotten sick. This sucks. Hal is sick too but not as bad as me.
I need to get better so we can go down to WV this coming weekend.

Thanks, Terry. My elbow seems to be a bit better. I kept it pretty immobile this weekend (pretty hard to do, but my family pitched in). The doctor said that a cortisone shot is an option, but he wants me to wait at least 6 weeks to see if it heals on its own.

I am so not ready to go back to work tomorrow. Why do weekends always go so fast? I have a busy week again.

I went to see my Grandpa and Grandma today. My Grandpa is not doing well. The nurse told all of us that we should come see him as they do not know how much time he has left. This has my Grandma all stressed out which is not good for her heart. Plus my two Aunt's are not getting along and they were both there. It is like a circus.

It was about 50 degrees today.

I hope you are all doing well!

I need to head to bed, but want to watch Brothers and Sisters. So who knows what I will do.

thank you for the warm welcome. I met MrsHeg at a DisMeet a week ago and she invited me to this thread. I don't get on but a couple times a week right now, but love the Disboards. I'm married with 3 kids and don't get to Disney quite as often as I would like. I am planning to rearrange my priorities though.

We don't get to go to Disney very often but are planning Cassidy's graduation trip in 2010.

Mythos just seems heavy for "lunch" food. I do want to go there, though. The July calendar has both parks open every Mon & Tues until 10 PM, so maybe Mythos will be open late enough to do an early dinner. We shall see!

I was JUST looking at the Margaritaville menu! We will have dinner at US Monday & Tuesday, I just need to decide which restaurant on which day. I would imagine we'll have a break during the day Monday, so maybe eat at Margaritaville on our way back out Monday PM. Then go to IOA Tuesday and hit Mythos at whatever time we can. There won't be a break on Tuesday so a late lunch or early dinner might be good.

Any hints on dining reservations? When should I call?

What a quandary. The Night of Joy will be September 11 & 12 this year. We could come for that and then we would leave on the 17th. That however, would really make me sad, as the 18th is my birthday. And if we are going to stay until the 17th, we might as well stay one more day. However C would run out of points. So I could use mine, no problem.

Exxcept we are staying in a 2BR at SSR for a week, and I would have enough points for a studio at OKW. So... do we do OKW at the beginning of our trip or the end? I'm thinking the begining, as we will be at where ever the NOJ is held until 1:00am both nights. Studio will be fine.

Next, we will need a car. We will be doing a lot of resort-resort travel this trip. We want to finally see the Boardwalk. Finally see Jellyrolls. Check out Beaches and Cream.

And lastly, airfare. I love SW. However AirTran opened a flight out of Harrisburg, which would save on time and has cheap parking. But the return from MCO is at 8:00 AM!!! Boooooooooooo. That ruins the last day. Plus Airtran charges for checked bags, any changes, window seats.

We need to come home on Saturday, as C needs at least one entire day of recovery before she returns to work. And actually, I really liked it when I had a day to decompress. The worst time ever was when I had to come to work the day after I got back from vacation. That super stunk.

So there is my dilemma. Our quick 7 day trip is going to turn into a 9 day trip. It is going to be stinking hot. I'm going to have to rent a car. It is going to be smack dab in the middle of free dining, so we will have to figure out where we want to eat by end of June. Did I mention it was going to be stinking hot??? And hurricane season!!!

I would put the studio at the beginning of the trip.
