So we got an offer on the house. A very low offer. Dana's company will not accept it nor will we. Open house Saturday & 3 showings before that so there is lots of activity (we had lowered the price a few weeks ago).

Whatever happens I want to stay til the end of June so the kids can finish the school year.

Work was actually busy today. It has been like a ghost town in our mall lately. Our McDonalds closed & the Gap left too. The mall now has lots of tween tee shirt places & junk shops.

I'm sorry the offer wasn't what you wanted. At least now you don't have to worry about moving anytime soon.

Theresa - Sorry about the job,

Yesterday was NOT a good day. After the dental appointment, which was no fun. The tooth broke as she was pulling it, she had to drill into the roots and screw something into it to pull it out. No wonder I am petrified of the dentist, I stopped and got my pain meds on the way home so that I could start them before the numbness wore off, the meds made me ill so I spent the evening throwing up and hurting.

Thankfully today was much better, I went to work and took OTC meds and they worked well enough for me to stay all day. Now I have to force myself to make another appointment to get the other tooth fixed that I have also lost a filling from before it gets to the root canal or extraction phase.

That sounds awful. I hope everything heals quickly and that you can save the other tooth.

Prayers needed: Chuck's mom is in the hospital again. She had another reaction to her pain meds. They just can't get them right. They keep zonking her out where she has trouble waking up.

Tammi, I hope you have a good time this June at the shore. I am getting so excited for our trip, since all my kids will be there. We got the same place we had last year!!! Steve and his girlfriend are driving up from Fla. We have already started planning our menus for the week. Plus we want to do a family portrait again this year. That means planning what we all are going to wear. Must be matching!!!

I think I have everyone thinking about going Parasailing. Hal and the guys want to take the little boys out again on a boat and go crabbing. They really had fun last year.

I'm sure we will. I've stayed at this condo 2 times in the past. The view isn't the best. In fact there is no view, as it's a bottom unit with a huge dune blocking the windows, but it is soooo convenient to the pool and beach. Plus he gives me access to his owners closet, so we don't have to take boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, or fishing poles. I also get a bit of a break on the rental price. As a matter of fact, I was looking at websites today for beach portraits down there as well!

February 13, 2009 -- 5:00 to 7:00. Dinner begins at 6:30.
The kids will be the chefs AND the servers for this Friday-night date! Price includes a class for the kids then dinner for child and two adults. Menu: Basil Shrimp Fettucine, Bruschetta Bread, Mini Cream Puffs with Strawberry Mousse. Chefs must be 8 or older . $50 ($45 for members). Siblings $25. Additional children for dinner $10
Space is limited for this event you must reserve with the number of chefs, how many guests and pay a non refundable deposit of $20.

They are so excited about it. I'm not supposed to tell Bob about it. They prepare the food, set the table, serve the parents, and then sit down to eat with us. Alyssa wants to have her birthday party there. They have a cheese and chocolate fondue party that she wants to have.

I need prayers for Becky. She is not making good decisions in her life. She is engaged and plans to get married on December 5. This is to a guy who doesn't seem to know how to tell the truth. I don't want to go into details but just pray that she comes to her senses and sees him for what he is.

ouch. I hope that you heal quickly and that the other tooth can be easily repaired.

He found out the day she went in the hospital at least. His sister called this morning (they are taking turns) and Mom didn't answer the phone. Sis called SIL and asked her to go check on her.

I found a second set of recovery disks for my laptop. These work. Of course it takes about 12 hours to fully recover the hard drive. We still have 8 plus hours to go.

Nick has a history project due on Tuesday. They are given a $3000 budget and have to get from here to Mecca, do all the Islamic religious pilgrimage things and get home. The budget has to cover all transportation, clothing, food, hotel etc. Nick thinks he has it all figured out, but as I've read reports about actual pilgrimages I think he is way off. Supposedly there are 3 airports in Jeddah, but only one is available that we see and it is not the "official pilgrimage" one. He wants to stay in Jeddah as it is cheaper, but it is 80 KM from Mecca and while that doesn't seem too far I guess there are a lot of walking activities that are within a 20 KM radius of Mecca that he will need to do over many days I just don't know how accurate the teacher wants him to be or even if the teacher has a clue about what really happens as he is NOT Islamic.

I'm glad you found out relatively quickly. Maybe you should get her one of those jitterbug cellphones with Chucks number programmed in. They are made for elderly people or even lifeline with Chuck as the contact.

Vicki, Follow your heart with Becky. It will be hard, but bite your lip before you say anything. Let others around her say their piece but you keep mum.

Hal and I were going crazy when Guenna was going with this one guy cause he was such a jerk. We really thought he was being abusive but could not pinpoint anything. It took her brothers to keep harping on him and she finally admitted he was being abusive. It took her friends to really get on her and she finally told him to hit the highway. It was all I could do to be civil when he was around. I really wanted to give him the same kind of abuse he was giving my daughter.

I even went to see his mother and she agreed with me but even she could not convince Guenna. Love is so very blind.

If all else fails, be there when he finally does the one thing that stops her world because she will need you then.
