DDA Chapter 17

So after debating dates I think we will book a week at the camping resort. We will go the first week of summer vacation which begins June 21 (father's day) It will cost us about $400 for 6 nights. They have lots of free activities too.

Ohhhh Noooo Tell Jake a completely commisserate with him. I break out in hives like that every time I get too cold. For me a hot bath and benedryl are the solution and the quicker the bath the quicker they go away. I had hives on my face and neck last night as that was the only skin that was exposed to the windy night. We officially had no temerature here when we arrived home (the outside temp was zero :rotfl: ) It's a blustery 1 now and Chris and Kevin are out cutting a load of logs. I think they're nuts.

Deb -- you must break out several times a week, in the climate you live in. :grouphug: When you ski, do you wear a face mask? We take them for when they are predicting snow, as it helps so much.

Thanks for posting your pictures of D on Ice.

okay prayers needed for a co-workers children and grand children as a co-worker passed away yesterday and one of her kids found her in her bed. It was an emotional ending to a stressful day yesterday at work.

How tragic! :grouphug:

We only have one for sure trip so far, and that is WDW in August. I could book air at around $220 pp, but I'm hoping the extend some cruise deals, like the kids sail free deal. If that happens I would cut our WDW trip short and add on a cruise. So until I find out if anything is happening, I'm not booking my air, as the dates could change around.

Bob wants to do short, adult only trip, but I have no idea where to go that I wouldn't be wishing the kids were with me. Maybe Vegas? :confused3

Vegas is usually our adult-only trip. I think we've gone the last 4 years. And, we will probably do that in the Fall for our 15th anniversary, depending on the economy and job situation. Good food, good entertainment, and you there is a lot of variety in prices for everything.

Terry what wonderful pictures :goodvibes

I agree! A beautiful family. :goodvibes

mine too, most years I have not had plans. But I am excited about my plans for this summer. The baseball game Houston Astros vs the Texas Rangers.

The Rangers really stunk up the place last year, so you have a decent chance of watching your Astros win!

How cool is this? A DCL ship made out of Lego. Somebody made it in their spare time.

I do have a neoprene face mask that I wear for skiing or even when watching the kids snowboard. I wear a lot of turtle neck sweaters as I can pull the neck up to my nose when I need to. I always have gloves and a hat in my bag. Legs are the hardest for me as It is too hot indoors for long underwear under my pants, but just pants aren't warm enough outside. When I get hives usually my face and neck or legs take the brunt of it.

Woohoo time to start planning, you can do it!

What dates are you looking at?

Unfortunately, we're looking at our spring break time (March 20-27) because it wouldn't be such a hardship on my parents then running the girls all over to school functions/sports practices, etc. Luckily Orlando's spring break starts the 30th

Our Spring Break is March 16 -20. That is so bizarre. I would have SWORN it was the week before. Good thing I didn't make plans, because they would have been for the wrong week! :rotfl: I think the week of Easter is worse than any of the March weeks.

Oh crud, didn't think about Easter. When is it? :rotfl:

Our spring break is always the week after Easter. This year Easter is April 12.
