DDA Chapter 17

Glynis, I can't really come up with anything right now. My thoughts were towards The Lion King, Brother Bear.... I don't know. I'll keep thinking!

Today

Tammi - Thank you to you and all of you colleagues! It had to have been an incredibly stressful day. Just thinking about the logistics of it gives me stress, and I wasn't anywhere around!
(I wasn't willing to stand in line for 40 minutes at Neiman Marcus. I would have been really unhappy standing OUTSIDE for HOURS. :scared: )

Glynis - Maybe some sort of circle of life reference? But I like Jennifer's quote, too. Not a fan of the movie Lilo & Stitch, but I do like the quote.

Deb - Nick looks rather disgruntled. :rotfl2:

Glynis I love what you are wanting to do with the shirts, I hope you are able to find the perfect saying :goodvibes

Ok, since this thread began as a shirt design thread, I'm going to ask you all a design question.

For our DL trip in June, Alan and I want to design a shirt to honor my mom. Disneyland was her favorite place in the world! We have several pictures of her at DL (some being hugged by characters, others on rides, etc.), and we want a saying to put on the shirt with whatever photo we choose. We want it to say something about being there in her honor or something like that.

Alan wanted a quote from a movie, but the only one he could come up with was from Bambi "your mother can't be with you anymore." I didn't think that would be too appropriate.

So, any ideas for a saying for these shirts?

You have a terrific idea! I like Jennifer's quote. That reminds me, here's Mom's balloons from our Dec./Jan. trip. I hope you find something that gives you Peace as much as we have.

Tammi - I am glad you are home. Thank you.

Deb, Nick looks so grown up!
I know. Where did my baby go. I look at him and he seems older than 13 or 7th grade. He looks like he could be in high school:rolleyes:

Marci my kids release all helium balloons that they get. They say they are sharing them with Grammie Tootie and our doggies :sad1: That is something that they have done without prompting for years now

Elin glad to see you made it home safely!

I know I've missed a bunch of people and for that I am sorry:flower3: ....I am in the middle of a funk that I can't seem to get myself out of. I haven't heard from the gentleman about the job so I am going to guess I don't have it and there is just some other things flying around here that I just can't escape from.

Theresa, Call him one more time just to be sure.

Sorry you are in a funk. :grouphug: :grouphug:
Just come here to check on the the status of Elizabeth and her planning. :lmao: :lmao: (love ya Elizabeth)

Tammi -- thanks for checking in. Our Sr. VP's daughter was in the metro system when the train system was stopped and couldn't get out for hours. I can't imagine the terror for everyone involved, and the uncertainity of what was going on.

Deb -- cute picture! Did Nick have fun? He sure looked snazzy!

Theresa - I meant to comment on that earlier. Call and say you would like to check on the status of the position, because you are still interested. If he has filled it he will say so. If he has been shopping for Port-O-Lets he will say so. Better than not knowing. I hope you are feeling perky again soon! :grouphug:

Terry - What am I planning? Nothing new on the house thing, and nothing new for my trip. Was there something else? I like to plan stuff. ;)

Elizabeth, I actually said that cause I could not think of anything at the moment that would get Theresa to laugh. :lmao: I figured something would come up for you to plan!!!! (really do love ya) :wave2: :upsidedow ::yes::

Well, for some reason I seem to be responding to posts from newest to oldest... no snide comments, please! :rotfl2:

Janet hope Riley feels better soon. :wizard:

I hope Riley is feeling better!

Janet-I hope the sickies leave soon!

Tom-great googly moogly!! I can't believe how close your trip!!:goodvibes Congrats on the weight loss.

Tia-what great pictures:flower3:

Jennifer-I am sorry you can't sleep when Kyle is on call...I had some problems like that when I was younger. I've gotten over it (unless the house is completely empty) but it took a long time and a lot of sleepless nights. :grouphug:

Theresa -- don't give up. He may just be running a little behind getting his ducks in a row...or maybe potties in a row...

I had to be sure I wasn't missing out on the opportunity to plan something. I am kind of disappointed! :p

I think he enjoyed himself. He wasn't thrilled with me taking a picture. I made him get redressed after he got his hair cut so that I could take the picture :goodvibes He said that every one of his teacher commented on how nice he looked as did some of the girls, including the one that he likes, but will not name :lmao:

If we didn't already have everything planned for my youngest son's birthday party this Saturday, I would have given that to you.

Yes, my youngest is coming home to celebrate turning 30. His birthday was actually yesterday but we are so excited he is coming home for a few days.
Oh GOD I am old now!!! :rotfl:

Let me think....... :crazy2: Our shore trip is pretty much planned. My daughter-in-law is the super planner here.

My kitchen is never going to get done, so no planning for that :lmao:

It will be a few years before a trip can be planned to DL. Depends on how my daughter and daughter-in-law are doing when the trip for when I turn 60 in 2010 will happen. I'll get back to ya on that!!!
