Deb - Do you get to enjoy the night off after your busy day?

The haircuts will actually be this evening around 6 PM. I suspect that my cousin will be here until about 8 PM since she is cutting hair for 6 people. I also need to make dinner in there somewhere and I'm sure I'll be asked to help with homework since it will be about the inauguration. So while I do not have to "work" per se I don't think it will be quiet by any means.

Tomorrow will be busy too, with Hunter's appointment mid morning I will have to pick he and Colby up at 10:15 and get Hunter back to school at some point. Then we have snowboarding in the evening. My boots have not come and I didn't expect they would with the extra holiday in there. Oh well I'll just watch tomorrow night.

I know, this is our priority -- we don't anticipate coming back for all 3 naps, but otherwise we'll keep it close!

Swimming lesson went pretty well. I was not sure what Princess would think of a male instructor, but she was fine. Her swimsuit is too small, which I didn't realize until she started jumping around and it morphed into a thong. I KNOW she has one in the next size up in her drawer, so we'll have to try that next time. If it also wedges up her tushy we will be buying a new one.

The lines for free cosmetics ranged from 5 minutes (Dillard's) to 10 or 15 (Macy's & Nordstrom) to nearly 40 minutes (Neiman's, which I bailed out of). It is one product per person, so standing in the line for a REALLY long time isn't worth it.

I found a zip-front jacket for DS at Macy's for $6. It is the same jacket he has now in the next size up. I figured for $6 I would buy it now! I think I paid $25 for the one I bought back in October. Uniform compliant jackets are so hard to find I couldn't pass it up. Of course it has a hood, but it is SOLID navy with no logo so that's probably as close as we are going to get.

I swear I've been reading along. I just can't seem to make sense of it all when I go to respond.

Lots and lots of , and for everyone.

Lucy has another double ear infection. Her last one being the day after Christmas. Of course, her pediatrician was closed today for the inauguration. So we went to urgent care. Thankfully, Lucy has her 18 month check up next week so I'll be pushing for tubes.

3 dentist visits down. No cavities, but they all got the better brushing lecture. We came home and I made dinner. We've already eaten and Chris has the dishes washing in the dishwasher. I think I'm all set for haircuts now. Got to love a busy schedule for making the day fly by.

Any word from Tammi. She thought she'd be home early. I hope her travels weren't too bad.

I'm watching some news coverage about the inauguration. Chris is reading the mini magazine about the new aquatics center.

Crap. Got the dreaded APR increase notice from Chase. Oh, well. I knew it was coming.

Momboss asked me to get a quote on an umbrella policy because their policy will no longer include anyone outside of their immediate family. (The underwriter changed the wording of the policy - it wasn't because of anything I did.) So she figured they would pay for me to have my own umbrella policy and that would fix the issue. But my STUPID, INCOMPETENT insurance people are apparently mystified by the instrument we know as the telephone. I really, really hate our insurance office. Hate it.

DS went to the dentist today (must have been the day for it!) and he is good for 6 more months. He goes to the orthodontist next week.

Stephanie – today was not a day of inconvenience for me. Today was a day of public safety, ensuring your friends, and millions of others like them from around this nation got to view, firsthand, the history of today safely. With that came issues that Joe Citizen would not even begin to comprehend. Things like how do we get 3 million people in and out of our nation’s Capital with limited resources, how do we move those 3 million people on our metro system, that can only accommodate 125,000 people per hour, what are we going to do with all of the cars that are trying to park at a metro lot that only has 5,000 parking spaces, how are we going to ensure that in the mobs of people someone isn’t going to get pushed onto the train track (which at least one person that I know of got hit by a train, causing that track to become shut down), how are we going to control the millions of people on the Mall area after the swearing in is over and they all want to leave at once, deal suspicious packages reported at metro stations as well as a car left parked at a station with the engine running and no one around (suspicious? you betcha!), plus all of the credible threat reports (just because they weren’t broadcast doesn’t mean there weren’t any), among a myriad of other issues. As you all watched the events of today unfold, I’m sure you saw the hundreds of police officers lining the streets of DC. There were hundreds more that you didn’t see, either on rooftops, in the crowds undercover, or in vehicles. Those officers came from all over the country and were deputized to assist for today. Yes, hundreds of officers. Millions of people. Not a good ratio. All of the officers had an incredible job to do, with little sleep, little opportunity for food and facilities, in freezing temps and wind chills, some unruly crowds, all with a smile on their face to ensure our visitors had a memorable time. So no, I wouldn’t call it an inconvenience. I would call it a huge challenge, to make sure everyone (to include all my brothers and sisters) made it home safely. I’m very proud to say, for the most part, we succeeded.

It’s been a very long, stressful, cold, and tiring day. I’m going to go relax and try to get some sleep. Here’s a huge and some for all.

We have things kind of figured out. Nothing is real set except for the ADR's and we will just cancel them if we decide to do something else.

Arrive Friday afternoon - stay at Boardwalk, head to Epcot after checkin, eat at Yakitori CS

Saturday - morning at MK, DTD in evening Wolfgang Express for dinner

Sunday - morning BB if nice otherwise HS, Epcot in the evening - only ADR we will make sure we keep - LeCellier (Chuck's favorite)

Monday - AK EMH, Tusker House for late breakfast (if I can get the ADR), and MK in the evening for Spectro & Wishes

Tuesday - Epcot EMH, DHS afterwards maybe, Wave at Contemporary for dinner

Wednesday - Kona for breakfast, move to Saratoga Springs, DVC Welcome Wednesday afternoon, AK EMH in the evening, Flame Tree for dinner

Thursday - morning MK, DHS for dinnner Brown Derby for Fantasmic package

Friday - HS then to WWOS for Half Marathon Expo, Epcot Coral Reef for dinner

Saturday - 5k through Epcot in morning with Chuck, POR Pasta meet with other WISHers attending Princess Half

Sunday - Princess Half in morning, DHS Happily Ever After party afterwards

Monday - leave early in morning for home

We want to resort hop to Contemporary and All Stars. Those are the only resorts we have not been through. We are also going to spend more time on the Boardwalk checking out things there. I'll need to get to DTD at least one other time. This will be a wonderful couples trip for us. I'm hoping we relax as much as when we had our long week-ends. I'll also have to get my workouts in every day. The only time it is more than 30 miles is the first Saturday when I need to walk/run 5 miles.

Ok, since this thread began as a shirt design thread, I'm going to ask you all a design question.

For our DL trip in June, Alan and I want to design a shirt to honor my mom. Disneyland was her favorite place in the world! We have several pictures of her at DL (some being hugged by characters, others on rides, etc.), and we want a saying to put on the shirt with whatever photo we choose. We want it to say something about being there in her honor or something like that.

Alan wanted a quote from a movie, but the only one he could come up with was from Bambi "your mother can't be with you anymore." I didn't think that would be too appropriate.

So, any ideas for a saying for these shirts?
