DDA Chapter 17

Sorry the house wasn't what you were looking for, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth-you are right....you have to love where you live. Plus, you need all the closet space you can get....you are a clothes-a-holic. :rolleyes1

Well, I'm glad you saw it and know it's not what you'd love! :flower3:

Well, good luck then, whenever you go! :) Please let us know how it goes!

Thanks, guys! I am not HUGELY disappointed. My main thing was that I wanted to see the house and get our hat in the ring IF it was perfect for us. It's not, so I am cool with staying where we are! Moving wasn't in my plan for this year, so NOT moving is OK with me. :)

Theresa - Good luck at your interview! :wizard:

I hope your dog is feeling better soon! :wizard:

I was going to say dress pants and a nice blouse, but never mind! The dress will be fine. Chilly, but fine!

Sooo...
DH and I just got back from looking at the house. The owner had e-mailed that they already have 2 people submitting credit applications, so I phoned her to see if we could see the house this morning. She wasn't busy so she met us at the house.
It is a nice little house, but it isn't laid out in a way that would work for us. The master bedroom is too small for our furniture, the closets are too small for our clothes, and the bathrooms have no counter space. The washer goes in the kitchen, right beside the stove. The dryer goes in the garage. That wouldn't be a deal breaker, but it's not quite what I want.
The master bedroom has 2 windows that eat up a lot of the wall space. We would end up having to put some of our bedroom furniture in the spare bedroom. Even with the closet in the 3rd bedroom we would lose closet space compared with what we have now. The closets in the house are shallow and have lots of shelf space. We need more hanging space than shelf space.
In order to be worth it I would have had to LOVE the house. As it is, I don't see us living there. I am fine with that. :)

At least you got to look at it and won't feel like you missed out.

Marci Happy Birthday to Randy party:

Theresa more :wizard: for today!

Elizabeth sorry the house was not what you wanted. Glad to hear your mom is doing ok.

That's exactly how I feel. :thumbsup2
I have been searching for other lease properties and I haven't come up with anything. Same problem we usually have - the houses that are what we want are too expensive. It's funny though, I have seen signs in front of houses and I know what realtor they are listed with. When I search I can't get those to come up. It's weird. :confused3

School was canceled today, not really sure how much snow we got. I still made it to work at 5 this morning with no problems. The sun is out now but the temps are dropping & the wind is picking up. If the wind chills get to whta is being forecasted the boys may end up having a 6 day weekend instead of 4.

Garrett is out with a friend now trying to make money shoveling snow. Hope they do well!

I need to make this a quick post as I need to get Colby out the door to pick up brothers for snowboarding.

Hunter's appointment did not go as well as I had hoped. He has a definite heart murmer which they have never heard before. They did an EKG and it looked okay from the peds prespective, but a cardiologist will look at it. They also ran the various blood pressure tests at my insistance ;) They had him lay down for 10 minutes, took a pressure, had him sit for 2, took a pressure, had him stand for 2, took another pressure. The blood pressures weren't alarming, on the low side, but he always has been. What was remarkable was his pulse. His pulse laying down was 81, sitting up was 102 and standing was 117. There should not be a difference like that as he wasn't moving and did nothing to elevate his pulse. Now they need to figure out why it is doing that. That resulted in a trip to blood draw. Hunter freaked out. He screamed and cried. It was horrible. Heck he cried most of the way back to school and says that he will run away before he lets them do that again. colby was with us and said that he has never heard Hunter scream like that :scared1: The doctor is supposed to call me this afternoon with the results of the blood work. They are doing a CBC, checking for iron levels, sugar levels and other things. He has a follow up appointment with his actual ped next Wednesday. He was told he could do snowboarding tonight, but if he feels at all lightheaded he needs to sit immediately. Either Chris or I need to shadow him to be on the safe side.

So in short I am much more worried now than I was before his appointment.

Oh no Deb,
:wizard:  for you and Hunter. I hope they can figure it out.

Deb, hope they can figure this out quickly.

Deb I hope the tests are able to help figure out what is going on

Well, if he can stand to be out in the snow he deserves to make some money! :thumbsup2

Deb, I hope the Dr. can come up with some answers for Hunter! That doesn't sound like a fun appointment.

The two worst medical procedures DS has had were having the tube pulled out of his tear duct (that was brutal, and it took about 5 people to hold him down) and having the electrodes glued to his head when they thought he was having seizures. He wasn't having seizures - he was having a severe stress reaction to switching to public school. :sad2:

Ouch! I remember after my hysterectomy the Dr. came in to take out my drain tube. He told me to take a deep breath & then he pulled. I thought I would faint :faint:

I told Garrett not to stay out to long, I don't want him freezing!

 I'm sure that was a hard day all around! I hope that the cardiologist concurs that there is nothing worrisome on Hunter's EKG! :wizard: I also hope the bloodwork might show a simpler explanation (or nothing at all, of course!)
