DDA Chapter 17

I called for info on that position. The woman in the office called it a receptionist position which is NOT what the ad said. The hours are 8 - 4:30 which are not hours that I will consider. I need to be home by 3 at the latest to make a full time job work. At least I know now.

I need to learn to get to bed before midnight.

My Mom is having her cardiac catherization on Monday morning. Hopefully it will go well so she can come home today.

Hope you are all doing well!

Good morning!

We booked Sophie's communion party this weekend. We found this cool old German buffet & brew house..looks like Beirgarten inside but no entertainment. They brew all their beer onsite. We chose the buffet brunch (unlimited momosas & bloody mary's) & lots of german specialties & breakfast items. Sophies fav food is German so this was perfect for her.

I have to call the DJ today & print up some invitations. She found a dress but we have to order it. I am surprised how simple it is since she such a colorful & flashy character.:rotfl:

good gracious....sounds like a lovely party. :goodvibes

I had a bit of a scratchy throat last night. Apparently I was also having phlegm though I didn't realize it at the time. I must say that I had a really upset stomach this morning from it. Hopefully the dimetap I took will have me feeling much better. I do have to work at 4 PM today so I need to feel better. I really don't know why I go from one sickness to the next :confused3

I am so sorry you are still feeling icky.:flower3:

Good morning DDA!!

Congrats to all of you on the weight losses...I am eating a pop tart as I am writing this.:lmao: I don't get pop tarts often (less than once a year)so it's a treat.

Today I am feeling like Snow White AND the Seven Dwarves......:laundy: and hi ho it's off to find work I go.

Here are some pictures from the Chili Cook-off.

Nicholas and Alyssa with their Principal and AP. They are both from PA and Steeler fans.

Today is my 180 mark. The whole thing is making me very fidgety. :hyper: WHY did they have to change the ADR window? Why should I be punished because of the SLACKERS who can't be bothered to work out their itinerary 6 months ahead? :sad2:

Let me see how much I can remember, I have had a raging headache all morning.

Becky- Lots of prayers for your mom, you and the rest of your family.pixiedust:

Anne Marie- Sophie's party sounds fabulous.

Theresa- Enjoy the Pop Tart. I just bought the girls whole grain ones and they gave me the most absolute horrid look when they ate it. Mo shook her head and said "This is no Pop Tart!"

Tammi- Great Pics.

Deb- Glad you called about the job, even though it won't work out for you.

Congrats on all the weightloss!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I know I missed a bunch, pixiedust: and :grouphug:'s.

I am very mad at that stupid groundhog. Yesterday was such a tease and I can't wait for the chill to be gone permanently.

Now that it's all quiet here, I think I may try to sneak a quick nap in. Hopefully it will help the headache.

The Dimetap worked for about 3 hours then the Post Nasal Drip returned. I tried to take a nap, but I felt like I was choking. I finally got up and took some sudafed, a half dose. While I think it will clear the crud I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to sleep tonight as the side effect. I hope that I'm wrong. I need to get myself ready for work as I need to shuttle the boys to my parents house when the get home at 3 PM. Tomorrow I have to run some errand at some point.

:wizard:. I hope the headache is gone by now.

Unfortunately they have never done a cost analysis on their dishes. According to the new chef we are losing money on over half of our dishes based on the current price of everything. While I believe that some things are underpriced I also feel that they could cut back on portion sizes and maintain reasonably priced meals. They want to eliminate our 1/2 portion sizes as they aren't "profitable" and instead supersize everything including the price. This is not the economy to be doing this. Under the newly proposed pricing structure a couple wouldn't get out of there for under $100 with any sort of bar bill. I know I cannot afford that.

So what would you guys be willing to pay for dinner out for two? Maybe I'm over reacting :confused3

I'm the wrong person to ask, because we never eat out as a couple. In fact, it can be like pulling teeth to get a $18 pizza or $25 Chinese food order for the family sometimes. I think that with the economy going the way that it is, a restaurant shouldn't be suddenly changing to a $100/couple place. They do have to find a way to be profitable, though. I don't have a business background, but it seems like it would be more marketable right now to serve reasonable portions at an affordable price.

I'm sorry that you can't make your ADRs today. Last year when I decided relatively "last minute" to go to WDW in August, I would have loved the 90 day window. I can understand why you are annoyed, though!

Congrats to everyone on the great weight loss!

Robyn, I hope your headache is better.

Anne Marie, the place you chose for Sophie's First Communion sounds wonderful!

Deb, I hope that the cold or whatever bug you have leaves soon.

I have spent the whole day doing nothing. I think that is happening too much lately and maybe why I feeling such malaise all the time. It's kind of a vicious cycle. I did finish a book and start another. Now I need to decide what we're having for dinner.

The way I see it, if I am ready to make ADRs now then I should be allowed to make them. There should be some sort of advantage to being ready at the 180 mark. Dragging me down to the 90 day mark with all the other August travelers makes me lose my edge. I already KNOW where I want to eat. People who haven't even decided they are going on a trip yet should not have a level playing field with me. But whatever. I need to e-mail IPO and see what they have to say.

I decided I can't handle not knowing what the Uncles are doing so I e-mailed Uncle1 and asked him what their deal is with WDW. He is working from home today, but of course he hasn't answered my e-mail. :headache:

I think I am in the same cycle....I hope we both get out of it soon! (tuna melts are on the menu tonight here)

 Me, too! I think spring will help me, but that is so far away. I think I've decided on hamburgers tonight. I have a recipe that I want to try for Chicken Satay, but my chicken is still frozen.
