Sounds like lots of good progress in the weight loss/healthy eating arena. My goal for the day....find my water bottle. I love the new water bottle I got a couple of months ago. I went to get it last night and it wasn't where I swear I put it a few weeks ago. So, now I've got to go hunting for it. I struggle with water drinking when I'm not happy with the bottle and this was the first one I have really liked in a long time. If I can't find it, I'm definitely going to get a new one. Can't say I'm trying to give up my Diet Cokes, but I would definitely cut back if I had a bottle of water handy.

It's back to school day here. There was a lot of light rain/freezing rain/28 degree temps out overnight. Rachel was really hoping that would mean no school, but to no avail. Seems our district and the neighboring one may be among the few going to school, but it doesn't seem too bad out now.

Alrighty, I am caught up here, Rachel is off to school, baby is asleep and Phil's laundry is ready for him to leave for work soon. I guess that means I had better get busy doing something. What for sure, I don't know. Laundry needs started, dishwasher emptied, houses searched for, living room picked up, lists made. Hmmmm....houses and lists it is. They are much easier. Oh wait, I think I'll finish the last 10 pages of my book first. That's much more fun. Catch you guys after while. Have a great day!

I did spend 26 minutes on the Fit doing step aerobics last night, then I did a couple yoga things and some ski jumping which don't count as exercise. I finished off the mint chip ice cream, so as long as I don't buy more I should be able to cut down on the sweets. DH bought a case of water for me at Sam's, but I need to buy water for work. I didn't drink any water yesterday.

Thanks! With the way the Disney CMs are always moving/rotating strollers, do you think that type of lock is allowed?

Amy - I was going to mention that they don't like it when you lock strollers to objects that don't move BUT you can lock the wheels together. CM's can "carry" the stroller to the spot where it's supposed to go. So get a lock that's long enough to lock the wheels together. Though someone may just mention "I lost my key/combo for it"...but they'd look mighty stupid in the parks attempting to wheel it around.

We did that the 2nd time in Disney when I had the Peg Perego double for Katie & Daniel. I got a bike lock & locked my wheels together. The stroller was movable by CM's if needed but a guest would look like a thief trying to move that around if they took it. After that we starting bringing umbrella strollers when the kids were older.

I know what you mean! We were there in 2003 after Christmas and it was super crowded... that was my first trip to Disney and I loved it!

Now I'll be going for the 3rd time in a little over a week... I can't wait!!!!

....I'm too excited to sleep!

I have seen a couple of threads on stolen strollers. High end strollers, though, not crummy ones. One lady said a CM told her the expensive strollers get stolen at Christmas because people sell them on eBay for extra cash. I don't know why I read stroller threads. It's not like we use a stroller.
The problem with locking them up is that the CMs can't move them. I think using a lock is frowned upon. Then again, if I was going to have to pay ABBF for a stolen stroller I might consider a lock.

Thanks for your input and suggestions. I think that's the type of lock that ABBF is offering, and for an extra $10, it will give me peace of mind.

Autograph books are almost done (thanks to my wonderful husband). I have lots of laundry and packing to do (trying to figure out what fits/doesn't fit, etc.). I'm still debating whether to buy snacks, diapers, etc. here at home or do a Target trip upon our arrival. I had hoped to be down another 10 pounds before our trip, but it's too late to do anything about that!

I'm trying to get the kids as well-rested as possible. All the holiday celebrating really threw Alyssa and Matty out-of-whack. Noah has his six-month appointment the day we leave. I don't want to say too much for fear of cursing things, but I've had three nights of great sleep. Of course, with Alyssa going back to school today, I had to wake him up.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. If you could spare some for my grandpa...he's in the hospital for blood clot. Thanks so much! I hope 2009 is off to a great start for us all!

Amy - Glad to hear things are coming together!
I would rent the lock and use it the first day. If it is too much of a pain just leave the lock in the room after that.

Princess has a new fairy costume with big wings on the back. I made her take off the costume when she ate breakfast. She only ate a little bit, then INSISTED she was full and wanted to get down. She immediately asked to put the costume back on, then she IMMEDIATELY asked for a snack. Um, no. Not going to work that way.

Remember 2 weeks ago I made an appointment for the dentist? Well I canceled it because the swelling on my gum went away. On Garrett's birthday I noticed swelling in another part of my mouth, so I went in today. I now have antibiotics for an infection in my gums.

They would like for me to have surgery done on my gums, but that does not sound like fun. So I am going to keep doing what I can & going for a cleaning every 3 months. I am sure within the next 2 years I will have to get dentures.

I guess I am lucky I have had my teeth this long considering all the problems I have had since I was young.

The only good thing is that with our prescription card my antibiotics only cost $4

Looks like the boys & I will be making a trip to Ohio this summer Chanon is being a very wonderful tour guide & has planned out some nice things for us to do. We will take the train which is much cheaper than flying & we have a station right here in town.

The boys are looking forward to this trip & they know that Disney this summer is a very slim possibility.

But there is always next year!

I'm around....just dealing with issues with Jonathan's car. Thankfully I have known my mechanic for 20 years....Jonathan always comes up with the most bizarre issues with his car. Then I have to try and explain it to this man....who usually just sighs at me and then says...."My God Kristine, just bring it in, will ya"

On a better note, though... Stonehill College came up with a little more money so Kathrin accepted the job and will start work next Monday!

Hooray for Kathrin!!! What will she be doing at the college?
