I was planning to go to bed soon, but Colby just got up complaining of a tummy ache and sore throat. Chris said he went to bed at 7:30 and he wanted to go earlier than that. I have no idea what's in store for tomorrow :confused3

I hope he is OK this morning!

See. I knew it would happen. Today came anyway. No matter how much I didn't want it to.

have a great day all!

Good morning. Back to reality here. I woke up at 5am & just watched the clock until it was 6am & poof I was up & about getting the kids ready.

Well I did way to much partying food wise over the break & now weigh more than I have while not being pregnant soooo today I am starting weight watchers (at home) & must get at least 20-30lbs off before the summer. I think thats doable. I am looking forward to doing Wii Fit. Back on track!:thumbsup2

Jennifer,
Nice pictures of the girls...love the snowman.

Deb,
Hope everyone well at your house.

Debbie,
Welcome home. The crowds scare me.

Tammi,
I feel the same way you do about today.:sad2:

Becky,
I am with you! Back to being healthy!

Elizabeth,
What is a helicopter mom?

OK, time for reality. I have lesson plans to do so I will bid you all a good morning!

And Elin, this is for you. Here are our new wine racks, courtesy of Ikea. They are looking pretty bare. Any suggestions?

Very nice Robyn!

Thanks.

Love 'em! Name your price range and I will give you suggestions!

Cheap and good;) No more than $25 a bottle

here are some pics of the girls when it snowed here the week before Christmas

Great pics!

I was on the Streets of America that night, and later we watched Illuminations from the balcony at Pop! :goodvibes

DH said he will NEVER go this week again, and he meant it. I was expecting the crowds so I had no expectations. We saw wait times of more than two hours, the streets at the Studios were so packed you couldn't even watch the Citizens of Hollywood. With our fastpasses for TOT we barely got inside the gates when the line stopped. :scared1: Had I purchased tickets for this trip I would have been VERY upset, now after saying that, we accomplished what we went for, and we discovered that a "quick trip" is totally doable, so we want to try it again when it is supposed to be slow.

I am glad you all had a good time even if it was busy. Most importantly, :yay: for more trips!!

I also do not want to go back to work tomorrow. Although not like I had any sort of break. As I worked Saturday, New Years family dinner, attended viewing, funeral, etc.

I got like nothing done I wanted to do.

Although I had wanted to go to WDW to do the princess half and/or 5k. I doubt that will happen, so I am thinking of signing up for the Lehigh Valley half marathon in May.

As of tomorrow I am eating healthy, drinking water, milk and juice and doing at least 30 minutes of exercise 5 out of 7 days. I need to get back on the wagon, I have been off far too long.

Becky, I am right there with you. I got up and did 20 minutes on the tread mill and plan to keep that up 5 x week, I need to start back with my water drinking. I am determined this is the year I WILL do it. I want to be down at 25lbs by the end of April.

Robyn - beautiful ornaments, and I love the wine rack.

Thanks.

:wizard: I hope he is feeling better this morning.

Are you MOCKING me?

Robyn - Good thing your wine racks are almost empty or I would drive up and empty them for you. Some progress has been made on the science crap, but not enough. :sad2: Your wine racks look sturdier than the ones my ExBosses had. They were metal like that, but you stuck the neck of the bottle through a hole in the rack and the bottles were parallel to the wall. I was shocked that 1) the rack never fell off the wall and 2) that the whole neck of the bottle never snapped off. I think it is just a matter of time. :scared:

You are welcome here anytime!! Eric's usually pretty good about securing things to the walls, they may not be straight but they're secure.

Isn't Jonathan some sort of physics prodigy? I think your referral would be grossly misplaced with me. Unless your children are studying the habits of the North Texas Helicopter Mom. Then I am your girl. ;)

:lmao:

See. I knew it would happen. Today came anyway. No matter how much I didn't want it to.

It's just not fair!

Jennifer great pictures, love the snowman with the guitar :thumbsup2

Deb I hope Colby is feeling better this morning :wizard:

Morning DDA! I've dreaded today as well (even though I worked on Friday) so I spurged on a McCafe Mocha from McDonalds. Definately NOT Starbucks when you see them break out the RediWhip, no matter what the new ads say.

:rotfl:

I hope you all have smooth returns to work, however long you may have been off!

Sorry I'm not doing a great job at keeping up, I just can't seem to recover from all the holiday party hosting with 2 girls who can't recover from the constant changes in schedule! I must admit, though, they're much more resilient than I am! :headache:

We're back from our whirlwind trip, things went well but I have to say that I don't recommend that anyone go the week fter Christmas, it is a total madhouse!

Welcome back! Sorry to hear that it was so crowded, but I'm glad there are more quick trips in your future.

It looks like the January slowdown has already hit the restaurant. I only waited on 9 people :sad2: I didn't have anyone sit after 6:30 and they were all gone by 7:30. We closed the restaurant early as it was completely empty. Usually people are using up gift certificates for a couple of weeks after Christmas :confused3 Maybe everyone stayed home to prepare for the reality that tomorrow will bring to most households.

It was nice to walk into a reality clean house for a change :thumbsup2

Isn't it nice?!?! I think that everytime I walk into the bathroom. Terra was taking a long playing bath the other day so I cleaned the bathroom really well while I was in there with her. It just feels so nice when there aren't spots on the mirror and dust everywhere.

Love it!!!

It sure did. And that night was way too short. Colby finally fell asleep around midnight, but I just tossed and turned anyway. It's time to get the kids up so we'll see how he is feeling. I know that I have a sore throat and Chris has had one for days, not to mention a nasty cold. I'm sure that Colby isn't going to be 100%, the question is can he make it to school.

I hope everyone was feeling oaky when they woke up his morning.

Good luck! I do not envy you today.

Yeah, it's just not the same by any means is it? Ours have free lattes on Fridays right now and it was so sweet, even I had to throw mine out after one sip. I hope they just messed that one up and it's not always that bad.

I might have missed it being posted, but did you all see that appetizers are back in the ddp? That's the thing I missed most about the ddp. The tips I could live with and understood, but I love the appetizers!
