Alyssa lost her second tooth tonight. Actually, she pulled it out herself. The other tooth is almost completely in, behind the baby tooth. So the tooth fairy is has to wait awhile to make sure she is sleeping really tight.

Yikes! I didn't know to look for one! We're not back to work until January 5th! I went in for a few hours today, but didn't look at the loading dock for packages. I'll look tomorrow...

it can wait until the 5th!! Don't go back on purpose...I paid to get it there before you all had gone for vacation...USPS must have sat on it instead!

With that I think I am getting off and trying to get more than 4 hours sleep tonight....a little reading, a little movie to fall asleep to.

Tomorrow is laundry and Costco/grocery shopping...we were invited to a band family party on NYE and need to bring an horsey dorvey or dessert...I think I will make fudge and rice treats or maybe something else will strike my fancy.

I am on the phone with Kathrin. She is upset that she cannot get to the funeral. She can't fly into any airport less than 3 hours away from our hometown. She can't get a train into any town or back out from any town that is remotely close.

She tried to persuade me that she should rent a car and make the drive. Google tells her is will only take 8 hours. My brother made the drive one time and it took 14 and he said it was a horrible drive and he would never do it again.

Why my in-laws decided that this all had to take place so quickly and on New Year's Eve I will never know. (vent over.... thank you.)

I am enjoying the book the girls got me for Christmas...Sandra Brown "The Crush"

Salvation in Death, the latest JD Robb book. A girlfriend got it for me for Christmas. (Elin, I'd be happy to pass it on when I'm through) It's a murder mystery, as all her books are, about a priest who is poisoned during Mass, as he is consecrating the wine. The wine was poisoned with cyanide and he falls out during Mass and dies. So when I was at Mass on Sunday I kept thinking about the book, and what I would do if that truly happened. Shows you where my head is during that time.

Poor girl. She needs to realize in her heart that it just isn't feasible, and figure out a way to pay her respects in some other way. Everyone knows she would be there if she could.
