Guys, I know it is late, but we could sure use some prayers right now.

Leighanna hasn't been feeling well, and we thought that maybe she had a stomach virus. Well, tonight she still hasn't been able to keep anything down or had no desire to eat.

We took her to the ER and they ran some tests, and feel that she is having an appendicitis. They are transferring her to Dayton Children's hospital tonight and are going to either operate or check further.

I just came home real quick to grab a couple of things, and ask for your prayers.

I will let you know how all goes.

Thanks!

Any update? I hope all is well! :wizard:

I have that bag.

Me too, in red! I haven't used it in the parks yet.

I was just catching up before posting an update. What a long night. After I got her showered and settled back down in her bed, I laid down with her, probably around 12:30. She fell asleep for awhile and I dozed on and off but everytime she squirmed I was awake. What I really was concerned about was projectile vomiting landing in my face. Anyway, I don't know what time it was, maybe around 2, she throws the covers off and makes a beeline for the bathroom. Thank goodness she made it, and hit the toilet. Not much was let in there to come out though. I slept with her all night, just in case (of what, I'm not sure). She woke up this morning, looks good, acts good, no fever. Plus she was hungry. She's eating some oatmeal now. I'm thinking she just ate too much. Plus she had a half a can of Pepsi. My kids rarely get soda, usually it's only a drink or 2 of mine. So I think the soda gave her bad gas. At least that's what I'm hoping.

I hope the brief relapse this morning has passed, and that she is feeling 100% quickly!

Kyle is moonlighting all day (until 1 am! :() and I got virtually no sleep last night, so I'm hoping the girls will go easy on me. I can't nap because I have too much to do before we have Christmas here, but at least I wouldn't be easily irritated! :)

The Bengals are playing fairly well against Cleveland, it's shocking! We don't have the Steelers game today, but I'm seeing highlights. Hopefully something will switch over to it if the game stays good!

Tom- Lots of good thoughts for Leighanna. :wizard:

Tammi- Glad Alyssa is acting like herself. :wizard: that it stays away.

Debbie- Enjoy your well deserved time off.

Vicki- Enjoy your time at home.

Elin- Have lots and lots of fun.

Tia- Safe travels. :wizard: 's

Elizabeth- We have that bag and used it in the parks. I also lent it to my girlfriend when she went to Disney and she loved it so much she ordered one for herself. I use it now as Lu's diaper bag, mainly because Eric will carry it.

Well, I survived the breakfast. Lucis napping and Em and Mo are playing with their new loot. My house is relatively ready for tonight, just a few things left to do but I need another nap. My sinuses are acting up and the right side of my face is killing me.

Talk to you later.

Robyn - I hope you feel better! :wizard: glad you survived the breakfast

Happy Hanukkah

we had fun at Fiesta Texas yesterday. Mom loved watching Virginia ride the rides as she was grinning ear to ear. Just like at WDW

It sounds like the bag is a popular choice!
It is still below freezing outside so I haven't gone down to get all the stuff out of the car. I need to do that.

I think I can probably take back some of the stuff I bought for DS. He doesn't need 3 more pairs of Nike wind pants because he hardly ever wears the pair he has. Since they aren't uniform compliant he can only wear them on weekends anyway, so having a total of 4 is probably overkill.

so yesterday afternoon I started loosing my voice.

Today it is pretty much gone. I am able to whisper to Olivia. I tried to call Jeff earlier and had to end up texting him. Good thing I don't work till Tues.

I finally took a picture of our tree to show you guys

Becky my ornaments arrived. I love them. How did you make the mickey head ones?

Thanks, Tia! Oh, what fun it is to open a gift from a very dear friend!

Very nice:thumbsup2 I'm sure it added a bit to the Disney spirit too ;)

They have H2O products. :teeth: LOVE the lotion! We convenently had a maid cart outside our door one day and stocked up.

GUESS WHAT?! My cousin is pregnant! She is the one that lost the baby last year. She is due the 7th of July, and my friend (the one I mentioned a last week) is due the 30th of July. We are so happy for her. Her husband is worried to death already, but the are both prepared with the right medication now. Please keep all three of them in your prayers.

:cool1: :cool1:

Speaking of pregnancy...No I'm not pregnant...but I did read a headline today at the checkout that said that Angelina is expecting twins again :confused3

Elin- Safe travels tomorrow. Have a very Merry Disney Christmas.

Tammi- Love, love Alyssa's new 'do.

Chanon- Lots of good thoughts for your cousin and friend. :wizard:

Deb- :wizard: for all that seems to be on your plate.

Steffy- I agree with everyone else that it is wonderful to have you back.

I am still no where near where I should be as far as being ready for tomorrow morning. I have 20+ people (thankfully they are all family so I really shouldn't be so frantic) showing up here at 8:30am for breakfast. I have wasted a ton of time (watched Eric hang Christmas lights, chatted with Gail a bit & took a nap) but also managed get a lot done. But it's inevitable that the more I clean the more mess I make!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekends.
I hope that all went smoothly. I'm a little behind. The Hanukkah presents under the Christmas tree had us laughing :rotfl:

The family I sat for last night had all the kids' little Hanukkah art projects from school. So cute! I like Hanukkah. :)

Princess gave me an ornament tonight that she chose all by herself. It is a Lenox Mickey & Minnie. It says "Our First Christmas", but Momboss said Princess INSISTED on THAT ornament. So I will display it proudly (away from Arabella) and know that it was chosen with much love. I don't have my other Lenox ones on the tree since we weren't sure about the cats. We never did find that loop of fishing line. :confused3 Luckily the tree is still standing!

Is this your first Christmas caring for her? I'm thinking not. I mistakenly bought a Disney first Christmas Ornament at the Disney store I'm thinking I may just put Family or maybe Fun over the first somehow.

I need to get back on track again as well. I am disgusted with myself on how heavy I am again. We can do this Deb.

We can definitely do this:thumbsup2 I am totally geared up for the New Year. Of course I'm pigging out now, but I am in the right mindset now to do it and do it right.

Kirsten and I were shopping at Target tonight....there was a fairly young man (I'd say 25) holding his 2 year old kid....the kid was screaming bloody murder and was actually hitting his father in the face......Kirsten and I just looked at each other and went on our merry way.

As were were leaving the store...I saw something out of the corner of my eye....a young child running into the street....an older lady started screaming as a car headed for this kid. If I wouldn't of ran into the street and grabbed this kid by the coat and yanked him back..... I have no doubt this kid would be dead!

After I delivered him back into the store, I realized it was the same screaming kid....the father seemed totally unfazed. Me on the other hand was in a cold sweat!
OMG  :scared1: Unbelievable. Where's that I'm surrounded by idiot's button? We all need one.

I'm home. Roads were great most of the way. There was maybe 30-40 miles total in different places where it was a little slick. It is nice being home with Chuck and the girls.

I'm glad you made it safely.

Holy crap! That's alotta loot!

It looks ilke alot more than it is...plus we have mine, joes, grandmas, mom, dad, and joes girlfriends presents under there. Now that we are older, mom, dad and grandma get more from us as well..plus now with joes girlfriend, she has gifts for all of us and we all have ones for her

We went to the grocery store, which wasn't that bad. My menu has now changed from prime rib to ham. Then we went to get Nicholas' hair trimmed. Guess who decided she wanted her hair cut while we were there. It was VERY traumatic for me to let Rene cut all that hair off, AND give her bangs, but I survived. She has to live with it, right? Plus it will grow back, right? It's supposed to come to points in the front, but we need to work with it a bit. This was with my cell camera, so not the best quality.

Oh and a package came from Terra for Alyssa. She loves the Chip and Dale ornament. Thank you so much! I'll post pictures later.

Newhairdo.jpg

The haircut is darling! I know how traumatic it is to watch, though. We went through the same thing with Leslie this summer. I do think Alyssa's hair is so cute, and it will grow!

Becky my ornaments arrived. I love them. How did you make the mickey head ones?

Glad you got your package.

The Mickey head ornaments are made out of flour/salt dough, cut out with a Mickey head cookie cutter and then baked, and painted.

They are part of the reason all my packages were delayed. I had painted them and then dropped some on the floor and they broke. So I had to make others. I hope everyone's made it in one piece.

She also makes the same thing but with walnuts. I don't like walnuts.

Thank you for the Christmas card.

I don't either. Walnuts give me mouth sores!

You are most welcome!

Thank you!

Stephanie - :woohoo: for Christmas spirit!

I hope you find yours soon Deb. Now that the boys are done with school for awhile, that should relieve a tiny bit of stress. I hope. I haven't done much menu planning either. I was originally going to fix prime rib, but I've never done that before and chickened out. Actually, I hammed out. :rotfl: So we are having ham. I would love to have green bean casserole, but kids won't eat it. Only plain beans. So I opted for veggie medley (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots), sweet potatos, cranberries (that only Bob and I will eat), rolls and a salad. Nothing real festive, but I know it will get eaten.

That menu sounds good to me! Almost identical to what we are having at my dad's house. We are also making scalloped potatoes, and a jello salad to go along. We'll mull some cider and call it good!

I have decided to cancel my Mexico trip for this summer. I was thinking about it and because it is an all inclusive, it is ridiculously expensive. i can go on another cruise to alaska for alot less so I think thats what I will do. .I am not sure who else will go on the cruise, but it is on a ship that we know some of the workers so I am excited!

Nope, I'm here. Which station do you catch the T coming into town? Would you take I-89 to I-93? If what google mapped me to drive fron your town to Boston, I'd get on the Haverhill line of the commuter rail. I'm not sure what stop is best, but just see how the map looks to you on that. I'm thinking maybe Ballardvale or North Wilmington.

There's a train that gets into North Station at 11:07 on weekdays. You'd board at the above stations around 10:25. That arrival would work really well for the 1:00 show. Give you time to cover delays, but not there too early either.

After the show, you can just get on the orange line from North Station and go to Downtown Crossing. Switch to the Red Line there and go to South Station. From there, it's just a few blocks walk to the museum. We used to love going to the Friday night things!

For food, you could walk or ride (weather depending) from North Station/arena to Quincy Market and find all kinds of choices. Or, when you get off of the Red Line at South Station, there are a lot of options inside the train station, along with lots of seating.

There are trains back out of the city that leave at 8:30, 10:25, 12:10. Getting you back to the car around 9:15, 11:15, 12:45 respectively.

Hope those help!! If you have any questions, email me or post and I'll try to answer them.
Thanks for the info. I plan to investigate the T website before now and then. I think it will be easier to take the T and a different experience for the kids. Have a Great Trip.

Alyssa has been crying on and off for the past hour and a half about lower abdominal pain, from her belly button down. She'll run to the bathroom and nothing. It comes and goes. I've felt her tummy but don't feel anything hard. She's dozing now but keeps squirming everyone once in awhile. She's really in a lot of pain and I don't know what to do. The pain comes and goes.
I hope to read that she is better by now.

:wizard: :wizard:  I hope that she is much better by now.

I feel like we are in a deep freeze, it is -5 degrees now with a high of 4 for today, BRRRRRRRRRR!

My fridge & stove are back in the kitchen :cool1: Both boys stayed with friends last night & I was trying to think of something quick to fix Gary & myself to eat & I was like  I have my stove back! So at 9 last night Gary & I made ham & egg sandwiches lol

I can actually cook now, but I am not sure if that is a good thing or not :rotfl:

My dining room looks so bare now, but the Christmas tree will take care of that. We still have some cleaning to do, but I think our family coming over for Christmas are really going to be awed by what Gary has done since they last checked.

I just love my kitchen!

I can't see the finished pictures.

:wizard: :wizard: hopefully it is just a quicky moving virus :wizard: :wizard:
