Happy Thanksgiving! FINALLY! It was the day I had been waiting for. I was up, showered, and ready to go by 10. Of course, the game wasn’t til 3:15, so we had plenty of time. My dad and I decided to walk around the streets around our hotel and see what was around. We took some pictures of the christmas tree and picked up a few things from the store. We also went to a local firehouse and met some of the guys-since my dad and brother are firemen ,we do this everywhere we go.

I had to take a picture of this sign I saw in the window since you don’t see these in Jersey!

We got back to the hotel and watched tv for a bit until I could not stand waiting anymore and convinced dad to leave around noon. These are pictures while I was waiting to leave and driving my dad crazy at the hotel

We grabbed a taxi to the stadium and I could hardly contain my excitement. I couldn’t believe I was there! This was my first view of the stadium

We found our seats first--they were great! We could see everything. I ended up going down to the front row for a bit to take pictures of the field and watch the guys warming up.

Dad and I then bought a few things from the shops and grabbed lunch. We walked around for a bit more and it was finally game time! I can not even explain the feeling of being there--it was better than I had even imagined. I love football and this was just an unbelievable experience. I was there, surrounded by dallas fans and cheered and yelled the entire game!

I had one drink--to the tune of 7.50!

And they won, which made it even better!

After the game, I took some pictures around the stadium

and we headed to the taxi line, which was about a 1.5-2 hour wait. After 30 minutes, a guy came up to the line and said he had a limo going to downtown dallas for a certain price. My dad and I took it. We would have had another hour at least in line and it was starting to rain. The taxi would have been at least 50.00 because of traffic so we jumped on the limo. It turns out it was a Stretch H2 Limo for 16 passengers. It was huge! It was a great ride and I had a blast in that limo.

We got back to our hotel and decided to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant . It was the best Thanksgiving I have ever had and I will never forget it.

Friday november 28, 2008
Our alarm was set for 5:30 this morning and it was definitely hard to wake up! But once I realized what our plans were, I was up and running around to get ready. We had a 7:00am tour of the stadium planned. We took a taxi to the stadium and bought our tickets, which were only 12.00 each! We waited in line for a few minutes

The tour began by going in one of the suites, then to the locker room. We were able to get pictures in frotn of my favorite players lockers, which was fun. We walked through the players’ tunnel and out onto the field! This was my favorite part of the day. I got pictures standing on the star in the middle of the field, in the endzone, on the sidelines, at the 50 yard line, etc. I took a a lot of pictures! We saw a proposal too, which happened on the star in the middle of the field--now that’s how I want to be proposed to! It was great! It was an amazing experience being on the field and taking the pictures. We spent some time in the gift shop and then headed back to the hotel. I have a ton of pictures from this so ill just add a bunch now…

It was then time for a short nap and I packed up my suitcase and went through the goodies that we bought at the stadium. After a bit, we walked to another local firehouse to visit with the guys and I ended up buying my brother a shirt from the department. It started pouring rain and we were going to call for a taxi but the firemen wouldn’t hear of it and they drove us to the hotel in the firetruck! Dad and I then decided to go to the dallas world aquarium to kill some time. It was fun and we stayed for about an hour until we headed to lunch at Fridays. The plan then was to go to the 6th floor museum, but there was a huge line and we decided to skip it. Instead, we walked around and headed back to the hotel for a bit. We decided on Italian for dinner and the hotel gave us a recommendation for a restaurant close by. We walked there, and the place was closed for the whole weekend! Instead, we were g oing to head back to the hotel and grab a cab t oanother restaurant when we walked by Ravennas bar/restaurant. It was actually really good and we were done and in the hotel by 8. I was absolutely exhausted and I think I was asleep by 9

Saturday November 29, 2008
We were up and ready pretty early since I had gone to sleep so early the night before. We walked around outside of the hotel for a bit and then headed to the airport for our 12:50 flight. Nothing too exciting happened but we had a couple of military men on our flight. When talking to them, we found out they were going to a base not too far from my house but they didn’t have a ride and were going to get a taxi. We ended up taking them and we stopped for dinner first. They are going to be deployed to iraq in a couple of weeks. We exchanged numbers and decided we will get together for dinner, etc a few times befrore they get deployed--what a great couple of guys.

All in all it was an amazing trip and the best thanskgiving I can remember. I am so glad that I went and think that I will be going to dallas every year!

Jen it sounds like an amazing trip. I think you need to find a board similar to the DIS for Dallas fans. You need to find a man that loves the Cowboys as much as you, if you want that center of the field proposal Of course he must love Disney too.

So I went through the presents and for once Abi has more presents than Cassidy so I have 2 items to get to even it out. I even think I know what I am getting to even it out.

So I think I need to go buy a baby gate that can go around the tree before I set it up. otherwise every ornament within reach of a certain 2ft tall princess will be off the tree.

I am such a wimp. I keep watching the thermometer thinking that it will warm up a little, but it ain't happening. The lawn is and everything that I left out on it is still covered in a blanket of frost. Tomorrow it is supposed to be in the mid 40s, but raining. Maybe going out in the rain would be better than the cold Or maybe there will be a break in the rain long enough for me to be productive. Or maybe we don't need all the lights and decorations out this year I think I may go out to make the returns that I need to make and see what happens from there.

We got freezing rain last night and its still coming down.

They are predicting rain and/or snow this afternoon and evening. I'm not ready for that.

Robyn - Good luck getting back in the groove. I am doing laundry today because I only managed to do 2 loads yesterday.

I just saw on another thread that you can get $100 worth of Wolfgang Puck gift cards for $80 on the Costco site. I am not a Costco member, but that is a really good deal! AP's get 20% off lunch or 10% off dinner so that would be a decent savings!

I noticed it this morning, but a couple of times it had something else their. It says if you book a trip by the 23rd of Dec. for 2009 you would get a call from Mickey on Christmas day.
