I had a lovely lunch with Marci & Lindsay. :goodvibes I am out the door in 10 minutes to babysit.

I'm glad that you all could carve out time to get together :goodvibes

I working on doing a bit of decorating. I'm not really in the Christmas spirit this year so I am scaling back. At least the kids will have some things up. I'm also having trouble finding places for things since we redecorated.

Chuck's worst nightmare has been realized. Chatting with his wife on the computer when she is sitting right beside him. We have a chat going with Katrina, him & I. She is doing homework so we have to leave her alone now though. :lmao:

Elin I'm sorry that you had to cut out so many things. I'm sure that overall it won't effect the experience. You will be at Disney for Christmas afterall.

When I read your post that Coral Reef wouldn't be doing the diver or personalized menus I told Chris we needed to go before 2009 :lmao: Can you believe that he laughed at me. :confused3 Of course he is currently cutting up the Mickey Head shaped pizza with the Mickey pizza cutter and serving it on our Mickey pizza plates. He wanted to know who wanted an ear :goodvibes

:rotfl2:

:rotfl2: We have done that with Kristin on her laptop in her bedroom, Bob on his laptop in the office/guest room and me on my laptop in the living room. Out house is so small this is beyond hysterical.

I finally got the ornaments on the tree tonight! I also hung the Christmas wreath, Santa slate and my Christmas flag outside. I think I am done!

Oh, yeah... apparently my gorgeous Santa tree topper didn't get put away with the rest of the ornaments. Either it is in another box somewhere or my missing tree now has been decorated with sunglasses, shorts and a topper!

Glynis you have to try fruit cake, I think you'll like it.

Elizabeth, glad you had a nice time at lunch.

I've had a bit of a rough morning. What I thought would be a simple phone call to Sears has me angry beyond words. I think I mentioned last night that my Mother had ordered a bicycle at Sears.com for $68.88. When the package arrived yesterday it was a double jog stroller. So this morning I call and pointed out there error and requested that they send the correct product. I was told that it is now out of stock, but they would be happy to refund us the money. I explained that was unacceptable as we are not able to purchase another bike at that price at this time. It is obviously their error and they have already received the money so they need to find the correct bike or comp us a similar one. They are not at all willing to do either. They want to pick up the stroller and give us a whopping 10% discount for our inconvenience. I can get 10% off anyday so that is not at all helpful. Plus the only available bikes start at $249 now :scared1: I ended up speaking to 3 people and they all tried to manipulate the conversation back to it being my problem. I explained that it is not my problem as I have in my possession a $299.99 stroller and they have $68.88. If they want the stroller back they need to provide the bicycle. I even tried to explain to them that even though the computer is showing that the item is no longer available, the bike that we ordered is sitting on a warehouse shelf somewhere. One lady even told me that I was her 3rd call in 20 minutes, apparently they sent the stroller out for other bikes too. So somewhere there is a warehouse full of bikes. One CS rep told me she wouldn't even order another bike from Sears.com since you probably wouldn't get what you ordered anyway :scared1: Now isn't that great customer service? I requested to speak with a manager and they are supposed to call me within 24 hours. The supervisor kept insisting that she will be sending a pick up slip. I told her not to bother, no pick up until I have a bike  We'll see where it goes from here. I just couldn't believe that they were unwilling to do anything. How hard is it for Sears to call a warehouse just to find out what happened? Obviously that is too much to ask. So if they won't work with us we will be keeping the stroller and selling it on ebay, then we can use the money to buy a more expensive bike.

So am I overreacting? Does satisfaction guaranteed mean anything? WWYD? :confused3

I went through a strikingly similar situation with a carseat and Target recently. I am not sure that there is much to do, and it's not worth the energy to fight... but you're right, the bottom line is that service means NOTHING to these companies! :sad2:

Of course no manager has returned my call yet. I suspect they like to wait as long as they can within the 24 hour return call period for customers to "cool off". Of course my mind is reeling. I'm thinking it could be considered "bait and switch" since they cannot provide me with what I ordered, but want more money for a similar item :confused3 I'm hoping that I don't have to push to that extreme. Maybe the manager will be more willing to discuss options. Better yet, maybe someone is actually trying to locate the damn stack of undelivered bikes:rotfl2:

I can link you if you'd like to the discussion that happened regarding the carseats... it turns out that usually the companies cover their butts 100% regarding pricing errors, online stock issues, etc. Most likely there is nothing you can do, but that didn't stop some people in the situation I mentioned earlier from filing all sorts of complaints and reports. If it makes you feel better that's cool for sure, but I'm not sure anything will come of it. Good luck! :goodvibes

:rotfl: Too funny!

Deb, I would totally just sell the stroller and buy a better bike -- from somewhere OTHER than Sears, of course! :thumbsup2

We baked for about 12 hours today, not including what my mom and I had pre-prepared earlier this week. I'm exhausted, and hoping the girls actually let us sleep tonight! :faint:

Have a great night, DDA! :goodvibes

Chris and I used to do that when we were both posting on the DIS :rotfl: I've been known to call his cell phone from another room instead of yelling too:thumbsup2

But I do have a $300 double jogging stoller that I'm holding ransom

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I just want to make sure they don't try to charge the credit card for the balance on the stroller which I did NOT order. Of course we would have the credit card stop payment anyway, but better to be safe than sorry.

:wizard: Sleep good for Mamma girls:wizard:

I brought Nick over to my parents house to spend the night. I ended up spending an hour and a half cleaning tracking cookies off her computer. It was moving at a snails pace. It is much better now though. Mom and I decided to go to Manchester, NH to the mall tomorrow. We haven't done a shopping trip in years and we both have some free time. I'm digging out all my coupons and creating lists now.
