I took Kristin to work at 8:30 this morning and then stayed out shopping until she was done at 2:00!

I hit Marshall's, Ross, Kohl's and World Market. I spent about $250 and got:

a merino wool sweater for Bob
4 turtlenecks for Bob
3 "dressy" sweatshirt-type shirts for Bob
7 camisoles for Kristin
3 silky-knit long-sleeved shirts for Kristin
3 sweaters for Kristin
2 pair of winter pajamas for me
1 long-sleeved shirt for me
2 pairs of Hane's opaque tights for me
2 bars of Kristin's favorite chocolate
4 wine bags
8 cellophane goodie bags
1 fancy box for packing cookies
1 package of tissue paper
1 bamboo backscratcher

Great buys!

The peanut butter, molasses, fruitcake, and snickerdoodles are done. That leaves the chocolate chip and oatmeal if I remember all that she made.

Theresa, I am so sorry you are having to go thru this.

Just remember to try as hard as you can not to raise your voice when you are in the room with the girls. They need to know they can come to you when they need to feel safe. If he continues to raise his voice, they will not want to be around him.

So the gift card SPRC gave me was to Macy's...I was going to try and splurge a little and get something clothing wise for me from there. The clothing section for my size is a joke. So I found what I thought was a great deal on a small soup pot.....I just opened it up and there was no lid. Makes me mad and gives me the giggles too.....kind of indicative of my time at LUMC...I must have lost my lid.

Elizabeth-I hope your mother does come today. But, I have a feeling she won't and for that I am very sorry. (been there done that, gave up 17 years ago)

Much to my surprise she DID show up. Without calling first. She took DS out for awhile. I took Diva to 2 malls and 2 shopping centers so she could buy exactly 2 things from stores she has at home. Whatever. We are all going to dinner in a little bit.

I never, ever thought I would have to do what Marci said about writing things down about Jim but we hit a turning point. He just threatened that he didn't want me to have the girls. I am trying very hard to be nice but that just turned a page and I just told him so.

I am sorry to hear that, Theresa. I will agree with everyone else who has said divorce situations can turn ugly very quickly.

Tammi, the new room is terrific!

Well, it is probably an ornament, along with Elizabeth's (?) sunglasses!

The sunglasses are Bernadette's. I lost a pair of khaki pants.

I picked up a couple of ornaments at Kohl's today. They have their Hallmark ornaments discounted. They didn't have much of a selection, but they had a few that I wanted.
