I just felt left out from all of you leaving so soon!

And, I finally mailed out my ornament exchanges today! I've only had them boxed up and ready to go for about a week now!

Becky & Katrina are really excited. Their new laptops came early. They weren't supposed to ship until tomorrow let alone arrive today. They are having fun setting them up. Mom is enjoying it because in the end she is the one that bought the laptops for them. We are giving her our old ones for my sister and her kids. They have webcams and speakers built-in. They were having fun testing chatting with those. I'm excited because hopefully, I won't be working on computers every time I see them. These are under warranty and they can have Dell take care of any issues.

We are having a second Thanksgiving. Well, kind of. We are having a nice ham dinner with all the fixings. Thanksgiving dinner was fantastic at my sister-in-laws but it will be nice to just relax with the 5 of us (mom is here visiting since she will be at my sister's for Christmas).

Mom & I are baking cookies today. Mom made all the cookie dough before we got here but we are baking them here. The house smells great.

The boys and I spent 5 hours outside working on decorations. We made great progress, but it is not finished. Hopefully tomorrow it will be done.
Chris even lended a hand after work. Man it got cold out there once the sun set.

I never, ever thought I would have to do what Marci said about writing things down about Jim but we hit a turning point. He just threatened that he didn't want me to have the girls. I am trying very hard to be nice but that just turned a page and I just told him so.

I think I'll take a hot bath and try to get feeling back in my toes. Then maybe I'll tackle the tree

Theresa, At their age, their say in what they want would be highly considered by the girls. He realizes that they are the only things that are important to you so he is trying to push your buttons. Easier said than done, but try not to let him. I hope it doesn't come to a battle between the both of you. Are you still all living in the same house?

It was in the low 50s here with lots of sunshine, so I got all the outside lights put up. I'm done. Now when I get home from our trip, I can just sit back and enjoy the weeks leading up to the holiday. Well, I take that back. I still have a little more shopping to do. And LOTS of wrapping.

Theresa, I will give you some wise advice that I got from Stephanie. Get yourself a snarky lawyer. Get a partial agreement in writing, from a judge. Something. Right now, he could take the girls, clean out the house, take all the money, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. Get some type of temporary custody and spousal support order legalized. No matter how agreeable/civil it has been, it WON'T stay that way. TRUST ME!

No matter how good a divorce is, you MUST write things down. You never, ever know when things will turn. I cannot express this loudly enough. My sister had the absolute best divorce any person could hope to imagine. They were best friends, celebrated all holidays together, shopped together, helped each other on their house maintenance projects, she cut his hair, etc. And then he met another woman. Things deteriorated so badly that he has had no contact with them for over 2 years now. Write down EVERYTHING no matter how small it seems now.
