My bosses ended up cancelling their trip. Dadboss' grandmother is sick, so his mom is staying at the hospital to make sure they get all the info from the doctors. Princess was HUGELY disappointed. I feel terrible for not inviting them to come over here tomorrow, but our place is definitely NOT in any shape for company. I also don't know what the schedule will be since DH is working.

My mom just called to say they are at the KS/OK border. They didn't leave the house until 2 PM. That means they won't get to my sister's house until around 11 PM. The whole reason for leaving today was so they would arrive at a REASONABLE hour instead of in the middle of the night. Whatever. I told her she does NOT need to call me when they get there, because I don't plan to be up at 11 PM and I don't want the phone to wake DH.

We just went to the store and grabbed a few more things. Sweets, mostly. We now have 3 pies, the stuff to make a Jell-O dessert, ice cream, marshmallows (DS insisted), Cool Whip. Guess I should plan to go out Friday and buy myself a tent to wear.

I do need to ask for some Pixie Dust, DD went to the doctor today and he wanted to keep her overnight for observation because of her blood pressure, she convinced him to let her go home, but I have given her strict orders to go to bed and stay there, so dinner has been moved here.

Safe Travels and Happy Thanksgiving to all! I probably won't be online tomorrow as I am cooking-something I don't normally do. It will just be the 5 of us and my sister Karen-I'm excited to see her-it has been months.

Bernadette - Hope it is nothing serious. What are you hitting JoAnn's for on Friday?

I enjoy going out on Black Friday. The last couple of years I've hit Kohl's and done well but I went a few weeks ago with a 30% coupon (and did better than most of Friday's deals). So I think I'll just hit JoAnn's. They have flannel for $1.49 and I have a coupon for 20% off til noon. They also have fleece for I think $2.99. I hear it can be crazy. I hope it isn't too bad. I also need a new printer and mouse so I may hit Staples or do that online. AND... I only have 14GB of memory for my new camera. Each picture at full resolution is over 6MB so that is "only" about 2,000 photos worth. I may pick up another 2GB or 4GB if I find a bargain.

How is it that I've wrapped presents 3 or 4 times now, and still feel like I'm getting nowhere?! Lord help me when the girls get bigger and I actually shop significantly more for them! I don't know how you all do it.


We're picking up the holiday pictures today, I'll try and share them ASAP! I hope you are all having a great day!

We also don't wrap here. Like Robyn said-everything is ready for playing. The toy packages can be SO frustrating to open-I can't imagine doing that Christmas morning. I make the kids wait at the top of the stairs for DH to be ready to go downstairs. So they sit on the top couple of steps and try to see what they might have recieved-I have a picture of them on the stairs from every year.

Well, I have a news flash for DH! His tickets can't be changed! We would have to cancel the ticket he has with miles and buy him a ticket. I am not sure what happens to the ticket he has on miles if we cancel it. I am guessing we can use the miles for another flight, subject to all sorts of restrictions? This gets more and more complicated. Not worth it. Absolutely NOT worth it. Why can't we do this in 2010 when we will be there for 2 weeks?

SO...you & DS go for 2 weeks so you'll have enough time to go to Universal and DH goes for just the original dates-you see Universal during the time DH is there.

Well, it was a quiet night, last night. No significant contractions, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

This morning is another story, however. I sent Katie in to make sure the guest room is guest ready. She decided that she could make the bed by jumping on it, and crashed into the overhead lamp. Now the light won't work, and the bed is covered in glass shards. Grrrr! Why would an 11 year old think that was a good idea????? I'm trying not to be angry, as she could have been seriously hurt, but she wasn't, and I'm angry.

My brother and his family will be here in 2 to 4 hours, and now there is no light in their room, and our vacuum cleaner is not working, so I can't pick up the miniscule glass shards. I put a call in to Alan, and he's going to try to come home on his lunch hour and deal with it all.

Anyone want an 11 year old girl??? I'll sell her cheaply!

Glynis I'm betting it is something she won't be doing again.

I need to head off to work. When I get home I can clean the turkey and make the stuffing. I could also make the corn muffins though I may wait until tomorrow morning. It is being reported that many stores are going to have there Black Fridays sales start online at Midnight tonight so I will have to stay up to check that out too. Then I need to put the Turkey in the oven at 4 AM which will require stuffing it at that time. Of course I plan on very little sleep tomorrow night too

I have to check out Staples on line-they have free shipping-might be easier.

oh good she is about 28 weeks. If you have any questions about PIH( blood pressure problems) in Pregancy just let me know. I deal with those patients every day.

Our JoAnn's was crazy last year. The line for fabric was at least 15 people long and the line to pay, twice that. I didn't get there until mid-morning though so that could have made a big difference. Also, we have a pretty small store. I'm excited though cause I think it is moving to the location Bed Bath and Beyond just moved out of. Even the higher ceilings there would make a difference, but the place is at least twice as big.

I enjoy going as well. I want to either find Jeff a fleece blanket but I doubt I will find one as I want either Goofy, Grumpy or his favorite college team Texas Aggies. I see that Walmart has some digital photo frames. Thinking of those for the Grandparents. Disney PJs at walmart. Disney plushes at walmart.

I have a 9 am app. on Friday. I have a slight cough, but am very phlemy (sp?) in the morning and slight pain in my ears, so I am going before it gets worse.
