I have a totally petty question....please give me honest opinions.

Without going into all the LONG and tedious details...there is an estrangement between us and Bill's oldest son. Bill is not willing to meet their demands to change the situation so we are in a state of limbo I'd say. Somehow I have a feeling that this has turned into me being the wicked stepmother....even though I have encouraged Bill and reached out to them myself...so now I am just pi$$ed to be honest,

ANYWAY.....today a Christmas card came in the mail. Addressed to Bill Najdowski & family. Not Mr. & Mrs.....not Bill & Kristine & family....

DO I HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE ANNOYED BY THAT? or am I thinking too much?

Eh, yes, it was probably intended to annoy you. Should you waste your energy actually BEING annoyed? Probably not.

You definitely have the right to be annoyed, but for your health and sanity (as well as any hope for future reconciliation), you should try to let it go.

What is everyones main entree for Christmas dinner. We are going to have ours on Christmas easy and I'm looking for ideas. TIA.

My dad ordered a honey baked ham. We'll make scalloped potatoes, broccoli gratin, and a jello salad to go along with it.

For Christmas Eve, we do soup in bread bowls.

Christmas morning, I'll do a couple of french toast bakes and my Sis and SIL's will do some other stuff.

Oh I would be interested to know as well! We are having everyone over to our house for Christmas this year & I am just not in the mood for turkey or ham. I would love to do prime rib, but I don't think that will be in the budget. So I would love some different ideas.

You could do a lasagna, that would be fairly simple.

Another idea would be to just have appetizers: meatballs, li'l smokies, bacon wrapped water chestnuts, etc. Then people could just munch and visit and no one has to do a lot of work. You could have everyone bring their favorite appetizer and set it out buffet style.

Kids 12 and under cruise free the first part of next year.

Ok, this is totally coming out of the blue, but Alan mentioned yesterday that he really wants to take the kids on a Disney cruise. We've never really seriously talked about it, but he's totally serious now.

Can you tell me where to find all the details about this deal? Or is it just for DVC members? Help me, please. I don't want Alan's fire to go out about this! Katie will be 12 in July, so now would be the best time for us to do this.

Chuck is warming up homemade Italian Sausage soup for us. He is cooking some tortellini to add to it. It smells so good. Yummy!!!!!

I cleaned the kitchen cabinets. There was a thick layer of greasy dust on the tops and fronts of them.

When we had cabinets that didn't reach all the way to the ceiling, I would take old newspapers and place those on top of the cabinets. Every 6 months, I would replace them. No more scrubbing away the greasy dust!

My thought is that these cats will not live forever. At some point in 10 or 15 years I will be able to have my glorious tree again. If they destroy all of my ornaments then in 10 or 15 years I won't have cats OR ornaments.

Things change drastically in 15 years, my friend. What is important now might not be then. Put up the tree. Enjoy it sans ornaments if you want, but enjoy having the tree up with your DH and DS.

I'm sitting here trying to superglue a Goofy ornament back together courtesy of Hurricane Matty. He and Alyssa both managed to break one as we were unpacking the Disney ornaments today. It's all part of the experience!

Shoot, I just broke off another part of Goofy as I was trying to secure the first broken piece! Serves me right for multi-tasking!

I couldn't quit thinking about prime rib, so I put an order in for one today, I will pick it up on the 24th(this way I don't have to freeze it). It was on sale for $6.99 a lb., I just couldn't resist.
