Amy in case you didn't get to facebook today. I told Dawn that you want more friends then your DH. She said to send her a friend request and she will add you.

Kristine, I'm sorry for your loss.

Your sister is very gracious! :)

Right now, I'm up by 20. Having taught for nine years, gives me an advantage, but I'm not sure how many former students I really want to be friends with. :rotfl:

Of course, the students that I taught when I was 23 are now 30-years-old, so they're not exactly kids anymore. ;)

Nothing like a Monday.

Mom has been using her arm too much and now it is swelling. Lymphedema is serious, but she apparently doesn't plan to worry about it. I bet she'll worry once it is permanent! I have a call in to her oncologist because she needs to understand that she can not fool around with this. She just got around to telling me about it - her arm has been swollen for THREE WEEKS! She is supposed to wrap it in an Ace bandage but she says that hurts, so she is just leaving it unwrapped. Perfect. Her Dr. needs to tell her she CAN NOT lift those toddlers when she comes down for Thanksgiving. 100% NO LIFTING. She ignores me when I tell her things, and my sister won't care if Mom can't use her arm anymore. She has SHOPPING to do, and that is FAR more important than someone losing the use of a limb. I need to e-mail Diva and tell her this is EXTREMELY serious and she needs to stay with Mom at all times to make sure she doesn't lift anything. I suspect sitting in the car for 9 hours (driving or not) won't be very beneficial, either.

DS has a 76 in Language Arts. He is missing about 4 assignments and he got a 75 on a group project that they did in class. That counted as a test grade and pretty much negated the 95 he got on the brochure. He had a math packet that we carried around all week and didn't start until Saturday. Turns out there were 2 problems he couldn't do because none of us understood them! One was about the ratio of a large triangle to a small one, and one was about something else that made no sense. The teacher said she gives the kids a week for each packet so they can ask for help. Well, DS can't ask for help when he doesn't start the stupid packet until the day before it is due! He has to watch the news twice a week and write 2 summaries. As of last night he hadn't bothered to do any, and those are due today. He hasn't even started his election essay because he claims he can't think of anything to say. It has to be 1-2 typed pages, due Friday. We already know he is getting points off for not having one of the papers that belongs in the notebook, so he better come up with a decent essay soon. I am so frustrated with him.
He loses things, he lies about homework, he doesn't take anything seriously, "I don't know" is his mantra for everything. Why is this grade so low? I don't know. What happened to this paper? I don't know. What is this assignment that has a zero on it? I don't know. What DOES he know? Does he actually attend these classes or not? :confused3 Yet he doesn't need a 504 on file because the ADD has no impact on his performance in the classroom. OK, so he is just a complete bonehead? Is that what we are saying here? Because if the ADD has nothing to do with it then we are in very big trouble!

Yes, I'm trying to by a bunch online, where you can get the same deal. Two that I want are out of stock. Also, they have to be 29.99 or higher to qualify for the discount.

I got my from the store directly. I got De Blob & Carnival Mini Golf for Daniel. I would have gotten more but most of the games were wiped out. The place was mobbed but at least I got 2.

I used that 15% coupon on the Lego Policestation which was $99.99.:scared:

Are they offering free shipping?

My mom bought us a Wii for Christmas! :cheer2:

I have no clue what Wi games DS might want. He thought he wanted Wii Music but now he is thinking maybe not.

He wants to get a Wii Fit but I haven't found one. I guess I need to get serious about Wii Tracker.

I am on lunch:thumbsup2

I don't know is a very standard response once they hit middle school Elizabeth. I am sorry you are having a not so good day.

OH MY GOSH!! I just typed out a huge post and my pickle landed on the keyboard and made it disappear.:headache:

I told the staff today....everybody but the tattler was surprised. I held it together until Kathy came to talk to me afterward. She's the only one who really understands.

I was going to get Wii Music too but it looks likes something they would get bored with after a while.

Between my mother and my child I feel like I am running in circles. "I don't know" just doesn't cut it.
Evil pickle. I don't eat pickles. Now I have one more reason not to eat them! :rotfl2:
I hope your last days at the job go OK! :wizard:

The reviews I read said it is better for younger kids, maybe up to age 8. Uncle1 had said he read some so-so reviews on it, so I think we will wait. Maybe I will let him rent it and see if he likes it well enough to own it. Not that he has time to play Wii if he actually bothers to do his homework!

I wish I had something to plan. :rolleyes1

I can't do ADRs until 2/8/09, so I guess I will turn them in to IPO on 2/1.

I can't decide anything else for DS's birthday until we decide on a date. I took Bernadette's advice and looked at renting a car (van) so I can take all the boys in one vehicle, but the cheapest one I could find was $95! Since I won't be able to turn it in until around 2 PM they are charging me for 2 full days. We would be better off to wait until the following weekend when DH can help. The difference in price for the hotel the next weekend is less than $95. There are a ton of rental car deals but they are only good through the end of December. Ugh.

Deb - where's this from?

 snapfish

I saw wii fit at TRU over the weekend. We don't have one nearby or I would offer to pick one up for you.

More deals will be out on rentals, it is just a bit early now. Some full size SUVs will seat up to 8 too.

Colby loved his birthday wishes. He is playing with Nick Nick at the moment so it was hard to even get his attention. He loves his big brothers  and they love him too.

I stopped at ToysRUs on the way home and got the Wii games that I wanted. All 6 of them. :scared: Well, one is for my parents' for Christmas and the other is for my parents to give to Nicholas for his bday.

I looked at the Wii Sing in the store, but I need to read the reviews before buying it. You need the balance board for the drums, Elizabeth.
