DDA Chapter 14

Airtran has round trip airfare for $214 in January. I think I deleted that $15 coupon, but it would still be in my deleted folder. That means 2 of us could fly round trip for less than the cost of one night at Great Wolf Lodge. BUT I would have to take a bunch of days off AND DS would miss 2 days of school AND DH wouldn't be able to go because the days fall weird AND the trip still wouldn't cover 7 nights. :headache:

I really need to stop looking at this. I have errands to run.

Bob and I are trying it next month, if you all want to wait to hear what we think. But I believe others on here have already done it!

Yes, I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Well, the last part is a given, Theresa! We will all be together and living close to WDW! :thumbsup2 ;)

I meant in real life.....actually I'd just love to live on an even keel and out of this pit.

Theresa-I sometimes hate these quick trisp to Colorado..I MAY be coming out for a long (2 week :)) visit this summer..if i do that, we HAVE to get together--its been too long!

if you find yourself bored (:lmao: ) this weekend give me a holler.

I know! We had started looking into mansions and then someone (I think it was Deb) found an entire row of townhouses on the market.

The only problem with the townhouses is that we would all still need to maintain our own homes. I am looking for one of you to cook and clean while I am selling wine.....

:rotfl2:

Good luck :lmao:

We have been impressed with the breakfast there. We haven't tried the dinner. Definitely something to consider! :thumbsup2

Whatever you do, don't tell her "FINE! Daddy will quit his job and we'll stay here! Is that what you want?" That's what my parents said to me when I said I didn't want to move before my sophomore year. Let her know that you will miss your friends, your job at TDS, etc. Also tell her the things you are looking forward to in NC.

The Tusker House would work for us. Either breakfast or dinner!

im in :)

Well my cousin is working today so i am spending the day with my uncle! i dont get to see him often (obviously!) so im excited. We are going to see my new baby cousin :) and meeting my aunt for lunch. I am not sure what we are doing tnoight when my cousin gets home but im excited. I just am glad I spent the money to get out here--i needed to get away!

Sounds like a fun day, enjoy!

That is all I have so far as well :rolleyes1

I am glad I'm not the only slacker!!

I just looked at the school lunch menu for today. They are serving Catfish Strips. I wonder if my kids will try them. I bet Nicholas will, as he loves catfish.

Wow, I would love for our school to offer something like that.

I am sure that she will!

I don't know if I could make apple crisp for just one. I like to go back for seconds!

I also just started a blog. Like I need anything else to do! After reading Jennifers and several others, I thought this would be a good way for family to keep up with our goings on!
I linked it in my siggy.

Great blog, Tom, and I love the music!

Morning everyone-
Its 7 here, but 9 at home so im wide awake. I cant believe I forgot to tell you this yesterday, but i was drained---my family, yet again, needs some prayers.

My mom was supposed to pick me up after work to take me to the airport and instead my uncle was there. My mom got a call that grandma was being taken to the hospital. (this is my grandma that was married to my grandpa that died last november). They think she may be having heart failure or soemthing so they wanted to do tests.

I asked if i should stay home and they said no so i came here...they are still running tests and she stayed at the hospital over night. Im just really scared being so far away. I know this is a rough month for her because this time last year, grandpa was still alive, but getting worse. Plus, she is at the same hospital grandpa was. So please keep grandma in your prayers

I'll add your grandmother to my prayers, Jen.

I hope you have a great trip!

So after discussing & discussing the move with the kids since mid summer, Katie is starting to give me grief about it. I think thats because she has gotten settled into her middle school. She has been (as Kristine likes to say) a real pill.:headache:

 for Katie! for you! It won't always be easy, but I know that you will have a great family adventure with this move.

I'll cook for you, but one look around this place tells me that I'm not so good with the cleaning. :rotfl:

No one will cook. Elin's wine business and Robyn and Amy's cake business is going to floruish SO WELL that we can pay for hired help. For cooking, cleaning and the yard work.

Elin - I'll cook and clean for you and anyone else to earn my spot on the row.

Jen - Hope you enjoy your trip!

Tammi - Hope the kids enjoy lunch. Terra would love to find catfish on the menu.

Theresa - Lots of big old

So, anyone have any ideas on how I could afford to take advantage of the 3nights at the Swolphin I just won on another list? The tricky part...the dates are locked in at Nov 11-14. Yup, next week. I can totally picture the part of how to handle being down there without spending a lot - maybe the Christmas party, DTD, Ft Wilderness, resorts, etc. It's the get there part that I just wouldn't be able to do cheaply enough I'm sure. Oh well, the dream was nice. Instead, I guess I'm going to hope that the big news at 5pm is so good that I can figure out a way to swing a birthday trip for me in May.

Yesterday at the staff meeting our director (who took over Two's Time when I refused to do twice the work for the same pay) ever so sweetly said to me, "Beth, I really want to thank you. I am having the time of my life teaching that program. It is so fun!" I don't know if she really is that stupid/has such poor people skills or if it was an intentional slam. Either way, I resisted any not-so-nice urges I had.

Jennifer - I'm mad at you.

There is NO WAY that 15 seconds of video satisfies your faithful blog readers . :teeth:

:rotfl: Love the giggles!!!

Oh and Elin, I have to tell you that I brought that Menage a Trois red wine to our Girl Scout pow wow, and everyone that tried it loved it!!

OH! I am glad you all liked it! :goodvibes

We stayed in one on our way home from WDW in January. Somewhere in NC and it was extremely nice. It was currently being remodeled and we had a new room that was great.

That is good to know. I have changed one of our reservations to a HI Express partly because it is $12 less a night!
