Have a great trip!!!!!

I used to have a Christmas party every year (before kids) and I used to make these stuffed rolls. I bought frozen bread dough. I fried onions, bacon, and bell peppers. I broke up the thawed bread dough, made a circle, put a bit of the fried mix on it, folded up the sides of the circle making a roll then baked. They were really good. You can make ahead and freeze then heat up the day of the party. I think I have to make these again this year as we're doing Christmas here for the first time ever.

Did you book anything tonight?

I think this deal worked well for me. I had 6 nights booked in Jan at AKL CL with AAA room only discount. I changed that to 7 nights GV Poly with about $450 worth of tickets & $200 gift card for less than $100 more. Lizzy needs a ticket. I'll save mine for Jan 2010.

I also booked 7 nights AKL CL for 5/2 to 5/9 with 7 day tickets. I will need a new ticket for that trip and Joe will need a ticket too. So I got an extra night, regular season not value, and almost $450 worth of tickets for less than $300 more. When I called last week they said I couldn't book AKL CL with AAA so this was a great deal for me!!!!

Janet-let me know if I should add you to the room-you'd have to buy a 7 day ticket-about $233.

I'm glad that you were able to benefit from it. I can see how it would work well since you were already planning a trip. I guess that not using our DVC points and paying out of pocket makes it seems like a worse deal than it really is. Good for you.

Anne Marie where will you be receiving Christmas cards this year? I guess I'm not sure when you are actually moving.

We just saw the new WDW commercial on TV. Chris saw it on CBS. The buy4 get 3 free deal as well as the $200 gift card. That didn't take long.

so I am thinking of doing finger foods for Jeff's Birthday party and having the party from 1pm to 5pm that way the out of town guest have the option of staying over night or going back home.

What would you like to see? needing ideas

What does he like? Sweet or savory? I love the meatballs with the grape jelly/chili sauce. Veggie trays are easy. Any kind of cookie or brownies would be good. Cream puffs and mini eclairs from Costco. Buffalo wings. These are just off the top of my head.

Mac I posted the recipe, it is very easy & good!

Bernadette yea for your bookings & for getting your flight changed! I replied to your pm :)

so what do you all think of the quick service meal plan vs the dinning plan?
For myself and 2 kids, I can't beat the dining plan. Plus, when I'm on vacation I want to eat nice meals, not fast food the entire week.

Hi everyone,

I hope you've had a good last couple of weeks, and great Halloweens! I'll have to go back to look for pics of cute DDA kiddos, as I'm sure there are plenty. :goodvibes

We actually took a whirlwind trip to DL last Thurs-Sun. Jonathan had a business meeting out in Anaheim all last week, and I flew out Thursday to join him. While overall we had a good time (a day in any Disney park beats a day at home!), I must say we were a bit underwhelmed with DL this time around, which was so disappointing. :guilty: There just seemed to be really unhappy, almost downright rude CMs everywhere we went, which just left a bad taste in our mouth. The parks were all decked out for Halloween, though, and we still managed to enjoy things, for the most part (other than that horrendous football game UT played Sat. night!). We got to ride TSMM for the first time, and oh my gosh, that ride is amazing!!!! I think it might be our new favorite. The CA queue for TSMM is nothing special, so we're looking forward to seeing it in FL. We only got to ride 3 times over the 4 days, as amazingly, it was not a FP attraction, and lines were long unless you rode 1st thing when the park opened.

We also met Tink! But Pixie Hollow in DL is pretty much all outdoors, and is not so fun in the rain.

Needless to say, we were homesick for WDW, and it made us really anxious for our Dec. trip. They did, however, have these AMAZING pumpkin muffins at the bakeries in DL, which we consumed every morning. I bought an AP for the hotel and other discounts, and have since found the recipe for these amazing creations on the DL AP website! I'll pull it off of there and post it here, as these were some of the best pumpkin products I've ever tasted. I'm thinking they would be a perfect Thanksgiving breakfast. :goodvibes

How is everyone else doing? I see there is interest in this awesome colossal deal Disney is supposed to be releasing in a few mere hours. ;)
Lindsay! It's good to see you! I miss you around here.

Geez, you guys were very chatty today.

We have already rented points for our May trip and have AP's so the great deal won't do us any good.

We leave tomorrow and are planning on driving the truck that we have made maybe four payments on, DH came home this morning and said the service engine light came on. :headache:

Luckily he took tonight off so he took it to the dealer, turns out the thermastat had gone bad, they fixed it with no charge. I'm gonna consider it good luck that it happened, we could have been on the road.

Work was FUN today, our computer system crashed, causing my schedule to be totally thrown off. Good news is we leave TOMORROW! :cool1: :cool1:

Oh, and we have shirts :thumbsup2

Have a great time!

I'm also surprised the "big deal" wasn't better. I was just reading about the stock market dive today, and they said this was info was released after the market closed. I wonder what the news will do to the market tomorrow...

"Walt Disney (DIS, news, msgs) reported a 13% profit decline for fiscal-fourth quarter, missing Wall Street estimates. Shares of the Dow component were down 6.4% in after-hours trading to $21.35 after falling 5.9% to $22.81 in regular trading.

Disney said a weak advertising climate had hurt the profits at its cable and broadcast networks. Its U.S. theme parks and resorts suffered under higher labor and fuel costs."

Our house is so hot we are considering opening a tropical flower shop in the livingroom or opening the basement as a sauna :rotfl: :rotfl: Seriously it is 79 degrees in here and the heat has not come on. The water continually circulating through the basement is keeping things warm. It will be nice when the temperatures drop again. Right now we are in the 50s. I will say that the floors are toasty warm :thumbsup2 We've had 2 windows open all night. All this heat and only have to fill the furnace once a day.

I guess I'm talking to myself tonight. Anyhoo...Hunter emailed his wish list to Santa. Then he went and made himself a paper chain to count down the days until Christmas. Colby hasn't asked to email Santa yet, but he did start to make a paper chain all by himself. He was an hour into it when we sent him to bed. He wasn't done yet. Gotta give him credit for sticking with it :thumbsup2

Cool....I mean HOT!!!:lmao:

It will be great when it gets cold this winter. Warm floors sound really nice!

Someone stop me! I am online with Disney pricing out a week in April (yes Easter!!!) with the new deal. Poly Garden View with dining & one day tickets would be $3555...we have AP's so I would be saving on tickets if we did this...not sure if I should book & cancel August.

Heres my choice WWYD??

Poly 7 nights
B4G3
No tickets, we have AP's
Spring Break! 4/4-4/11
With dining
$3555

ASmusic suites 12 nights
Need to buy tickets (so assume $1200 more)
first week of August 8/9-8/21 (less crowds?)
dining another $1500
Room only with AAA discount $2100 so the whole thing would be
$4800

What to do!!!! WWYD????????

What was in the email?

Joe & Emma want all stuff that isn't available (like does NOT exist) but Santa can do anything.:scared:

Joe still wants something to hook his Nintendo up to a TV (I haven't told him about Wii).

Emma wants all sorts of specific stuffed animals and a Air Buddies game for her Nintendo-no such thing. She has added American Girl Doll Kaya to her list along with her dog & animals. I think the tepee with fire (battery lighted) and horse will be for her birthday.

Lizzy wants American Girl Doll stuff that does exist so that is easy!

Anne Marie do what will make you happy, but I will be sad not to see you in August :sad1:

Good luck with your decision!

Deb I would love to have warm floors in the winter!

do you add a some other liquid other than the cream of whatever??
(I knew I was forgetting a question yesterday)

No, we do not. It is just juicy enough for us without adding any water. We do fry the meat briefly to brown the outside. I do know others that have added a little bit of water if it gets too dry but it is perfect for us without it.

I read it 3 times....I still thought I was missing something :confused3 not saying it isn't a good deal for someone...but man...with all the talk I expected GREAT
It is GREAT! For a person that doesn't know any better. :sad2:

I think the book a cruise take a 2nd for $99 pp was a better deal...no?
After reading that promo closer, I don't think that is so GREAT either. The $99 cruise is only a 3 nighter. So yes, you are saving, but not THAT much.

Colby and I started working on our exchange ornaments today. I think they will be pretty cute. Colby had me by a kit that makes the foamy snowmen. He was so cute working on them today. He was so proud of them. I hope his exchange person enjoys them ;)
I'm sure whomever it is will LOVE them.
