I'm still fighting with snapfish. My photos are now coming up as big red boxes :confused3 I'm not sure that a free book is worth the hassle

Good Morning All!!

I am wearing my new dress for a new day....I am turning in my resignation today, my last day WILL be the day before Thanksgiving. We are going to celebrate at Cheeburger Cheeburger for supper.

I didn't sleep very well last night....I am nervous as I have never stepped out on faith quite like this before.

I hope it went well:wizard:

So I handed in my resignation and didn't cry until I got out of the office and it wasn't because I am going to miss the office it was because I was so frustrated.:headache: Richard kept telling me it was all about yesterday and that he wouldn't do anything about it until Monday....to take the weekend to think about it. He wasn't hearing that it wasn't yesterday that this was a long time coming. I don't think he heard me when he said it was just about working somewhere else and I said no, it's wanting to work someplace where my talents are utilized and respected.

I am back and I have a new nephew. Baby Buzz, no official name as of yet, was born at 9:59am and weighed in at 7lbs 1.6ozs. He was 19inches long. When I left the hospital, he was having a bit of trouble breathing. It wasn't nothing major as his color looked good but he was slow in response. Any additional good thoughts you have I'd appreciate just a bit more. Thanks.

I will upload pics sometime tonight, but I need to get some sleep. 20 minutes since waking up yesterday just doesn't cut it.

And guess what I found out this morning...that meeting we had to be at last night ended up being for nothing. Turns out that based on our meeting place we are in a different unit. So now we have to meet with the new manager and go from there, but we our official and we have a troop #!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

congrats on the nephew.

hooray for being an official troop

I then went to the car and called back a job lead....more than 200 people had applied for this job and I have one of the few interview spots. :cool1: I told her that I just gave my resignation and that I needed to give my current employer the 40 hours a week for the next 2 weeks. She scheduled me in for a 5:30 interview.

That's great! Tons of good wishes for you! :wizard:

Tammi-DH doesn't want me to take all 3 kids because he doesn't think I can handle them.:headache: He couldn't get himself to Orlando without me so he possibly believe that I could do it. He thinks I'll loose them but the only time we lost a child anywhere was when Emma pulled away from him at Disney and he let her go (during the DDA meet). He also says he couldn't take the worry of all of us in a plane without him. I guess he'd be OK loosing me & 1 kids but not all of us. Maybe he'll come around when they are a bit older. Or maybe he really will want to go back if we take a break. I'm happy to take them 1 at a time for a couple of years.

Your school photos look good. Joe & Emma's were Lifetouch and I hate them. I really ought to do a retake but I need to get Emma's hair cut (that was the problem in her first photos) and I just haven't had time. I'm not sure when retake day is/was? Lizzy's are done by a local studio and her's are pretty good.

Sorry about today's canceled field trip. Good luck with your schedule next week to catch Alyssa's concert.

Loved the pictures of your Dad in the parade.

Beth-loved your TR photos and I think your school photos look good too! Thanks for the positive review of the lens pen. I think that is on my serious list. I did check the specs for my tripod and it will hold my camera. I wasn't crazy about the head when I used it but I think I've got to give it another try as it gets very good reviews on B&H Photo. I "only" paid $59 for it and it is nice and compact. I'm thinking I need to try to take photos of Wishes from the Poly beach. I think I might just try my current SLR Gorilla Pod before buying an SLR Zoom one. I mostly used it on my Sony as an extra hand hold.

Elizabeth-sorry about the bully problem! Could you rent a minivan for the Great Wolf trip so you'd only need 1 car?

Heidi-I know others have answered about the dress code at California Grill but I too can say it is quite casual. I think if there is one it is no swim suits, no torn clothes and no cut offs. I have worn chino pants and a blouse the 2 times I went. I really enjoy it there!

Deb-Good luck with the PO job!!!!
Nick's conference sounds pretty foolish. Congrats to him for the great grades!

Theresa-how brave of you to give notice today. It seems like the thing you just had to do. I hope you find something perfect quickly!!!!:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Robyn-congrats on Buzz's arrival. What a cutie!
Hope you get the Girl Scout thing settle soon! I went to help Lizzy's troop make cookies for a charity event today. Her leader said I would be getting a call soon about myEmma's troop forming finally.

Goodluck with yourEmma's party!

Karen-great photos! Did you have fun at the fest?

Marci-on the MVMCP for your friend-I've been twice. Once was in 2001 so there were NO crowds after 9/11 and we LOVED it!!!! The next time was in 2006 and it was the last Friday it was offered. It was PACKED. You could not move in Fantasy Land between Small World and Peter Pan. It was crazy. I would say wait to buy the tickets in Orlando. If the event is sold out I wouldn't want to go. You can see wait to see what the weather will be like (I wouldn't go in the rain) and don't go on a weekend night. There are lots of things they can't see other times. The parade can't be seen during the day until right at Christmas. The shows are good. The snow on Main St is magical. You can however see the castle lit up any night.

Elin-goodluck to Kathrin:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Mac-glad you found a job to hold you over til something perfect comes along!:wizard:

Good luck with your interview!

Good luck with the bullying issue, Elizabeth.

Nicholas had an issue a few months ago. But this was third grade bullying. He said a boy was calling him Pretty Boy. He told his teacher about it, who told Nicholas to write it down on a piece of paper and sit on it. There. Now it's behind him. :rotfl: Hakuna Matata. He did talk to the offending child as well, and so far no other problems. So now I use that theory at home when my 2 get into it. Once I say sit on it, I get a  and all is usually forgotten.

Good golly, is he an idiot? Oh, yeah... he is! I am sorry he "didn't get it" but so very glad you will be on your way to something better for you professionally as well as personally, Theresa. You deserve so much more.

Elizabeth - I hope you are able to get to the principal easily to explain your concerns and fears. That is a serious incident and I think you should have been notified. Middle school sucks and this is just one of the reasons. :(

:wave2: Debbie and Elin.

Where are you off to today, Debbie?
