Ok, so how quickly can one get salmonella? And how much of the germs does one need to ingest? While cooking dinner I mistakenly licked off a fork that I had stuck into raw chicken. Now I have intestinal cramps and my stomach feels off. I don't know if it's a coincidence or what.

technically if the chicken was not bad, you should be okay. Usually it does hit very fast if the chicken was already bad.

I got it about 14 hours later by touching the package of bad chicken, holding an ink pen, then placing the pen in my mouth. At the time, I did not know the chicken was bad.

I ended up in the hospital for 5 days. Ask me any other questions if you need to

Robyn - care to explain where "Buzz" comes from? Or did I miss something?

It is Alyssa's nickname for him and has been since they found out he was a boy. When I left this morning she hadn't officially decided.

His official name is Brendan Andrew P**l. She gave him her last name and his middle name is my dad's middle name.

I've never used snapfish before. Does it take forever for a photo to show up after you drag it into the book?

I've never used it before either. I know that Kodak Gallery can be quite slow sometimes. Maybe I should have started tonight. Oh well...I'll just plan the whole day tomorrow.

I still haven't decided which book to do, but I'm thinking it will be our "out West" trip.

That was why Hal got a My Space account. He wanted to check the accounts his students had. He had gotten the idea from our oldest son who is also a teacher.

With college admissions looming over us, I've told Matthew repeatedly to make sure that there is nothing questionable on his accounts. I haven't actually looked at them, though. I guess I probably should.

I've been on there a lot the past few days. I always order my parents the custom calendar for Christmas, and I put pictures of the kids from the past year on it. It's almost done, so now I guess I'll have another project to work on.

I did calendars for my parents and in-laws one year from Kodak Gallery. I didn't really get much feedback on those. Maybe I'll do one for my parents again, though.

I have a song stuck in my head, but I don't know what it is. I don't seem to have enough of the lyrics for a Google search to work. I can't carry a tune, so humming it to dh wouldn't work even if he might know what it is. It's driving me nuts!

I'm trying to get a few things done. I am so unmotivated. I have also gained a ton of weight so nothing fits. I can't seem to control my eating even though I'm conscious of it It is so frustrating

That describes me too. I do well for a year or two, then struggle for months, then do well for maybe 2 months, and then eat everything in sight for a few months.

DS does have band practice, but DH is almost finished at work so he can get DS at 5:15 PM. Good! Dodged that bullet!

Now I just have to whisk Princess out of ballet at light speed and get her home so I can turn around and go back past ballet on my way to the other family's house. I typically don't agree to work for anyone other than my bosses during the week, but she caught me when I wasn't really thinking.

DH is off Sunday, so DS does NOT have to spend the night at work with me on Saturday. That's a good thing. DH will pick him up from me on Saturday afternoon and that will be that.

I told DH about DS's birthday being early release so he can think about how he wants to approach it (ask for the days off, try to get vacation, or just book a different night for Great Wolf).

Elizabeth -- I'd be happy to taxi some kids to GWL. I bet your DH would be finished by the time you want to leave on Saturday. You can stay all day until I think 10 p.m. or so.

I am headed to bed and probably won't get much of a chance to be on the computer until Saturday or so. My house looks like a train wreck and Emma's party is at 6:30 tomorrow night.

My dermatologist tortured me for a while today, but I had everything snipped/frozen off that needs to be for a while. The biopsy on the growth on my side should be back in a week or two, but I'm not worried about it.

Conferences for both kids went excellent today. I mentioned that Andrew's homework had gotten out of hand again, and the teachers seemed to understand. We'll see. I am so thankful for that school!

So I got my airfare booked for December!!!

I am flying Southwest for both legs of the trip. I got $99 on the way down to mco. Thanks to Chanon for a SWA credit I got $119 coming back home.

Just need to get my MVMCP tickets & then I am all set.

Two years ago Chuck and I had to buy heavy coats while we were at Disney because we just had windbreakers and sweatshirts. It was freezing! Last year, we were in short sleeves. This was at MVMCP.

So. I called the other mom this afternoon right before I took Princess to ballet. Turns out she was calling me about a bullying issue, but not the way I thought! Her son is being bullied and he told her DS is being bullied by the same kid! DS has never mentioned the kid that I can recall.

The mom is very worried that word will get around that her son tattled on the bully and he will retaliate, and that is a 100% valid concern because that's how it usually works.

I called DH and told him what she said. He was going to get DS from band, and I told him to ask DS if he knew this kid and if the kid ever bothered him. I accidentally left my phone in the car when we got to ballet.

After ballet I called DH. Yes, DS knows this kid, and yes, the kid cornered him in the locker room and intimidated him but didn't touch him. Unfortunately DH blabbed the whole story to DS about the other kid (his friend, whose mom doesn't want the story to get around). At what point did DH become a complete IDIOT? I told him to be DISCREET about it and NOT TELL DS anything. Just ASK him if he knew this kid and if the kid bullied him - no more, no less. DS sucks at keeping secrets, so he was NOT supposed to know the details.

So now DH is mad because I yelled at him for telling DS too much.

DS says he wants me to talk to the principal. DS said he has 3 witnesses who were in the locker room. He also said he told a girl in his science class what happened, and she reported it to a counselor. Supposedly the counselor called the bully in for a chat, but I have no way to verify that.
DS mentioned the other night that he no longer likes the girl he did have a crush on - I have a feeling he likes this girl now. He spent time talking with her at that Halloween party, and now he is sharing things with her that he never told me. Good thing I like her parents, and she seems like a very sweet girl. She also has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She goes to the same studio where Sister and Brother used to go.

So I will be calling the principal tomorrow and telling him I was just informed of this incident. I also want him to tell me why there are no faculty members in the locker room while the boys are changing. That is bullying waiting to happen. DS said he yelled for the coach and that got the bully to back down, but the coach didn't hear him and was nowhere to be found when the bell rang for them to go to the next class.

I told DS if the kid touches him I will file charges through the police, to hell with the school. My concern is that if the kid touches him DS will sustain serious injury.

DS was already in bed when I got home, but I will talk to him more about it in the morning.

Marci - Thanks for your offer to help me shuttle kids for DS's birthday. So far DH and I have only managed to talk about the bullying issue, but I will let you know what we decide when we actually decide something!

I'm glad that your day turned out well in the end. Hopefully there wasn't too much pain involved
