At home I wear a baseball cap ALL the time. At WDW it is such a pain in the tushy to take it off every time I get on a ride I gave up after the first day. I usually just stick my sunglasses up there.

I FINALLY got my Dream Reward Dollars for our DVC purchase! Those will come in handy.

it's definitely not the cold but the light....

lite boxes are the most effective....but not cheap. my vote is for this one....goLITEBlu..........it seems to have very positive reviews....but there is some controversy surrounding these lights

I was going to suggest the same thing. I don't think it is the cold that is bothering me as I get older. It is the lack of bright sunshine. So I am also thinking about buying one. OK, Gadget Guru Extraordinaire... what have you found out there in the marketplace?? I am all ears...

It has cooled off here, but not that much! I think we are in the 60's. The overnight low for Friday into Saturday is in the 50's so I will be chilly at Race for the Cure.

I saw the band director the other night and asked him about Homecoming. He said the plan is to keep the kids from early release at 1 PM all the way until the parade at 5:15 PM. They are combining with the high school band so they will practice for awhile and then walk to the high school about 4 PM, they will eat, then they will line up for the parade about 4:45 PM. He said they will not be allowed to run around, they will be IN the band room. OK, works for me. I am not sure how we will get DS back after the parade, but we'll figure something out!

I rarely wear hats. If it's really cold I will put one on, but other than that I rarely wear one. I did buy a sun visor for the cruise, only time will tell if I actually wear it

I love my hats! I buy solid white ones at Target every year, and I have 2 WDW hats. I bought a bunch of Adidas baseball caps at Marshall's but they fit funny so I don't wear them. I have one from Starbucks and one from an online healthcare company that I like, too. I am picky about baseball caps because the tops of my ears get really sore if the hat touches them, so the hats have to be cut a certain way.

This isn't a great time of year for baseball caps. Definitely look in the Spring! (Or make somebody bring one back from WDW for you. )

FOUR billing cycles. I was about to give up on it, even though our guide said it would be on this statement.

The top of my head sunburns, so I don't have any visors.

Thanks! I have done some studying in the past and think it is worth the investment. We talk about moving to Florida because of WDW but mainly because of the "weather." I think it might possibly be the sun we are both seeking. In the same breath we talk about how much we would miss this area if we left, so the $300 +/- investment might save us money in the long run. Or that is my rationalization anyway.

I was hoping for baseball caps from Welcome Home Wednesday, but we got the drawstring bags instead. Which would be MUCH BETTER if the bottom of the bag wasn't mesh. I guess you are supposed to use them at the beach, and the mesh allows the sand to shake out? DS wanted to put his pin lanyard in his bag but the pins got so tangled in that stupid mesh he gave up. I also think it would just take getting the bag caught on something once to rip that entire mesh panel wide open.

The weather isn't looking too bad. Possible showers everyday, but we've learned to expect that anytime we head south. The temps should be in the 80s everyday which is a huge improvement from the 40s and 50s here.

Good Morning all!!

You are on a posting roll and it has been fun catching up in real time.

The Colorado Bandmasters take 20 4A bands out of regionals and on to the next step. LHS ended up 18th (a tempered dance because the show is so much better than it's being scored). The bad thing is the 18th band gets to perform first and as happens scores tend to be lower at the beginning of the day.
