I uploaded the two photos I have from that morning in a larger format. Sorry... it is the best I can do unless I find another photo I have somehow missed, Jennifer.

That looks really neat, versus flowers or plants. Do they have lights that move in that Mickey head?

I am not sure, Becky, because we weren't there at night. Tia or Jennifer or Kristine might have a better answer to that. It does look like strip lights in there, doesn't it?

Apparently the link to one of my TR photos was broken, so I fixed it. Since I don't want you all to have to go back and look for it, here is the sparkling vodka I had at the French Wine Kiosk:

It was absolutely scrumptious and the prettiest shade of pink!

For you doubting Thomases... that wine lanyard can be a lifesaver at a tasting. You run out of ways to hold the wine glass and eat and walk around and pay for things with just two hands! It was well worth the cost of $7. :teeth:

I think that is a great idea. :goodvibes

I think that is the divider to separate the separate sections. At Disneyland they have strands of Christmas style or tube lights in their Mickey head and around it that move. They totally go on and move across the shape, twinkling for a period. To my knowledge they do not do this at WDW.

Here are some pics. I had Stephen take them. I should have told him to take a video.

There is a Wine Festival down along the river here in Fredericksburg this weekend, so you know where Kristin and I will be. ;)

I am with Tammi, though... I have to get the lawn mowed at some point in the next couple of days!
You are so lucky that your 20 something daughter still has time to do things like this with Mom. I hope I have the same kind of relationship with my childrent when they are older.

I got the back yard done. Tomorrow afternoon I will worry about the front.

So it is official!! I am going to see a dallas cowboys game!! Unfortunately, its such a quick trip, i wont be able to meet up with our DDAers in the area, but I can defintely say this will nto be my last trip to dallas!
That's great, Jen! Who do they play?

Elin - your trip sounds like it was so relaxing! Some year I'm going to stow away with you. You really know how to do the F&WF right! I can't manage that with kids in tow!

Today was crazy. After I got the lawn cut we went to Walmart for gifts (toys). While there the kids picked out their halloween costumes. Nicholas is Darth Vadar and Alyssa is a witch. I told her she doesn't need a costume to be a witch. I got the hairy eyeball for saying that. Came home and had a quick lunch. Then it was off to drop Alyssa at a birthday party. Nicholas' dad was SUPPOSED to come and get Nicholas, feed him dinner and then get him off to his football game, but evidently his truck broke down, or so he said. Sooooooo........Nicholas stayed with me. While Alyssa was at her party we got the van washed and stubbled upon a Fall Festival at a church nearby. We spotted the moonbounce from the roadway. Since we had some time to kill we stopped. They had horse rides, games, moonbounces, etc. Best of all EVERYTHING was free. Then we picked up Alyssa, rushed home to change and get stuff ready to head to the game. I swung through Burger King's drivethrough. The drive was not quite an hour to get to the game. I was afraid that it was going to be rather chilly but the temp was quite pleasant. The team that they played was really good. And the kids were big. We lost, 28-0.

Tomorrow both kids have a birthday party to go to, at the exact same times. Luckily I was able to get Nicholas a ride with another parent, so I can take Alyssa to her party. Her's is at the bowling alley, and Nicholas' is at Pizza Hut. It's a halloween bday party, so he gets to wear his new costume.

When are we supposed to mail our ornaments by?

I thought she said Thanksgiving but those of us with December trips get a reprieve.

Oh, Deb!!!

I'm making your crock pot chocolate pudding cake today. Can I tell you just how wonderful my house smells right now!!! I can't wait to dig into it! It's such a gray, gloomy day that we needed a bit of goodness to lift our spirits.

Thanks for the recipe!

I hope you all like it :thumbsup2

I'm not sure what to say lol

Glad you had fun today though!

That was my thoughts until I read why she needed it.

I'm hoping to find some ornaments in the bahamas, not necessarily for the exchange, but for my own tree. Maybe Vero Beach too? :confused3

I worked the front desk tonight. It was pretty busy with a 45 minute to an hour wait. Of course I was hourly tonight  Oh well, it's still more money towards our trip.

I woke up still feeling yucky but there were 125+ people needing to be fed...so off we went. One thing we can count on competition days....it's going to be windy. I almost wish that somebody had taken a picture of Jim and I holding 6 ez-ups trying to make sure they didn't fly away.:rotfl:

The kids didn't make it into finals (but neither did a few other bands that are used to making it in). :confused3

I am still struggling to breathe so I think I am going to find a movie and snuggle with my baby.

Tammi - Sorry your XH is a bonehead, and sorry Nicholas' team lost today! Darth Vader sounds like a good costume! Kids around here would suffocate if they wore that. It was 93 degrees yesterday! When we were sitting in the carpool line waiting for DS yesterday I told DH it was hotter than it had been any other day. It's supposed to rain Monday but I don't know if things will cool off.

I worked a little bit on de-cluttering today. I went through my shoes, purses, and bed linens. I also weeded out the old phones and film cameras. Landline phones to Goodwill, still have to sort out what to do with the old cell phones. I *think* the library has a collection box for cell phones. First I need to make sure the memory is erased out of them. DH took the vaporizers to Goodwill.

My mom gave us an electric blanket a long time ago for Christmas. It is nice - dual controls, all that sort of thing. The problem is the cats have been on it and it is LOADED with cat hair. I washed it and it is still full of fur. The material is not something the fur will wash out of. I would have to pick the fur off one hair at a time with tweezers. NOT worth it! So now I can't decide what to do with it. We haven't used it on the bed for at least 5 years. I might just keep it to use on the couch in the winter. I would feel weird donating something covered in cat hair, and it is too good to throw away.
