Toasting again :)

So i am bouncing off the walls with excitement!!!!! I am most likely going to Dallas next month for my FIRST EVER professional football game!! I found someone that had tickets available for a game and called my dad and asked if he wanted to go....im waiting for him to come home now and well look at prices..but my grandma just called and said she will help me pay for my birthday present!! im so excited!!

That's great, Jen!! Pro football games are SO much fun! You'll have a blast... I hope it works out! :yay:

Elin, Stephanie and I rode Mission Space---the lesser intense side and really liked it. No way I would do the more intense side. :scared1:

Oh, Deb!!!

I'm making your crock pot chocolate pudding cake today. Can I tell you just how wonderful my house smells right now!!! I can't wait to dig into it! It's such a gray, gloomy day that we needed a bit of goodness to lift our spirits.

Thanks for the recipe!

Elin hope you have a good time at the wine festival!

Jen awesome on getting the chance to go to Dallas & watch a football game!

Deb sounds like bowling went well this morning & you seem to be doing very good with the preparations for the cruise :thumbsup2

Jennifer I am glad Kyle is home on the weekends now :goodvibes

Glynis hope everyone stays warm while hunting!

Thanks, apparently he does. Or else he's ignoring his illness. He and Jacob left to go elk hunting at 5:00 this morning. I hope they are warm enough. It's snowing in the mountains where they are hunting!

 YUCK! But I do hope Alan and Jacob have fun!

Elin, I am so excited because the weekend before Thanksgiving weekend there will be a Food & Beverage show right across the river in York. They will have wine and beer tasting and I have convinced Hal to go. It might even end up to be a field trip with some of the teachers and spouses that he works with. One way or the other it will be a lot of fun.

Oh, that sounds like fun, Terry!!! We tried to get Bob to go this afternoon but he looked at me like I had grown another head. :rotfl2:

So it is official!! I am going to see a dallas cowboys game!! Unfortunately, its such a quick trip, i wont be able to meet up with our DDAers in the area, but I can defintely say this will nto be my last trip to dallas!

Elin, do you have a picture of the mickey head (gourds, etc) in its entirety? How cool!

ETA: I'm so glad you rode M:S! It's my favorite! :goodvibes:

I uploaded the two photos I have from that morning in a larger format. Sorry... it is the best I can do unless I find another photo I have somehow missed, Jennifer.

:woohoo:

Elin hope you have a good time at the wine festival!

We did! Buying the tickets online meant we spent $16.75 per person. That gave us admission and a Festival wine glass that we could have filled as much as we wished. There were 8 Virginia wineries and a local microbrewery there, so no problem getting plenty of good things to drink.

They also had a few kiosks where food was being sold. Kristin ordered a fried Snicker's bar. Wow! Not my cup of tea, but she snarfed that thing down quickly after I had my only bite. We had some fine herb dips to try and bought a number of the packets to bring home. Also received a year's subscription to a new magazine: Virginia Wine Lover. Looks very interesting. And free! I also got something I had been wanting for a while but didn't have the chance to order before leaving for WDW.

But how FUN for you!! To see the game and have it be your beloved Cowboys. When are you going?

ETA: I see you are going in 53 days!

And I hope it isn't icy like it was that one year! The airport doesn't function well in the ice! :scared:

Elin - What a nifty device! Just don't wear it while you are driving! ;)

 YUCK! But I do hope Alan and Jacob have fun!

Well, it's not my idea of a good time, but Jacob and Alan love it! I'm actually hoping that they get an elk this year. With meat prices the way they are, my freezer could benefit from an infusion!

When Katie was about 5, she heard her dad talking about deer hunting. She was appalled that he would shoot a deer, and for a week before he went, she made him watch Bambi with her every night. It didn't stop him, but he did say he felt more guilty.

That is so cool!! I'm with Kristin, I LOVE fried snickers bars. Or fried Oreos, or Twinkies... :rolleyes1
