Theresa, how are you feeling? did the headache go away? how is the asthma?

the headache went away....the asthma did not. I am obviously fighting something else. After I catch up here I am headed to bed...and pray that I feel better in the morning as it's going to be a looooooong day.

Thanks for asking

Debbie - the blanket is very pretty. I hope you get your wish!

Buzz Lightyear- I do not think we had rode it earlier as we only rode it once this day

We staked out our spot in front of the castle, for Remember Dreams come true. We went further right. Since I had more people to surround me I did not get knocked around as much, but people were still walking through.

After the fireworks we joined the crowd to Fantasmic. We got in the handicap section again, there were more people and it took longer since we were over further.

Waiting for the show

The show was once again really good

We headed back to the hotel. Dad was still sleeping. To his knowledge he had not eaten anything. We made sure he ate some food. We all headed to bed. Tomorrow is cruise day.:cool1: :cool1:

princess: Beautiful!princess:

So cute! Great job Debbie!

I need to get to cleaning out, but I have no motivation. :confused3 No Reservations is really entertaining me. Maybe I should make myself a goal, then if I reach it I will pick up some take-out from PF Chang's tomorrow. I'm still craving it!
:wizard: Good luck!

OK...I've got to go to bed. Its been a long week. DH reminded me tonight that he has jury duty Monday. He should have reminded me today. I have a 9am meeting but I can't get to the office til about 9:15 because I have to get Joe & Emma on the bus.:scared: I certainly hope he doesn't get chosen for a long trial. Our town isn't connected to the county we are in so it is a drive to the courthouse. There is a courhouse less than 5 miles from our house but that is another county. He didn't get the one near my office but did the one about 1 1/2 hours away instead of the one closer to 2 hours.

Becky - Those Jack mouse ears are FABULOUS! I don't think they have those at WDW.

I knew you would love them. I contemplated buying them as I am a fan of NBC. Then again I have never had a set of any sort of mouse ears. I do not remember seeing them at the WOD in Florida, then again we quickly ran through there and Downtown Disney. I did not step foot in a park. I saw some other neat Halloween stuff.

Sunday, August 17th

So today was embarkation day. I got up uber excited. We needed to be at the bus pick up location at 8:30am. Then Dad started talking about how he was still not feeling well and was not going. We tried to tell him he could get on the ship and sleep for the first few days till he felt better. It did not work. He was not going which meant my Mom was not going either. As she would not leave him. She tried to convince Stephen and I to not go either. We decided we were going anyways.

So we frantically threw our stuff that we needed for the cruise in our suitcases. Then we tried to find airfare for our parents, as once we left they would have no computer. My Dad wanted to leave this day. Well the only flight had a layover and it would have taken about 18-20 hours to get home.

I do not think so. I was not sending him through that many hours of travel when he did not feel well.

So we knew they would need someplace to stay overnight, so we checked with the hotel. They had a room, it was a different room but they had space. We found them a flight Monday morning. They would need to leave for the airport around 4am. We needed to find them transportation to the airport. We found the shuttle that would take them to the airport and it ran early enough.

So we booked the airfare. We booked the hotel and arranged the shuttle. It was now about 8:20am. 10 minutes to bus time. We ran and grabbed breakfast. Then we grabbed all of our bags, our Mom helped us to the bus stop. The bus had not arrived yet.:thumbsup2 We had arranged with a group of DISers bus transportation to the port. The group had booked 4 buses.

This was all of our luggage plus one 21 inch upright rolling suitcase. We did laundry once. We refused to pay all the crazy fees for lots of luggage.
DSC02750.jpg

We told our Mom she could go to Downtown Disney and told her food places nearby so they could eat. She gets stressed in situations that are unknown. We told her she could call us until about 6pm. After that they could email us. She needed to pack everything up so they could move rooms.

They hotel allowed them to stay in their room after check out, until their new room was ready. They also helped them with lots of questions and information. To ensure they got what they needed as they knew Dad was not feeling well.

We saw a bus stop in front of Park Vue Inn. So Stephen ran over to see if it was one of our busses. It was the bus for the 4 of us. Although it was only 2 of us. The rest of the people at the stop were getting on a different bus. It just happened this way due to numbers. Let's just say I do not know if all of our luggage plus the 4 of us would have fit. Good thing that they did not plan on filling the busses with more people.

Elin - I'm loving your trip report. Sounds like you and Bob had a nice relaxing time!

Jennifer - Your trip sounds like fun even with all the ickiness. I'm glad that the girls had a great time. Your photos are darling! I can't believe how big Virginia is! Time flies so fast!!!

Theresa - I'd be happy to pick up the giraffe for you. I'll try to get up there tomorrow, if not, though, I'll do it next week.

Channon - Have a magical day tomorrow! Enjoy every minute of it!

Well, you can all add Alan to your list of sick hubbies. He's had a cold for several days, and he actually agreed to go to the doctor this morning. He's borderline pneumonia, and is on antibiotics for that. He was able to get out of filming the football game tonight which is good because it's raining here, and I don't think that would do him any good at all! We're still going out to eat to a local deli, though.

Oh, Theresa!!! After dinner we're going to IKEA to look for a bed for Jacob. I went to wake him up for school yesterday and one side of his bed had collapsed during the night. It was scary, because his head was kind of trapped between the bed and the wall. Not tightly, but I had horrible visions of what could happen! So, he gets a new bed, pronto!!!

Marci - I forgot to mention how wonderful your son's progress is! You have every right to brag, and we want you to! Tell him congratulations from all his aunties and uncles!

:wizard: :wizard: That Alan gets better and that you don't catch it.

Let's see how well I can do without taking notes,

Welcome home Elin!

Good luck with selling the house Anne Marie

Congrats on the great report card Marci, and yes you will cry when he graduates.

Welcome home Tia! Can't wait to hear about your trip also.

Jennifer - Feel better soon, sorry the girls were ill during your trip. You got some great pictures though.

Have a great trip Robyn, we'll be waiting for pictures.

Loved your pictures Theresa and Glynis, glad you had a good time. I've found that meeting DDA members is just like meeting old friends.

Hope you and John are feeliing better soon Heidi

Steffy - you and Terry will have a wonderful trip, with or without the laptop.

Tammi - what are Nicholas's favorite restaurants in Disney. We've booked a trip in May to take Brandon, we won't be doing the dining plan but I do want to book a couple of meals that he will enjoy. He had a great time at Chef Mickey's and I think he would get a kick out of lunch at Sci Fi.

Elizabeth - glad DH's test came back good. I don't have any good advice about the DS situation, but I did want to say that I found him quite charming.

I'd like to ask for a little PD this way, I find myself in a funk and I can't seem to pull myself out of it. Our ME tags arriving today did help some but it didn't last long.

I hope that your funk leaves quickly. :wizard:

My boys like the character meals, specifically Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace and anything with Donald. If they were to chose a non character meal it would be the Coral Reef as they loved the aquarium and the food :thumbsup2

Thanks for the PD, now we'll see if I can put it to good use.

We get to take another peek at the baby Monday, we'll see if he/ or she decides to cooperate. Here's the latest afghan, can you tell I'm hopeing for a Princess?

IMG_3860.jpg

I love the afghan. It looks so complicated

Thank you.
It took a while, he came home took Tylenol and slept for an hour. Got up ate soup soup then went back to bed. He said when he got up the second time it was gone.

I'm glad he is better, I hope he stays that way.

Saturday, August 16th

So today we slept in as we were going to Disney's California Adventure and it only opened at 10am. We got up and grabbed breakfast at the hotel.

We headed to Toy Story Mania, as we knew lines would get longer during the day.

At Toy Story Mania we had to wait in the normal line for wheelchair access. I think we waited about an hour.

Since wheelchair loaders go in the regular line, they are given the option of getting on a car at the regular loading dock. It is right there, to get to the wheelchair loading area you go by the regular area. The issue is not loading, it is getting back out of the attraction, as there are 18 steps to exit. They ask if you can handle the steps. We opted to not take the steps. I probably could have handled them though. We ended up waiting longer since we did not get on at the regular section. They have a section that pulls out and the track switches to put the wheelchair accessible car on the ride track.

This car also had a button in addition to the normal pull string trigger

Notice I have no button on top

I enjoyed this ride. I am sure it is the very similar to the one at WDW. You wear 3-d glasses and move around a track stop at screens and play games, shooting objects at different things.

TSM looks very similar to the one at HS. The handicapped entrance there is through the fast pass line then off to the right. The track turns just as you described.

the headache went away....the asthma did not. I am obviously fighting something else. After I catch up here I am headed to bed...and pray that I feel better in the morning as it's going to be a looooooong day.

Thanks for asking

:wizard: :wizard: Sickies be Gone

Becky, Elin and Jennifer I am enjoying the trip reports

Jennifer when I look at your pictures and see how happy Virginia is it just reminds me that children are never too young to enjoy at Disney trip :goodvibes

I went in to volunteer for Colby's art class this morning. They just need a couple of extra hands. As I was headed for the door at 9 am the secretary stopped me and asked if I had time to be the sub in a study hall. I stayed and did the study hall then helped in the office until Colby got out. It was really easy and I officially did my first day of subbing. I'll get paid for a half day :thumbsup2 I was hoping that being seen around school more would give them incentive to call me to sub and apparently it worked even better than I expected.

I worked tonight. We have TONS of leaf peepers in town. The hotels are all full. We were moderately busy so I won't complain :thumbsup2

Tomorrow is the first day of bowling league so we will have to get up and moving. Since Nick has a friend over I have to get 4 boys ready:rolleyes:

Glynis - hope Alan starts to feel better soon.

Jennifer - It sounds like you all made some wonderful new memories. I have never seen Mickey in World Showcase.

It was between Germany and Italy I think it was kind of where they can bring stuff out. I just happened to see him their and their were other people standing their so we got in line. Peter Pan happend to be near by and as I was digging his card out I happen to spot Mickey and since his line was shorter we hopped over their. Luckily we found Peter Pan again at MK

Speaking of Princesses, I loved this one of the Three Red Headed Princesses Jennifer,

ThreePrincesses.jpg

I love it Deb. I added it to the Photobucket album

I like the afghan as well. fingers crossed that pumpkin cooperates Monday and you find out which it is.

Great pictures, and I love the one of Pooh sitting holding Virginia. Its great when they get down on the ground with the baby's. :goodvibes

I loved that as well. I went to pick her up and Pooh swated at my arm and his handler said oh no we are keeping her. :)

I was going to write a huge reply to everyone. I am exhausted. Just plain exhausted.

Please know I gave high fives to the kids who are doing great in school. :thumbsup2

Big hugs to the parents of the kids acting up. :grouphug:

Hugs all around to the sick kids and sick husbands.:grouphug:

3 trip reports! Wow. Thanks. Nice going. I love them all.:goodvibes

Nice afghan Debbie.:thumbsup2

I have got to figure out how to make my phone alarm so I can get my boarding pass. I am almost packed. I have finished my laundry. Every article of clothing and my sheets are now clean. :laundy:

I have to stop somewhere and buy a small notebook. I want to take notes. I am really going through withdrawl already. I'm going to miss my laptop so much!!!!!:surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb:

But we really need a true vacation. I am not taking my video camera. No laptop. No pins!!! :scared1: I am taking 3 camera cards. I remembered the power cords. Remembered my Zyrtec. Have my long lounging dress/coverup. Bathing suit. Yes, I think we will hit the hot tub.  Deep breaths. Deep breaths.

I am off $75,000 in my $3,000,000 budget. Not bad, but I really wanted it to balance before I left. I stayed at the office until after 9:00, but needed to shut down the computer and give up until next week. I'm hoping bunches of Grey Goose slushies and Grand Mariner smoothies will clear the mind.:goodvibes :goodvibes

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway, please watch over Terry. :grouphug: :grouphug: :flower3:

61 days!!!!

I'll talk to you all next week!!!!!

Jennifer great pictures, and nice to see the girls had a fun time even though they were sick.

thats cause I had to fight them every 3 hrs and force the meds down them. Neither girl takes meds very well or readily.
