Thanks for all the info. I need to get a new copy of my birth certificate. I only have the original and it isn't formatted like the new ones. I wonder if they would accept the wallet size version or if I need the full sized one? I apparently also need my marriage certificate.

I would love to take the kids to the Atlantis waterpark, but it is over $150 pp through the cruise. I wonder if it is cheaper just going :confused3

You could rent a day room at Atlantis or the Comfort Inn nearby. Then you get the wristbands. More info is in this thread and http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=27503889#post27503889&highlight=atlantis+day+rooms

You just have to remember that you might not end up in the port the day you think you will.

I have a hold on a cruise for Oct 20 -24. Rooms are just $99 :cool1: :cool1: I'm just waiting for my mother to get back to me on whether she wants to go or not. My brother and dad will be on a hunting trip at that time. :cool1: :cool1: I can't stand the waiting. The only thing that would be better would be a DING

How exciting!! I'm sorry it ended up more than you thought, but yes- you still got a GREAT deal! :rotfl: My MIL cruised with Norwegian. I don't know that it would be my favorite, but it's is a cruise (and a nice line, nonetheless!), and they're ALWAYS a good vacation! As for the Bahamas, Marci obviously mentioned Atlantis. It's great with kids! Kyle and I walked really far off the beaten path and saw some FABULOUS things - sights, non-touristy stuff, breathtaking views of the port. I can give you our walking path if you'd like, I still have it! It depends on the child though, how bored they would be, but adults might enjoy it! ;)

Jen, I hope your drive home was non-eventful and you and the girls have a good night!

Oh my gosh, I'll just say you have no powers that reach far enough, apparently. :guilty: We had a horrific drive home -- traffic, closed highways, etc.... but worse was Elise deciding to stop breathing. Awful. It ended up taking us about 8 hours to get home (at least), and I rode abotu 7 of it in the back seat between two carseats, where there is no room for another human being (or 6.5 pound dog, for that matter). She's doing fine this morning, and I can talk more later. It sucked.

On a brighter note, your new signature is oh so creative! ;) :rotfl:

Let's get together next week!

Can I say how amazing the DDA is? My sister called the dr. this afternoon and while she didn't speak to the dr the nurse and the physician's aide read her lab reports and they are sure that things are A-OK with Baby Buzz, that's what my niece, Emma and Mo call him! They told her that the dr will go over everything in detail at her next appointment felt confident enough that every thing is fine.

Thanks again!

I'm so glad to hear things are looking better!

Leighanna has spirit week at school next week.

Monday is dress like a star day. Wear you most glamorous outfit.

Uhmmmmm... How many glamorous outfits do six year old kids own?

I have a feeling I might be sewing something up this weekend.:sad2:

Sunglasses and a pink feather boa... problem solved! ;)

Leighanna got her first "love letter" from a boy in her class today.

She says that she really "loves" him too.

Of course this is the one boy in the class that is in constant trouble.

I think she has a thing for bad boys.:cool2: :scared: :sad2:

I love it! I was in 1st Grade when my first boyfriend and I sent love letters back and forth. :goodvibes I told Kyle that Chris and I never really did break up..... :rolleyes1 ;)

Rats. I'm out of wine.

Nicholas wants to be something scary this year. He keeps talking about being a Dementor from HP. Alyssa, of course, wants to be something 'pretty'.

I was trying to talk them into being Ryan and Sharpey from HSM. Alyssa looked at Nicholas and said "do you want to?" with a very hopeful look on her face. His reply..."NO!"

Oh, Ryan and Sharpay would have been so cute! I can understand Nicholas' apprehension, though :)

Jen - I'm sure you will be great with your new child! As someone else mentioned, just document the heck out of everything, and ask for help if you need it! :wizard:

We're home. Last night was horrible, I'll post more later. Kyle ended up getting to work at about 1:45am. Ordinarily I would have felt bad for the person who covered for him, but obviously neither of us cared. Don't worry, Elise and the rest of us are doing fine today... it was just a little scary to say the least, and Kyle and I (given the work we do) do NOT get rattled easily about kid stuff - even when it's been our own, thus far. *sigh*

I'm off to feed the girls, and then try and unpack some. I have to help Kyle study today. He was planning on being finished with the drive home, but we didn't get anything accomplished, that's for sure!

Have a great day, DDA!

Jennifer sorry to hear the ride home was a little rough. How scary about Elise, glad she is ok! Hope today is better for all :wizard:

Jennifer, I hope Elise doesn't have any more of those episodes! :wizard: Glad you all made it home safely!

I need to take DS for a haircut today. Tonight we are going to dinner with the Uncles. :)

Good morning!

That is so scary. Any idea why she quit breathing? I'm glad that she is ok now:wizard:

Ok, now that they're settled this morning...

It definitely had a trigger, which is why I'm more confident she's ok this morning. She had eaten about an hour before, and woke up (in the carseat, while driving) screaming like she does with some of her worst belly pain episodes. It escalated SO quickly, even moreso than usual. Within about 2 minutes she was screaming so hard she was making herself choke, and Kyle was already planning on getting off at an exit to try and calm her down, give her medicine, resolve her issues, etc so she could sleep more comfortably. Within less than another minute (so about 3-4 minutes total of this), she made this awful noise that I can hear but can't describe adequately, then just quit. It almost looked (from what I could tell hanging over the back of my seat (sans seatbelt of course) and looking in the mirror we have hanging) like just some sort of either aspiration, diaphragm spasm, etc I'm assuming she, amidst the crying and choking, spit up and aspirated on it, but I watched her just gasp and then stop altogether.

By this point Kyle was whipping into a gas station (thankfully we weren't quite to BFE Indiana in our drive!) and it just took a little forceful stimulation, which started the choking again, but also started the breathing.

Not fun, but thankfully it was fewer than 20 seconds. Long enough for her to be glassy-eyed and gray in color (this definitely is what freaked me out!) but not long enough for her mental status to be changed or anything, once she recovered

I rode in the back with her just to keep her crying in check, and watch her when she spit up in case she were to aspirate again. Ugh!

Hopefully it was a one time thing, just a freak combination of events. Certainly she's prone to it as long as she's refluxing, having belly issues, etc. We're already seeing them outgrow a bit of them though, so I imagine we're ok. :sad2:

That's sweet and yeah most girls fall for the bad boys at first, but when most get older they change their minds.

I have been whittling away at our laundry this morning. It never ceases to amaze me that no matter how many loads I do during the week by Saturday there are easily 5 or more loads. :confused3 I swear it jumps out of our dressers and into the hamper!

We have a birthday party this afternoon for my girlfriend's DD, she turned 1 on Thursday. It's a 45 minute drive to her house and the party is right at Lucy's nap time, 1pm. We are also taking my mom, sister and niece so our van will be filled to the brim so I doubt she'll nap on our way up.
