:cool1: :cool1: Deb's cruising!!! You're gonna have a blast!!!

So far it's been a "he said" and "he said". I don't really want to hear school yard bickering - I want to know HOW they plan on changing and fixing things.

So my cat was cuddling with me today. She got spooked for some reason and now I have a lovely 5 inch scratch on my neck. :headache: Just in time! Anyone have any other suggestions besides bactine and ointment?
Ouch. Cat scratches are painful. Neosporin is what I would suggest.

Hey sewing experts! What's the easiest way for me to make Aladdin (street rat) and Abu vests for my boys? And, um, I don't own a sewing machine. :rolleyes1
Take a rectangular piece of fabric and fold it in half. Cut up the front of it to make the vest opening. Cut holes out of the sides for sleeves. Maybe cut the front corners to angle them a bit. That's my best suggestion. :confused3 Cut around the neck area too, to make it round.

Leighanna has spirit week at school next week.

Monday is dress like a star day. Wear you most glamorous outfit.

Uhmmmmm... How many glamorous outfits do six year old kids own?

I have a feeling I might be sewing something up this weekend.:sad2:
No no no. You look in her closet and pick out the most glamorous pair of jeans and tshirt that she HAS. You don't go out and GET (in your case make) a glamorous outfit.

Not thrilled with the debate.

When Arabella slashed DS across his face we used Neosporin on it. Now there is just the faintest line. I didn't even know there was a scar until I saw him at a certain angle in full sunlight one day. I thought it had healed without scarring.

:rotfl:

Does JoAnns sell felt by the yard or do I have to buy little pieces of felt at Michaels and staple them together? ;)

I made DS a jester costume one year using only fabric glue. The only "sewing" I did was to sew jingle bells on the tips of the hat (a stocking cap) and maybe stitch some ribbon to tie the neck closed in the back. He wore it over a turtleneck and knit pants (kind of like pajama bottoms). I bought felt by the yard at WalMart. Yes, I HATE WalMart but there are some things my precious Target doesn't carry. :sad2:

Mo wants to be Ro, Barbie in the Island Princess. Not in the pretty blue dress but in the white dress (can you say white bed sheet and fake flower?).

Emma wants to be Felicity from American Girl. Lucy could care less so I think she is going to Pooh's Hunny pot that Emma wore on her 1st Halloween.
Nicholas wants to be something scary this year. He keeps talking about being a Dementor from HP. Alyssa, of course, wants to be something 'pretty'.

I was trying to talk them into being Ryan and Sharpey from HSM. Alyssa looked at Nicholas and said "do you want to?" with a very hopeful look on her face. His reply..."NO!"

They'd make a great Ryan and Sharpay!!! I'd take scary over a bedsheet dress. My cousin's dd, who is Em's age, wants to be a snowball. She is always very creative with her ideas.

Now I am really am off.

Can't wait to see what you make!

:woohoo: :yay: :cool1:

I bet the boys are really excited!

Yep, but not as excited as Chris and I are.

Beth - If you ever road trip to Dallas I think perhaps you ought to skip Sonic. Princess wanted grilled cheese for dinner so we drove through. Ick. Her grilled cheese has been "grilled" on less than 1/4 of the bread. The rest of it is just plain bread. The cheese wasn't even melted! She doesn't care, but I am renewing my vow NOT to go to that Sonic anymore.

We spent the day at the Arboretum. My back is not doing well. I think it is from putting her in and out of the stroller over and over. Just before we left to come home I had a horrible back spasm and ended up kneeling on the ground. I hate that. DH and DS were just horrified, but when that happens I don't want anyone to touch me or try to help me up. It was a long day, and I am working until about 9 PM.

ouch. I hope you are feeling better by now :wizard:

Can I say how amazing the DDA is? My sister called the dr. this afternoon and while she didn't speak to the dr the nurse and the physician's aide read her lab reports and they are sure that things are A-OK with Baby Buzz, that's what my niece, Emma and Mo call him! They told her that the dr will go over everything in detail at her next appointment felt confident enough that every thing is fine.

Thanks again!

that is terrific news.

Exciting!! no experience with that cruise line, but ask any cruise questions you want!

Ever been to the Bahamas? Are there things to do within walking distance in Freeport or Nassau. I don't see any excursions that we are overly excited about.

Oh no. Bad kitty. Lots of neosporin and some good luck :wizard: :wizard: and if it's not gone on the big day some really good make up :confused3

You're the best! :teeth:

I don't think Noah likes either candidate. Lots of fussing going on.

I'm with Noah. I can't stand that condecending grin that is constantly on McCains face. Can you imagine him using that when meeting with World leaders. It's kind of a you're full of crap/I'm better than you grin.

Check out this site

Is Nicholas in 2nd grade? The year DS was in 2nd grade he was invited over to trick-or-treat with some friends from school. DS was a wizard, but ALL of the other boys were some sort of gruesome thing. My bad.
Since then DS has griped that nothing is scary enough. The past 2 years he hasn't even had a costume.

We have a mummy costume that I'd be happy to lend out :rolleyes1 I can check the size if you're intersted.
