Tammi- Did you try size 8 slims?? According to size charts, the waist of those would be in between a 7 slim and a 7 regular. How they figure that I have no clue. Good job Nicholas.
No. The 8s would be way too long.

Jennifer - I hope you have a great trip!

Glynis - are you feeling any better today?

I see the narrators for the CP have been updated. We get Neil Patrick Harris.

This whole sleep thing is really throwing me off! (Not that I'm complaining!) I've gotten to sleep until about 4am the last few days () but then it's too close to my internal alarm's "wake time", and I can't go back to sleep. I like getting up at 5 or 5:30. 3:30 or 4? Eh, ot so much!

I have no car this morning (mom is borrowing Kyle's while waiting for a new one later this week, Kyle will take mine to work) so I'll be home, on the computer a lot to get caught up on some things before we leave. We head to Chicago around lunchtime, as soon as Kyle can sign out to the MD covering him. I'm so excited! It's a super short trip, but SO long overdue! :faint:

I'll check in at least once before then. Right now, I'm off to feed stirring girls.

Make it a great day, DDA! :goodvibes

I hope you and Kyle and the girls have a wonderful time in Chicago, Jennifer!!

I bet he would be great! We will not go again this year. No desire to see Steven Curtis Chapman or Edward James Olmos. If we are in Epcot in the evening and the music calls to me I will stop and listen for a bit. It still makes me tear up when I listen to my CD.

I never would have thought of it really (for reasons mentioned -- just curling iron, veil under, etc) but I think it looks beautiful, and so classy!

Your highlights look great, even when it's up! She did a great job! :goodvibes

New wedding question -- I know we saw your dress, but I'm drawing a blank  How does it bustle?! I love weddings, and wedding pictures! Yours is so close! :yay:

Well, here's the back of the dress...

and it fits now. It's not 5 inches too long anymore. But she put a button at the end of the laces and a button loop in between the second and third decal down the back. Then she put eye hooks behind the two decals that are flat on the floor (the bottom left/right ones) and those will be hooked "out" where as the button one will be hooked "up". That way the dress is flat on my butt, but because it's such a long train, we still have a small train on the floor. I'm also afraid of the weight once it get's hooked up - I swear that is another 15lbs and is going to pull my dress down with the weight.

OK, I'm off to work. More later if I can!

...and I think my seating chart is done. I like it now. I just have to remember that it's just for dinner, you can move around later on. And I do have a few tables with 9 and one table with 6. Too bad.

it looks lovely, Chanon. :lovestruc
I agree--looks great chanon!

YAY~

Good mornig all

Yes Stephanie emailed me and said she would look.

I got all my kitchen stuff at AK and don't remember seeing any there either. Thanks for looking at DTD.

Heidi...

not sure if anyone answered you....but I was at DTD and saw NO paper towel holders of any kind

I adore him! Of course, I generally think he's hysterical, and that's not really the 'thing' for the CP.... ;) I'm sure he'll be good, though!

It will be easier to remove once the reception starts. It'll just be bobby pinned in - the comb is "backwards" for wearing it this way. If we went over the top, it'd be really hard to remove and keep the curls curled.
I'm amazed that she did all of that freform - just bobby pins and a curling iron.

Very pretty!! :)

Have fun in Chicago! :wizard:

I didn't sleep well last night, and then some woman phoned at 6:10 AM. She had the wrong number! I figured it was DH calling.

Princess has school today, so no big plans for me.

Oh, I really love SCC. I saw him last year, and he was wonderful! I'm glad he's doing it this year. He just recently lost a daughter (tragic accident, older son hit her with a car :(), and I wasn't sure if plans had changed.

Thank you (and Tammi! ETA: And all of you! :rotfl:) for the well-wishes. Not much longer now, before we leave! :yay:

My day certainly got more interesting. We have a new head chef at the restaurant as the former head chef/owner is moving to Oregon. The new Guy started today with his brother/assistant. There are a lot of changes. I think overall it will be great and hopefully will breathe some new life into the restaurant. I can see lots of bumps along the road in the next few weeks. He has already removed all the microwaves that they used to use. Everything will be cooked to order without cutting corners. He has also come up with some interesting and new specials. We no longer are cutting the vegetables for the salad bar and we aren't plateing the french fries. It was a learning experience to say the least.

I plan to go in early tomorrow morning to print the new menus. Colby took a long nap today and went to bed early so I have my fingers crossed that he is not getting sick. Hunter still has an earache so I'm hoping that the meds are working. He seems to be able to go longer periods without the numbing meds so maybe things are getting better. He asked me to give him his meds during the night instead of in the morning as it worked well today. Not having the ear drops clogging up his ears right before school worked better for him.

No cutting salad bar veggies must be a relief for the wait staff!

I hope that Hunter feels all better soon and that Colby doesn't get sick.

Laura had a cold that is making her miserable, but she is well enough to go to school and practice.

Congrats on finishing the seating chart! ;)

Oooh very nice.

It's funny that it is Christmas stuff. I was just thinking about the boys birthday party. I was toying with a Christmas theme, that way I could put my Christmas decorations up now and save time this winter :lmao: :lmao: The rest of the family isn't buying into it :confused3

:rotfl: Sounds like a great plan to me! ;)

I also had highlights done today and hair trial.
BEAUTIFUL!!!

I took her to Kohl's. They have the adjustable waists and their prices are right. :thumbsup2 Even with the waist adjusted in, she has so much bagginess in the butt and hips. I'm going to look at Old Navy and a few other stores too. Maybe they will have jeans with different cuts.

I hate to tell you this, but jean shopping doesn't get any better. :scared1: Just wait until she tries on hundreds of pairs that you think look great, but she can't stand any of them for one reason or another. Also, the legs are so long in "regular" length, but short is cut too short in other areas.

G'night, everyone. I'm going to go put my feet up. I've been having Braxton/Hicks all evening, and it's got me a bit freaked out!

Take care!

I never heard of a Golden Birthday until you guys talked about it either. Mine would have been my 11th.

I didn't hear of Golden Birthdays until much too late to celebrate mine, but mine would have been my 18th, so it was special enough already. We don't celebrate them here either. All of my kids have them on relatively special birthdays anyway (15, 16, 21).

Jennifer, I hope you have a terrific time in Chicago.

Yay!!! :cool1:
