DDA Chapter 11

Three great things happened today! We've booked our horseback riding for Nassau, got our marriage license, and Bob said we have 2 more boxes at the house for my virtual shower! WHO HOO!
Great day in Chanonland! :woohoo:

Good news- I no longer have a fracture in my foot. The part that was fractured is still much narrower then the rest of the bone. So I have to wear the walking boot for 2 more weeks. Then I can start wearing shoes. I have to go back again on October 21st to make sure everything is still good. The doctor seemed surprised and impressed that it was healing on its own.

Thanks for all the good thoughts!:goodvibes
Yay for the good news! :cool1:

Becky - very nice picture, boot and all!

Has this ever happened to you all:

I KNOW I read all of page 221 but when I went to 222 there were a lot quoted posts from that page that I didn't see,:confused3 , anyway:

Yeah!! Becky...no fracture!!:cool1:

Elizabeth-glad Dadboss is okay. On my second trip to FL I was entertained immensely by an obviously drunk lady that walked into the mirrored wall right beside us twice and twice into a sliding glass door. :rotfl2:

Deb-glad you talked to your boss about the doorknob (co-worker)

Just a reminder I'm taking information for the DDA ornament exchange...I haven't received as many as I have in the past....I may end up sending to myself at this rate:lmao:
Did you get ours? I submitted it when you first posted about it.

Thank you Glynis!!!

Very cute! yourBob looks like he lost weight.

Tell Bob thank you for being such a good sport & model :rotfl: :thumbsup2

Well, I give up! I only managed to read 5 missed pages in the last 2.5 days and you are posting much faster than that. ;) So, I'm jumping back to here.

Can anyone catch me up on the big stuff? Did we hear from Debbie ever?

Our camping trip was great! After 4" of rain on Thurs and a very misty, damp Fri we weren't too sure anymore. However it was wonderful. Beautiful temps, no rain, lots of sun. Terra earned her "Junior Naturalist" patch by attending a snake talk, night hike and collecting recycling around the campground. She is so proud of it!

Yesterday we spent a glorious day at the zoo. Then, today we took Danae to the Science Center while Wendy and Michael had their big day of appts. Tomorrow is a big trip working day as we start some packing, etc. 10 more days!!! (Of course, I'm a little bummed about the free dining pin for Nov/Dec that I received today as that's when I really wanted to go, but still...10 days!)

How is everyone?

So Stephanie and I are coming back from lunch and she suddenly exclaims, oh no my crocs!!! It seemed that she had the strap to the front on one of them and to the back on the other!!!! :lmao:

Back in the office, she was doing a report that my office mate usually does every month. Right now she is home with a family health issue that has a good ending. So Stephanie was sitting at her desk and every so often I would hear---"I'm going down. She is not paid enough for this job. How does she do it? How come so many kids did not attend the last week of camp???"
I kept saying I did not know and I really didn't care---What I really wanted to do was get a blow up bat and bop her on the head :rotfl: We were so tired and getting so hysterical. Times like that are when you really appreciate the people you work with.

Stephanie even called the specific office that is to receive this report to tell them it would be a day late and happened to mention she was using a little white-out and the lady on the other end of the line said she was going to be disappointed because our person who usually does this report always sends it Colored Coded!!!:lmao:

Tomorrow I will make sure that everything matches when I get dressed for work, that I have had a few good hours of sleep and I will keep Stephanie out of my office so I can have some peace and quiet. :lmao:

Yep! (Brat.) We both worked out together for the first four months of the year. He lost 30 pounds. I lost 5. (Brat.)
I'm sure if you would have posted a picture of yourself I would have noticed too! :goodvibes Besides, it's easier for men to lose weight than it is for women. :thumbsup2 Isn't it??? ;)

Tell him congrats on the weight loss and that he looks great!

Sounds like a great trip. Tell Terra congrats. Snake talk? She's a better woman than I am!

Yes, we did hear from Debbie. All is fine regarding Gustav, but her dad had a medical issue, but is pretty much all recovered.

Let's see....I'm really bad at this....

Amy upset her shopping cart. Luckily there was no child in it. :thumbsup2

Jennifer exploded a soda all over her house, then spilt one in her vehicle and promptly poured gasoline on herself.

Becky's foot is healing nicely.

Marci is in a funk, for unknown reasons. :( We are chalking it up to hormones.

Still haven't heard from Lindsay.

Deb is busy making halloween costumes.

Jen is adjusting to having her own classroom.

Anything else major that I forgot?

Since I posted it on the cruise thread. Here is a picture of my brother and I before boarding the ship.

:thumbsup2 Is your hair more red then it was before? :confused3 I like it.

.

How frustrating on both counts. I'm sorry the laptop isn't fixed properly. What did your boss say in response to you.

He said that he would take to said co worker. I'm sure he never will, but now I won't feel bad when I walk out and leave him to fend for himself ;)

Did you get our PMs? Maybe if you post a list of who has responded that would be helpful?

Theresa - Actually, that has been happening to me a lot lately with not seeing a post until it is quoted later on. Weird!
Drunks can definitely be entertaining. When they aren't part of your group. :rolleyes1

It happens to me at least daily :sad2:
