DDA Chapter 11

Jennifer having trouble with the weight after having babies is all too common for most of us. It doesn't help for some of us as we get older. I was so lucky when I had my first c-section. At the age of 20 I was able to get back into my bikini but only for that summer. I was really excited but it didn't last. With my second c-section I had gained over 35 lbs and my third I didn't gain as much, but things really did not get better. I then gained all the extra weight and then when I had my car accident, I could not exercise so the poochy belly really got worse. I will admit that i have not done anything exercise wise lately but have still been counting my points and maintaining. Sure wish I could get rid of some of the belly.

Nice pics, Becky and Chanon! :thumbsup2

We're home from meeting DS's teachers. I am completely confused on Band. We got a calendar with all sorts of stuff on it, no clue if DS is supposed to be there for that stuff or not, 2 of them are auditions at places I have never heard of and NOT during school hours. Whatever! He is going to have to go to a couple of football games, but it is literally TWO games. Hope we can handle that.

The teachers all seem OK. They do NOT have Snap Grades this year for us to log on and see the grades! :headache: The district changed to some other system that is mandatory for the teachers to use, but there is no way for parents to log into it!

DS has a big project on the election due in November that he never mentioned. :rolleyes1 If anybody has any presedential election materials will you PLEASE send them to us? He needs brochures, fliers, whatever and I swear we haven't gotten anything like that! He needs stuff from all of the candidates. 10 articles on the presidential race, 2 articles on other US races, 5 articles on other TX races, 2 cartoons, campaign pamphlets, stickers, etc. He also has to write an essay.

OK. Now I am tired! Chat with you all tomorrow!

As Elizabeth said yesterday, nice boxes :rolleyes1

I want to send Channon some jugs...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

...and our model for today...

What a cute model ;)

Becky I'm glad your foot is healing.

I need to jump in the shower. I smell like that restaurant and not in a good way :scared: I'll check back in a bit.

Deb- I knew I forgot to do something earlier.:thumbsup2
This is who I have signed up:

Deb (& boys)
Debbie
Heidi
Becky
Tom & Leighanna
Stephanie
Tammi (and kids)
Jennifers (bear & tink) and their girls :lovestruc
Chanon
Janet
Glynis (and all 5 of her kiddos:lovestruc )
Elin
me & the 2 girls

a couple of these have asked for multiples and a couple asked for a little later than Thanksgiving send by date.

I do understand if you can't do the exchange but I wanted everybody to have a chance to do it. I will "pull" the names on Monday so that Jennifer has an idea who she is sending to before she goes to Disney.

I signed up too!!!!

I'm back. I hope the smell didn't scare you all away :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I promise that I smell much better now ;)

So Nick came home with a "permission form" for us to complete for an upcoming field trip. There was no explanation of a field trip and the form was a waiver of liability from a camp that I had never heard of. Um, call me silly, but why would I sign that kind of form for something that I am not aware of? Nick says he needs it for tomorrow so I guess I'll accompany him to school in the morning. I wonder how many parents just blindly sign these things?:confused3

Sounds like a great trip. Tell Terra congrats. Snake talk? She's a better woman than I am!
She loved it! They got to pet one and everything which had her thrilled!

Yes, we did hear from Debbie. All is fine regarding Gustav, but her dad had a medical issue, but is pretty much all recovered.
Glad that dad is doing well, Debbie! Hope the other storms are leaving you alone.

Let's see....I'm really bad at this....

Amy upset her shopping cart. Luckily there was no child in it. :thumbsup2
Eek! Hope you didn't lose much in the way of groceries, etc. Glad no kids were involved.

Jennifer exploded a soda all over her house, then spilt one in her vehicle and promptly poured gasoline on herself.

Becky's foot is healing nicely.
Yippee! Glad no surgery is needed.

Marci is in a funk, for unknown reasons. :( We are chalking it up to hormones.
I totally understand those, Marci. I hope it clears as fast as it came.

Still haven't heard from Lindsay.

Deb is busy making halloween costumes.
Saw the lifeguard one and it looks great.

Jen is adjusting to having her own classroom.
Hope it is all going well, Jen!

Anything else major that I forgot?

Theresa - I thought I PMed you for me and Terra. I'll go check and do it again if I didn't. ETA: I did find the sent one. Let me know if you want me to forward it to you again.

That's just plain crazy! I'd be wanting a little more detail, especially when a waiver of liability is involved.

Deb, I cannot believe the teacher didn't send you a notice last week advising of the upcoming field trip. Good thing you are going to the school to find out about it.

Tia-I just went back and saw yours....sorry!!

Chris and I will be going to the Nascar race on Sunday. We had thought about buying tickets using the AAA special that came out last week. For $65 we would have had a seat, pit tour and we would meet David Ragan in the AAA garage. My brother and mother insisted that they were bad seats and that we should wait as there was a good chance that we would be given some. We we were given some, but the AAA tickets would have been BETTER. This is where we will be

So I saved $130, but how much of the race will we be able to see?

I don't think the trip is tomorrow, but I have no idea when it is or even if it is a one time thing. If a waiver of liability is involved I think I may need to be a chaperone.

Deb-we get one Fied trip permission form that is a very vague one used all year long (supposedly) we get a seperate one for every trip.

Good news- I no longer have a fracture in my foot. The part that was fractured is still much narrower then the rest of the bone. So I have to wear the walking boot for 2 more weeks. Then I can start wearing shoes. I have to go back again on October 21st to make sure everything is still good. The doctor seemed surprised and impressed that it was healing on its own.

Thanks for all the good thoughts!:goodvibes

:yay: :dance3: :cheer2:  :cool1: :woohoo:

The vague one came home the first day of school, but this is specific for some Farm and Wildlife program that I've never heard of. It lists things like hiking and rock climbing :confused3

I did it!!! :cool1: :cool1: I have airfare and hotel paid for my "air" weekend.

I have never, ever done anything so extravagent for myself. :goodvibes (there was a lot of guilt to do it, but sanity won out)
