Today I went to Michael's and I got 2 16x20 collage frames, with room for 10 pictures in each. My intentions are to make one with each of the kids photos in them. I'd like to start working on them tomorrow. It's going to be hard trying to decide which 10 out of almost nine years worth of pictures to choose.

That sounds like a cool project! You will have to post pics when you get them all finished!

Bernadette - Hope you manage to dig out from the piles of work soon! Thanks for offering to add my Chef Mickey to your PhotoPass! I don't think we need to do that, though. Since I bought the photo package we have multiple copies of it, and I have tons of other photos that I can print if I need prints.

I told DH I booked concierge. He didn't seem to have an opinion either way, but he agrees it is better to have the ressie and modify down to a standard studio if we change our minds later. I don't think I will change my mind. Towels, here I come!

It sounds like most of the DDA fared pretty well with Hanna.

Ike is looking kind of scary.

We had rain today but Hanna will be hitting tonight. Shouldn't be too bad. I hope Ike doesn't make landfall.

we just got a phone call that theres a fire with firemen on the roof where my brother is working--he tpyically goes on the roof and its SO windy...so here i sit, waiting for him to get down and call! oui!

I was just telling DH that DS and I saw a little thing on Disney Channel last night about the new Kingdom Keepers book. They had a short interview with the author of the book and he was saying if you look behind you in the Dinosaur ride that there is stuff to see. Has anybody ever turned around on that ride? It is all I can do to face forward and not hurt my back. I guess the new book is set in AK?

Never have looked backwards. Emma tried it this last trip and it is now one of her favorites!

The only thing Joe wanted to buy on his birthday trip was a 2008 photo album. I still haven't made his prints because I can't pick just 200 photos to put in it from the 1,000+ we took and the 300 or so photopass photos.

I've also been fighting a migraine, so comprehension is zilch.

Hope you can get rid of that pronto!!!!

You all were chatty since yesterday.

I spent most of the day in the beautiful weather feeding band kids...but we started the day off with Cassidy and I (and later Jim) fighting and it continued after we got back. I swear if she lives to her 17th birthday it will be a miracle.

For all of those who need it and . I read, but I've also been fighting a migraine, so comprehension is zilch.

Theresa - sounds like Cassidy is testing her boundaries. I hope she soon realizes she is the child and you mean what you say!

Eh. They were talking about it on the news tonight. IF DH was still on commission I would say maybe it would boost chip sales, but since he is on a flat rate of pay I don't even care about that!

I received my cd from the photo pass share today! I downloaded the pictures to my laptop & then transfered them to photobucket. I took out all of the duplicates & in doing so I took out some that had the borders. So here is what I have if anyone would like to see For some reason they downloaded to my laptop out of order, so they are all mixed up in photobucket

I feel about the same way...though I do love the HS team....we have 2 kids that we know on the team...they have now outscored the three teams they've played 157 to 34 (the team they played today was the only one to score against them )

So I seem to have found a way out of my funk.....I booked my next trip. The kids have a 1/2 day Wed 1/28 and half days Wed/Thu 2/4 & 5. So I figured that would be a good chance to take Lizzy. My plan was to go for 8 nights 1/31 to 2/8. I made 2 reservations-first 4 nights at Pop, next 4 at AKL concierge. Then I couldn't get decent airfare for 1/31 so I changed to Wed 1/28 to Tue 2/3-6 nights ALL at AKL concierge. I am so excited about this! Terry & Halley will join us at least Sat night-hopefully Fri night too. We hope to do the Sunrise Safari on Sun with the 4 of us. I wasn't looking forward to a split stay but couldn't "justify" 8 nights concierge. I am going to try to keep the AKL "detail" a secret til we get off the ME bus. Usually the Pop bus shares with AKL so I hope I can pull it off. When we get to AKL tell Lizzy-"hey, lets get off and stay here". I know she wouldn't like being surprised by a trip but I'm hoping she'll enjoy this surprise. I asked DH (she's just like him) and thought she could handle that.

I also told DH he has to plan next year's family trip and he seems excited by it.

I warned you that concierge was addicting! This year were you in a standard room for your concierge stay? What was your room location? Can you reccomend a good request for me?

Bernadette - Pop is the first stop on the ME route, so you will need to tell Lizzy not to get off there! From there it goes to one of the mods, then on to AKL.
We had a standard concierge room but I didn't make any requests ahead of time. I think ALL of the concierge rooms are on the 4th floor now, and they are all savannah view. (The concierge villas are NOT all savannah view, FYI.) Our room was 4417, on the Zebra Trail. It was a fabulous room, incredible view, great location.
