DDA Chapter 11

So I got the Disney crud. Lots of people were sick on the trip. I though I was going to make it unscathed and stay healthy. But I have been sneezing my head off and my sinuses hurt. Although that could just be from the storm related pressure changes, plus my typical fall allergies.

The positive is my foot does not appear to be swollen anymore. It might be a bit swollen. But after my flight home it was really swollen and I could not see my ankle bone anymore. It still hurts but who knows.

I spent a bunch of time in bed, since I do not feel well so I did not get hardly anything done, that I need to accomplish. I hope to find motivation tomorrow. As I need to finish a bunch of stuff for work.

Tammi, Nicholas is so CUTE!
DS was a court jester the year he was 3. He HATES any sort of face paint, so I put make-up on him after dinner by pretending to wash his face with the little sponge applicator. He saw himself in the mirror later on and came completely unglued. That was after trick-or-treating, luckily.

I received my cd from the photo pass share today! I downloaded the pictures to my laptop & then transfered them to photobucket. I took out all of the duplicates & in doing so I took out some that had the borders. So here is what I have if anyone would like to see For some reason they downloaded to my laptop out of order, so they are all mixed up in photobucket

Bernadette - Pop is the first stop on the ME route, so you will need to tell Lizzy not to get off there! From there it goes to one of the mods, then on to AKL.
We had a standard concierge room but I didn't make any requests ahead of time. I think ALL of the concierge rooms are on the 4th floor now, and they are all savannah view. (The concierge villas are NOT all savannah view, FYI.) Our room was 4417, on the Zebra Trail. It was a fabulous room, incredible view, great location.

I thought I stopped at AKL on my way to Pop. I must be confused. Well....anyways I hope I'm able to keep it a secret for as long as possible. I really don't won't her talking about it before we go in front of her brother and sister. They'll find out soon enough. Joe got to stay CR concierge so he can't complain. Poor Emma won't have a trip in 2009 as I have it planned now. I asked her today whose turn was next for a "solo" trip and she said Lizzy, then you get a trip alone, then Joe, then me. I'm planning Lizzy in Feb, Joe in May and Emma for her 7th birthday in Jan 2010.

I asked for Zebra trail near the elevators. Were is the longe? I know on the 6th floor but where?

Becky - I hope your foot is healing well! I didn't accomplish anything today, and I don't have an excuse. I didn't feel very well this afternoon, but I didn't do anything the rest of the day!

Bernadette - The lounge is basically above the front entrance. You can look over the railing down into the lobby. When you come off of the main elevators the lounge is just to the left. (And the main elevators are the only ones that go to the 6th floor. The "back" elevator that comes out by Simba's Clubhouse only goes as high as the 5th floor.)

So I was flipping through old photos trying to decide what I want to put in the frames that I bought. I just had to share these with you. In the first he wasn't too happy with the booties on his feet.

I go back Tuesday. Assuming they get my x-ray results in time. When I had the x-rays, they said it takes 2-3 business days for the Dr. to get results. Not counting Friday 2 days is Tuesday. I think I am going to call Tuesday morning to find out if they have the x-rays, if not I guess I will have to reschedule.

We did!

Our villa was also down the Zebra Trail, but it was on the other side of the hall so it looked out on the pool. It was pretty far down that hall, too. It's funny, we have stayed at AKL multiple times and always been on the right side of the lodge. If we ever get a room to the left I might get lost!

If you all could continue to lift Kristen and Joel up in your prayers (the friends I mentioned the other day), they got some pretty bad news this week.

Wednesday was Joel's biopsy, and they knew pretty quickly that the cancer had returned. On Thursday, they found that what they suspected "at worst" was true -- there were cancer cells in his spinal fluid. Essentially, after one week of remission, a cancer that had originally been one that - given Joel's age, health, etc - should have been very easily curable, will eventually take his life, although with no approximate timeline even. For now, they are looking at much more aggressive chemotherapy, and then radiation and a bone marrow transplant, assuming they can find a donor.

I know they appreciate and covet all the prayers they can get!

Tia and Jennifer... 22 of the past 23 days have had tropical storms and hurricanes affecting Florida in one way or another. I hope this trend stops very soon!!
