Thanks for all the good thoughts for me & the kids. Katie seemed much better today. Daniel's nose bleed stopped & he fell right asleep. Today was his first day of school & he was very excited.
Dana accepted the offer for NC this morning...we will be moving to the Raleigh area over Christmas break.

Can you all spare a few bits of pixie dust. It looks like Hanna is going to move up the coast near us Friday night into Saturday and from the path they are showing it will hit us from the west. Which is exactly where we don't want it to hit from. It obviously wont' be catastrophic but Isabel in 2003 was a TS and we ended up with 4 feet in the basement from just the storm surge.
sorry i have not been on but hi. my news here is i have to take watty to get tested for exercise induced collapse. it is a muscle disease that is new and they are now testing for. his litter mates that have been tested are either carriers or they tested negative. this afternoon i will take him to the vet to get a blood test done and then they will send it out and it will take 20 days for results to come back. so on with the show. i have pictures to show y'all:

I watched most of it. I tried to look at her very objectively since I am true Independent, in the most broad sense of the term. She surprised me. Without getting into any political talk I would say that McCain did his homework on this one. She is a very charismatic speaker who presents her side of the story extremely well.
I am also an independent. Chuck and Katrina were really impressed with her speech. I didn't get a chance to watch because I had to work last night. I did see her for about 5 minutes and what I saw I was impressed. For being inexperienced, she handled herself well.
As long as the electricity doesn't go out. That is my problem here. I have 2 sump pumps in my basement and worry about losing power. I used to have a generator, which we got after Isabel came through in 03, but that seems to have disappeared.![]()
I had my monthly doctor's appointment this morning, and things are really good! My blood pressure is finally excellent, and Peanut's heartbeat was perfect. I'm measuring where I should, and things are right where they should be! I had my blood drawn for a gestational diabetes test (I can't drink the glucose liquid because of my bypass), but they don't think there will be any problems, since I didn't have any with my other pregnancies when I was significantly overweight, and since I've lost all the weight, that is a point in my favor.
I was able to schedule my c-section for December 4th, so unless Peanut decides to come early, that will be his birthday! I'm so excited to have an actual "deadline!" Now, I just have to get everything ready!
Now, I'm off to make tuna noodle casserole. I am craving comfort food, and that sounds good to me!

And about 4 hours from the Outer Banks (same as for us!). Hmmmm... should we be looking for accommodations at the beach for next summer???![]()

I don't care how much experience she has....getting up in front of that crowd, and the entire nation via tv, has got to be terrifying.Remember that she is a Communications major, and that she has pageant experience. I fully expect her to be articulate and engaging as a speaker because she has had so much training. She also had her speech ahead of time and had practiced it.
That's me, especially when we are at WDW. I am always striking up conversations with people in lines, on the buses, CMs, etc. Bob just kind of stands there looking.![]()
I'm the same way. I'm not sure who I'll vote for, yet. I've got a lot of research to do before November comes.
