DS is really nervous about Monday. I hope he gets good teachers. I am stressed out about him having PE. He is sooooo slow at getting dressed that I can see him being late in and out of PE every single day, especially if they are supposed to shower afterwards. We need to request a 504 meeting, but last year the counselor said they don't like to do that until after the first 6 weeks. I think it needs to be sooner than that so he gets off on the right foot with all of the teachers.
Poor guy - lots of

I have to say, every time you abbreviate your name I wonder why you are talking about me. All my students and their parents call me Mrs. H! Bob says they will have to put that in my obituary or no one will know I died.![]()

Those on the photo session board have been told that the price has gone up for private sessions from $25 with preordered cd to $75 with preordered cd... I don't know if I can justify $75 for photos taken by a non-professional...though those are probably the only pictures that Bob and I will have together...
YIKES!!!! Has Disney not heard that the economy is not so hot? That kind of increase is absurd.
Perhaps they've been talking to my electricity company!
Is it 5 yet???
I've gotten 4 calls in less than a half hour to say when the Optimist Peaches would be delivered and about a dozen calls telling me I should be calling them (who I don't know from Adam) telling them when they can pick up their peaches.I asked one lady a couple of questions to find out how well she knew the building so that I could tell her how to pick up her peaches. She then proceeded to interrupt me as I am trying the best way to do so...she said I just want to know where to pick up the peaches. I said "I was trying to tell you!"
You all know my week hasn't been the best....I've been cleaning up messes left by others, today has been no exception. One of those 4 calls was from a gentleman who has his hearing aids turned off all of the time (even driving!!) and he kept talking even though I thanked him and said I knew when the peaches were coming. He just now cornered me about something to do with Sunday. I got impatient and said NOBODY HAS BEEN HERE FOR THAT TO BE RESOLVED.

The reason I got impatient?? I am trying to get back to the office to call Roto Rooter....our ONE truly handicapped accesible bathroom is backed up and I am the only one in the office (again) to be here to deal with it. Kind of symbolic of my week.![]()
I feel a smidge better!!
I'm sorry, Theresa.

Well, it looks like my charges are finally starting school on Monday. Only 2 weeks late, but hey, whatever. They could probably use some good thoughts though. After we toured the school BigSis says, "I thought there were no buses." I confirmed that they did have buses there and she says, "But I thought you said private schools didn't have buses." Umm, uh oh. MomBoss has never bothered to tell the girls that they are going to a different school than they think they are. They think they're going to a private, Christian school and they are going to a public school (though MomBoss intends to move them to the private school later in the sememster). In the course of the conversation I told BigSis the name of the school and answered her question that it wasn't a private school. I just couldn't see letting a 5th grader go to a new school, two weeks into the year, not knowing the name of her school or that it wasn't Christian. I can just see the issue it might cause when she calls the school by the wrong name and then is confused. Add to that, the girls won't have the required uniforms for the first few days, apparently, and I'm concerned with how smoothly the transition is going to be. Cinderella has already been acting out like crazy today due to what I'm sure is the stress and confusion. It was only yesterday afternoon that MomBoss told them they would start school on Monday.
Terra, on the other hand, is ecstatic that it's time for them to go to school. So at least someone is happy.![]()

Wow, Tia. Lots of

I think I got my gable box problem fixed! There's a place called the Flower Factory that has 9x5x5 kraft gable boxes in stock. Even though I don't like the brown paper bag look, I can deal with it. They have 26 boxes and at 65 cents a pop, I'm happy! It may be a 40 minute drive to get to the Flower Factory, but that's cheaper than $14 in shipping. On the way home we'll stop at Staples and I'll pick up some Avery Labels that are 4x6. I'll just make my own labels (thanks to some ideas from DigitalScrapbookingPlace.com and Photoshop!) and buy some fall ribbon (which is on clearance already at Joanne's!) and cover up most of the kraft brown color anyways! WHOO HOO!
That sounds like a perfect solution!

No news---i aws thinking if they were going to make the decision by today, maybe i wont get a call til monday--if i dont hear monday, ill be calling....now i wait all weekend..ugh
Ugh, I'm sorry, Jenn. I know waiting over the entire weekend won't be fun.
