My 90+ year old Dad is in the ICU. I'm on my way to Jersey.

We finished tieing down and putting up everything outside, so all that is left is the inside. I'm purposly taking my time with it, so that I have plenty to keep myself occupied.

We are under a hurricane warning, and evacutaion orders have been issued. But we will be staying put. We are in a very high location, so flooding is not a threat, it depends on the tides at the time of landfall how high the surge will be. Right now it's still beautiful outside, it's getting pretty breezy but I love a windy day.

They are shutting down my store at 1pm today and will keep it closed tomorrow to reopen Tuesday if possible. I'm not scheduled Tuesday but I will go in if I can to help out.

The traffic on the interstate has finally thinned out, but I'm sure it will be just as bad in the opposite direction after the storm.

I'll be grilling tonight, and fixing some of my frozen vegetables, gotta use up as much as we can.


Laundry is in process and should be finished this evening, everything needs to be clean in case we can't wash for a while.

Deb stay safe. Make sure your Cell phone is charged. SO you can call us and let us know you are safe. Do you have a designated DDA person to call who can post for you if you can't get on line so we know you are safe?

Debbie-you all are in my family's thoughts and prayers.

I am right now fighting a migraine....I cleaned our garage for awhile this morning....but didn't drink enough because as soon as it was over 80 degrees my head started pounding. I also found evidence that we've had at least one visitor in our garage!!

Deb - Scrapbooking? Organizing photos? I don't know, but I understand! Seems I often need an obsession as well. Too bad I have too many options available to me that I don't ever get too.

Kaylin came over today after they'd been gone for a week in CA. So I guess that means it had been 2 weeks since she'd been here. Anyway, she's walking like a pro now and has gone from calling me "Tuh" to a very loud clear "Tia". Crazy the changes that happen so quickly.

We left you at about 11am & got home at 6pm..so 7 hours. We hit alot of traffic in Maryland. There were also an unusual amount of potty breaks too.

Interesting news (not new, but confirmed):

Disney and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts have finalized the sale of 298 acres of Walt Disney World property to Four Seasons, for the construction of a previously-announced ultra-deluxe Four Seasons resort featuring hotel, golf course, timeshare, and vacation home sales (yes, you'll finally be able to live at Walt Disney World -- if you can afford it). The resort is being built on the former site of the Eagle Pines golf course. The first phase of the project is due to open in 2012.

I guess I better start saving better.

We just popped Nim's Island in the DVD player so I guess that I should watch.

I've decided that I must have an obsession in my life. Typically I am obsessed with planning our next Disney vacation, but since we have none on tap I lost my obsession. I don't even bother reading any other thread or forums these days. So my new obsession has been redeecorationg this house. Of course most of the big things are done now and Lord knows I've spent way too much money so I need to take a break from that too. So what would one suggest that I obsess about these days?

Redecorate my house. It would be heavy on my bank acct., not yours.

Oh and one last thing....Lucy is starting to take steps on her own!!!! She do about 5 at a time. She gets so excited though that she quickly falls downs!

This Labor Day weekend has been busy for me. Yesterday we were at a picnic at a coworkers house, until late in the evening. It was so hot and humid. Today we were at a picnic at Bob's coworker's house. Tomorrow we will close out the summer with an afternoon at the pool. I'm sending summer out with a bang!

I came home from work to day to having no wall between the kitchen & dining room. I think I am really going to like it like this, it makes the kitchen look much bigger! Of course the house is now coated with dust For the past 2 years our ceiling fan & light in the dining room has not worked, guess what is working now lol Gary said after he torn the wall down he seen the wire was kinked or something Anyway one thing less he has to fix!
