DDA Chapter 11

After 41 minutes I finally have a box on the way to pick up my compter and send it to a repair center :headache: I have avoided that call for months as I knew it would be a looong call. At least I got it over with and can check another thing off my to do list. The worst part was when they told me that my warranty had expired. I knew that I had extended it through Dec of this year so there was no way that was correct. Thankfully after the first moron passed me on to technical support the warranty miraculously showed up:rolleyes:

Now I need to try to get Colby to take a nap. I know that he won't want to go to bed early, but he needs to if he doesn't nap

I think I may have all the photopass cds burned now too :goodvibes

I am so excited about the no soccer!!!

Yep we are still coming. :thumbsup2 Emma still doesn't know, I refuse to tell her as I don't want to listen to her yammer about it for forever. I actually just had to change our outbound flight. They put us on the last connecting flight that doesn't get in until 11:30pm. So now we are coming in at 8pm.

What I can't believe is that they charge $6/seat for confirmed seats. That's insane!!!

What day do you arrive? DS has no school on 10/10, so I will have DS and Princess during the day. We never did get around to buying Tut tickets. Anyway, we'll definitely have to plan something fun while you guys are here!

Princess had fun playing and swimming with Susan's boys. She is asleep now. :)

Glynis - The past 2 migraines I have had (over a year apart) were the flashing lights/headache kind with no throwing up. But yesterday was the first time I have had the weird speech stuff. I knew what I wanted to say but I couldn't get the words out, which is what happens to my friend who had a stroke! And some of the words were kind of slurred. I'm not sure if that is even a migraine thing, which is why I thought I might call the Dr. But it did resolve within about 2 hours of when the flashing/neon-y vision thing started so who knows. :confused3
Sounds like things are coming together for Peanut's arrival! :thumbsup2

AAA just sent us a special offer for NASCAR tickets for the Sept 14th race in Loudon, NH. $160 value for $60. The problem is that we are camping that weekend and it is the Halloween Weekend that the kids absolutely love. So I guess we could get up really early and bring our camper home or maybe bring it home late Saturday night after the activities are over :confused3 We do need to decide quickly since it is limited. What to do...What to do?

Chanon,

Thank you so much!!! You're awesome!!!!

See? www.callchanonatworktomorrow.com seems to come in handy huh? :teeth: :rotfl:

I just got a secret shopper at my desk and won $50! That totally made my day today. It was regarding American Express and the "travel wallet" that we should recommend to people traveling.

Also got a text from Anne Marie:
we r at mk it is packed damn free dining haha sophie was picked at pirate tutorial she was so excited

So today has been another "I'm not in jail" so it must be a good day. I just had to tell somebody that she just couldn't be a front desk volunteer. She has absolutely no social boundaries. My newest co-worker is going around pissed at everybody:confused3 espescially me (could be because I have chosen to make stuff that isn't my responsibility, not my responsibility;) ). I've also been put in the middle again of a stupid personnel issue that's been going on for almost 2 years:headache:

Okay....for a little perspective God just sent me a gentleman who just lost his wife and needed a comfort. :guilty:

hi everyone--back from orientation day 2---no news yet but i will know tonight or tomorrow as there is a meeting in the district tonight.
But i made some friends in orientation and i feel more comfortable, so for now, im happy!

I'm glad you're happy...the waiting is killing me :upsidedow I hope you hear tonight verses tomorrow. This has been a long wait for you :wizard:

Jen - Just think, if you never get a teaching job you can apply for a job WAITING for something! You can offer to wait for things for people! Phone calls, test results, repairmen, if you have to wait for it, Jen is your girl!

I guess I should get ready for work. I really don't feel like going, but hopefully we'll be busy and I'll adjust:upsidedow

What a skill to have :)

Well, I spent yesterday washing all the 0-3 month baby clothes and getting them put in the dresser. It felt good to do something for Peanut! Alan is picking up paint for the boys room today, and I'll start painting soon. I say I will, but it will probably really turn into Alan doing it. Paint fumes and I are not friends!

Today I need to do the laundry for the rest of the family that I neglected yesterday. Oh well. It's always something, right?

:yay: for getting all of Peanut's clothes washed and put away. Let Alan paint while you supervise!

We arrive on Thursday Oct 16th. Joe bought tickets to the Tut exhibit for Friday morning at 10am. That's one of the reasons I didn't want to be on the last arriving flight in case we ran into problems.

We'll have to set something up for Saturday! We leave Sunday afternoon.

Sounds like a deal too good to pass up. Eric is going to Dover, I think it's the end of Sept, on free tickets!! He's very excited.

Lots of :wizard: :wizard: headed your way.

Jen - Just think, if you never get a teaching job you can apply for a job WAITING for something! You can offer to wait for things for people! Phone calls, test results, repairmen, if you have to wait for it, Jen is your girl!

You know I certainly pay for that service! Really though Jen I hope you find out tonight. :wizard:

I guess I should get ready for work. I really don't feel like going, but hopefully we'll be busy and I'll adjust:upsidedow

:wizard: for lots and lots of people and good tips!

Robyn - Ah! You are going to be here the week after DS is off for Fair Day. Which is good, because otherwise Tut would be PACKED with locals! Talk to Joe and see what you guys are interested in doing. I'm sure we can pull something together!

I wrote a check for DS's PE uniform this morning, but OF COURSE it is cash only. The coach told DS too many people write bad checks and the district can't collect on them, so it's cash only. Right. Why didn't I think of that?

DS also came home telling me some huge line of jibberish about band. The director asked him if he could tell me, and DS said NO, so now I have to wait for an e-mail from the band director before I know what I need to do about instruments. I could get very old waiting for that e-mail. Oh, Jen! I have a job for you! :rotfl2:

Tut and lunch are the only things on our agenda so far. I did want to take Emma to the American Girl bistro so that may be something we do after Tut. We did the JFK thing when I visited him last time and I am sure Emma would love that but I am not doing it again. Maybe we'll just go see the "X"'s in the street!! Any suggestions.

Emma brought home all her paperwork for band/strings. She really wants to play the cello and cannot understand why Eric and I keep telling her no. I don't think it will fit in her room and it sure as heck won't fit in the van when every single seat is filled.

So after looking in the classroom today, IF I get this job i need to do some shopping! There is almost no dramatic play stuff so I need to buy some dress up clothes, dolls, cars, and i want to get a car rug. Plus I need to buy some more puzzles and manipulatives. and a ton of stickers! So hopefully i find out tomorrow--if not, im taking elizabeths job of waiting !

I am not good at suggesting stuff to do. I am good at showing up to what other people plan! :rotfl2: Of course I LOVE to eat and shop. DS likes museums, zoo, aquarium, that kind of stuff. Or he likes bowling, mini-golf, that kind of thing, too.

I started playing cello in 7th grade. I loved it. I mean LOVED it. I wanted DS to play but he defies me. You shouldn't have to take it back and forth - you should have one at school and one at home. The problem is keeping the one at home tuned properly. I would have kept playing all through high school but my lovely high school had no string program.

ill take it--now ...what should i charge ;)

Oh, I am sorry. Waiting for the band director to e-mail is an internship where you gain valuable experience to put on your resume. No salary. ;)

Love all the first day of school pics. Tammi I love the pic of Nicholas in his football gear.
