DDA Chapter 11

I think it's because I know this is my last child. When I had the others, we were not at a place, financially, that I could really do what I wanted to with the nursery. Now that we're a bit more stable, I really want to make this special for Peanut. It's helping the other kids, too, as they are giving input and helping to make the room ready for him. It's kind of bittersweet, though, in a way!

I think it's great, for your whole family! I can understand how bittersweet, though. I certainly don't want another yet, but am not sure we'll try again so I feel like everything I do is bittersweet! Of course, I am a bit emotional.... :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

You should have come on, we could have chatted! ;)

I hope you find a better sleep routine with these adjustments!

Colby is tired too. He usually comes home from school tired. I plan to take full advantage and have a little nap :rolleyes1 I'm sure I will feel a lot better after a little sleep. So far no caffeine today. I'm sticking to water and crystal light.

I'll add the school concerns to my prayers for your family. You sound so upbeat about this job and move. I'm taking it that your whole family feels good about it? Keep us posted so we can do what we can for you!
Thank you Glynis...Yes the whole family is pretty excited..we are just trying to not to get too anxious as things are not finalized yet. Also we need to make some trips down there to see what is the best location for us. I know relatively nothing about NC.

Deb,
Good luck getting some rest tonight.

Usually I am asleep before I hit the pillow!:lmao:

I'm very impressed! Do you have a headache? I hope the rest of your day without goes well! :wizard:

Ok, sorry to bust out all the video links apparently! :rotfl:

This is totally random, but I had to share with someone! If you're bored, check out this "trailer" from a friend of mine's wedding. The videographer hasn't finished yet because he has "too much good footage" (rough problem to have, no?) but I think it's going to be ridiculous!!! I want to plan a wedding again!

Stephanie - I'm so glad things are looking well for you dad! He sounds as energetic as you.

Glynis - Sounds like the room is really coming along wonderfully. Can't wait to see it.

Deb - Hope you start sleeping better soon.

Tammi - The kids look great! I hope they enjoyed their first day.

Anne Marie - Good luck finding the right place and schools for your family.

A sign that you've been on the DISboards too long...

...you see the initials ABD on a dance floor and you immediately think of Adventures by Disney.
:teeth: :rotfl:

Great video clip!

Oh yeah, but I usually have a headache at some point each day anyway. Allegies suck. I'm not sure if todays is different than any other though.

Wow. Very impressive.

Thank you, I will mail a check tomorrow.

Thanks!

Deb - I hope your headache isn't too horrible! I absolutely can NOT go without caffeine. I went without during my first trimester of pregnancy, and I went without for the 5 months that I nursed, but now I wouldn't think of going without!

I had 2 cups of coffee this morning (out of the BIG DVC mug Kristine sent me ;) ) and I had a diet Dr. Pepper with lunch.

Because of my sleep or lack of sleep issues, I'm willing to give it up. I really hope that this helps me sleep. The only time that I get a good nights sleep is at WDW because I'm on the run for so long I just crash. My life here is no where near as hectic. Supposedly, you can also lose weight quicker if you give up soda entirely. I always drink diet, but hopefully weight loss and sleep will make up for giving it up :confused3 If it doesn't help I can always pick up a soda and enjoy :goodvibes

I didn't lose SQUAT when I gave up soda entirely. Now I drink maybe one diet soda a day, sometimes none.

Hi guys! I feel like I am out of it physically and mentally lately. I also got the "Worst Dad of the Year" award yesterday.:sad2:

This sinus thing is just not going away.:scared: Even with the round of antibiotics I got, it is still in full force. My whole face hurts. Any tooth that I have had any work on in my life is zinging with pain. I am having a hard time concentrating on anything!
This heat and humidity aren't helping either! Work has been miserable with temperatures reaching close to 140 degrees in the plant. The vents that used to bring in fresh air were closed a couple of months ago because they found a few mold spores near them. So it has been really crappy lately.

Since Monday was a holiday and no school, I got very little sleep. Leighanna is used to her new schedule and promptly woke me up at nine. I had about 2 hours sleep in a 48 hour time period. Yesterday after dropping Leighanna off at school I promptly fell asleep and forgot to set the alarm. Of course I didn't have the phone nearby and I overslept, leaving Leighanna at school all by herself.
The school did get in touch with my wife who desperately tried to wake me via the phone. But I just slept through it. She ended up posting a sign on her door at work and ran home to wake me up. I quickly got dressed and ran to the school. I was only about a half hour late, but I still felt like such a failure.
We still beat the bus home though.
Leighanna wasn't upset, but I sure was!
I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth, but I sure do feel like it!

To add to my headache...Hunter came home with books that need to be covered. Of course we don't have enough large fabric covers so he now has one covered with a DisneyStore plastic bag:rotfl:

Nick apparently needs photos for a collage and he needs them TODAY. He knew about it yesterday, when I didn't have to work, but he forgot to mention it. I think I printed enough, he may not like some of them, but really it's his fault since I'm on a tight time constraint and I can't possibly sort through all the files of photos ;)

Now I need to get ready for work

Tom - Don't beat yourself up. DH has fallen asleep and been late to get DS. One day I was at the mall with Brother when the school called to say there were no afternoon enrichment classes. Sister was there with her teacher, waiting for someone to come get her. Well, that would have been useful info BEFORE pick-up time! The school was very understanding, but Sister rode my butt about it for weeks!
I hope you feel better soon!

Deb - Have a good night at work! :wizard:
