DDA Chapter 10

Hello all! I finally got a text message around 6:30 last night that I didn't have to go to work this week. Just the time I need to get stuff ready for our trip. Of course, this morning we spent that time playing at the mall and now I'm here, but hey, why not. ;) Actually, it was nice cause Terra and I had coffee and muffins at Bread Co, played at the play area, checked out the Disney stuff at the Scrapbook store so that we could finalize plans for her autographs this time and rode one of the rides. Now she's playing with Kassie and Connor so I've got some time to work here (of course, they're really noisy behind me so maybe I won't get much done). I also still don't know quite what to do for her autographs, but we'll figure that out. The Winkflash flat rate sale ends on Wed so I might spend part of tonight and tomorrow trying to put a book together for her.

Tia, I spent a whole weekend making an autograph book back in November, thinking that was a great deal. Unfortunately, the pictures in my book were so dark, I asked for a refund. Maybe it was a fluke and/or maybe my digital pictures were a bit dark to begin with, but I was very disappointed, because there was no time to make a new book. I hope you have a better experience!

I was stunned and amazed to hear Bob wish me a "Happy Anniversary" this morning... he usually forgets! We will go out to dinner tomorrow night because the two restaurants we were considering are both closed on Mondays!

Hope you have a great dinner!

We might celebrate our anniversary at The Cheesecake Factory on Wednesday (reminder: $1.50 slices!).

Thanks for all the happy anniversary wishes, everyone!

Amy -- I'm amazed at how much you are doing with a newborn and two other young kids. Please take care and don't overdo it.

We went from there yesterday to meet my family for a birthday dinner for my brother (April 5th -- that's far how we are behind in celebrating family birthday's) and my sister had to leave from dinner to go to the emergency room. She's fine -- a new arthritis medicine is tearing up her stomach -- but I took her two home from the dinner. Needless to say, I didn't get much cleaned/put away from our week of baseball and hotel stays. Will (the almost one-year-old ended up getting mad at me. I was trying to get him to sleep, and Hallie kept coming in and waking him up. I finally convinced her to stay out until he went to sleep, but then he was wide awake. He kept throwing his pacy, and when I told him no, he burst in to tears because I hurt his feelings. I felt a tidge guilty, but he quickly went to sleep after that. It's been too long since I've had a one-year-old and three-year-old to take care of. One good thing -- I missed dinner as I was feeing both of them, and I'd been eating so bad because of the week of baseball that it was a good thing. I was still up two pounds on the scale this morning...

Have a great day everyone!

Thanks Marci! :)

Getting out of the house is the only way I know how to keep my sanity, though going to Kings Island with 11 family members nearly put me over the edge. ;)

You take care, too! And, don't worry, one-year-olds don't hold grudges. :goodvibes

Pardon my random posts, but Noah is going through that lovely "I will only stay sleeping if you hold me" stage. I'm back to typing one-handed for a while.

Thinking of you all! :grouphug:

Tia - YAY for having a week off!
Has Momboss snapped out of her funk or is she still being weird?

Jen - Ugh! Waiting! :headache: I hope you get a call back!! :wizard:

She's snapped out of it for the most part, but she still has her moments. However, I do see her treating the older girls the same way as she does me so I know it's not just me. I just feel bad for the girls when she gets like that. She's a loan officer and had some really good days at work with a few loans come in and they are getting close to closing so maybe knowing there's a good paycheck in the future will help settle her some too.

I remember you saying that now and that's why I didn't rush to finish a book last time the offer was made. Maybe I'll stick with one of the other ideas then as it would take a good part of my week off to get it done.

So I am back from the doctor. It was a waste of time but I got the referral. All they did was listen to my heart and lungs. Talk my pulse and blood pressure. Plus they collected general medical information. They also looked at the x-rays I brought along.

Terra lived in that stage for the better part of a year. Luckily, as the only one I was able to endulge and enjoy a few naps myself. I hope Noah exits the phase as quickly as he entered. :wizard:

Becky sorry to hear you are having such hassles with the dr's. Hope you can been seen tomorrow!

Tia :cool1: for having the week off!

Jen :wizard: for a call back!

Elizabeth glad you found someone to take care of princess Friday.

Elin did I miss wishing you & Bob a Happy anniversary?

Well, at least you are moving in the right direction now. I hope the ortho can get you on the road to recovery!

Happy anniversary, Bob and Elin!!

Hi, Janet! Shouldn't you be PACKING? :rolleyes1

We are home now, I will post pictures soon of the area that we went through that is still flooded. I feel so bad for everyone that has lost their homes :(

I had to run a couple of errands once we got back & finally got the boys hair cut, Garrett actually has eyes that I can see now :rotfl: I also found some more clothes on clearance, so I should be all set for the trip :thumbsup2 I now have everything that is on my packing list except batteries for our small fans & my earplanes.

I also set up all the bills that will be due while I am away to be automatically paid. There are only two that I will have to pay as soon as we return.

I do have a funny story to tell from this morning. After Garrett got out of the shower he was complaining that the shampoo did not work very well. I asked him what he used & he said shampoo & conditioner that the hotel provided. I told him our stuff was on the counter & he should have used that. Anyway I got to looking at what he had used & busted out laughing. I told him to show me which bottle he used for shampoo & it was lotion  So he used lotion thinking it was shampoo :rotfl: :lmao:

Needless to say he took another shower when we got home & this time used shampoo :rotfl2:

Becky - good luck with the ortho.

Elin - Happy Anniversary. Where are you going for dinner? I saw yourBob yesterday around 1:30, driving YOUR new car! He was pulling out of the Bloom lot onto Ferry Rd.

Jen - we will wait right along with you! :wizard:

Jen - Glad the interview seemed to go well. Loads of :wizard: for a call back for Friday.

Becky - Glad you're at least on the path for tomorrow.

Elizabeth - I'm happy that Friday is now set for you. One less thing to worry about!

Poor Garrett! :rotfl2:
That's kind of like the day DH took DS to the orthodontist. The toothbrushes are pre-pasted, but DH told DS to put some stuff from the pump on the toothbrush. It was SOAP! :scared1:

Since we have decided to keep DS mostly on his same schedule of Focalin that we do during the school year, we need a refill before we leave. His Dr. is out of the office. :headache: Luckily another Dr. in the group signed a refill for us. DH picked up the prescription (the paper part) and dropped it off at Sam's, but they told him it would be a 45 minute wait so he didn't stick around. At least now we just have to go back to Sam's and grab it!

I guess I'll do a load of laundry when I get home. I want to pack DS's new shorts, and I only left him 4 pairs of underwear to get through the week so now he is down to 2 clean pairs. I was a bit overzealous in packing his shorts and underwear. :lmao:

Deb - Do you guys live anywhere near a Harley-Davidson store? Long story I will tell if the answer is "yes"

Elin,

Does it have to be one near Deb or will any one do? I am real close to about three stores and the Plant right across the river.

Yea it was pretty funny

I do feel bad for your ds son though, yuck :scared:
