How fun, have a great time!

So..........on my first day back to work there was a huge traffic back-up in my honor. I certainly didn't miss that.

what can I do to take the owie out of a bee sting?? Abi got a mild sting this evening.

toothpaste. Not gel, but paste :thumbsup2

I knew it was someone on here that had Jill in my head..my cousin and i had the garmin and were talking about naming it ! haha..i said for some reason Jill was sticking out...But our garmin's name is...carmen

We had plenty of time to experiment with ALL of the voices. In the end we chose Jill. Some of the voices were amusing. Listening to the foreign languages got us prepared for WDW. Does anyone speak English anymore?:confused3

Good morning. :)

I stayed up entirely too late last night reading Harry Potter. I have one more chapter to go, but I HAD to go to sleep. Plus after staying up late for the past several weeks, it's going to be difficult to transition back to an earlier bedtime.

Isn't the last book amazing? We all loved it. Now I find myself wanting to rent all the DVDs that are available to run through the whole epic.

Our cat is still mad at us. I had one garbage bag left on the laundry room floor. Just rain covers. I found a nice little puddle of pee on it this morning. :headache: Now that the laundry pile is gone I have to wonder where he'll act out next? I wish that I knew what to do about it as I certainly won't put up with that for long.

I don't know. I'm reading Chamber of Secrets! :rotfl:

Most of the stores around here are having their school supply sales this week. Staples, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart. I didn't know if any of you are having the same sales or even need the supplies. We'll be hitting them later.

Tammi,
What a cute video!!
Good luck on your first day back.

Deb,
My kids school bags are packed & by the door. We hit Walmart last week when alot of stuff was 10-22 cents. I bought a tinkerbell packpack for Sophie on clearance in January for $2 & the lunch box for $1 so she is set. Katie has her Abercrombie tote from last year. Daniel's supplies are provided by his school (for a fee of course. ) so he is all set..I don't even want to think about school right now!!! When do your kids go back? Mine go back the Wednesday after Labor day.:sad1:

Elin,
Love your Mii!!!!

Let me just tell you this again...I HATE UNITED AIRLINES!!!

My head is going to blow off my body....I will NEVER NEVER NEVER fly on them again!!!

Well, I just got a phone call from Bob. He actually went out of his office so we could talk about the December trip. He wants AKL all the way.

I also just answered the phone from our bank. Kristin had applied there for a teller's position that has her name written all over it. Work hours are M-F 12-6 and every 4th Saturday. That would allow her to pursue acting jobs too. They wanted to talk to her to set up an interview. Luckily they know me because I was able to set one up on Monday for her. Otherwise, since she doesn't get back from the beach until Sunday they would not have been able to talk to her until Monday and that may have been too late!

I think I cannot make any reservations now until she has that interview. It is possible that her work schedule won't permit any time off around the holidays. So, I will continue to plan. And then when I know more, I will contact Chanon.

I'm glad you were able to get the ADRs you wanted. We arrive on 12/27. Are you still in WDW then?

Sending prayers for the job. Sounds like it would be perfect!

Biopsy was negative!!!!!:cool1:  I knew as soon as the PA came in instead of the dr! I got on the highway and the traffic was backed up 60 minutes due to road work and Cape traffic so I had to get off and ended up on the same road I got lost on last night-how wierd is that? I haven't been on that road in over 3 years. But I found my way and we are both so relieved and now I WILL put the Garmin in my car this weekend!!!!

!

Congrats! That is terrific news!

Now, I'll be too paranoid to ever post again! :rotfl:

Hi, all! We made it too St. Louis and saw the Arch. Tia, sorry I didn't connect with you last night, but all of a sudden, it was so late. We did make a quick run to Ted Drewes, but we were all so tired and not really hungry that we didn't enjoy it as much as we probably would have. Today we head out to Salina, KS and then on to Colorado Springs.

My doctor said that there are people that routinely have blood in their urine and I may be one. He does need to rule a few things out first. I am scheduled for an abdominal/pelvic CT on 8/11 to rule out kidney stones, cancer, and a few genetic conditions. He looked back through my records and noted that there was blood in my urine back in 2002 (that they did nothing about at the time), so I feel pretty confident that it's nothing. Also, I needed to make an appointment for a PAP since it's been so long. At that appointment I'll get a referral for a mammogram which I'm also past due on.

I don't really have much time to read now, so please PM me if there is anything that I need to know. I hope everyone is doing well!

Have a great time and safe travels. I'm glad you are going to get more tests just to make sure everything is okay.

A brief update on my Mom.

She is out of the hospital, and back in the nursing home. She has been moved to a more skilled nursing section and is doing pretty well. She is just frustrated that she can't remember much from the last month,(I told her that was a GOOD thing!:) ) and that she can't talk well and swallow at all. She misses eating and drinking but has found out that she isn't really hungry anyway. Hopefully once she gets a little stronger, she will have PT to see if she can get any of her swallowing ablilty back. But for now she is stable, and on the mend.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers! They really helped us get through this!

Continued PD and prayers for your Mom and for you.

Sorry if TMI
Okay so yesterday morning at 600 Jeff has left for work already when Virginia decides to puke all over me and the bed. She sleeps most of the day. Around 3pm she pukes again, then nothing else.

Fast forward to this morning at 6 we are in the car on the way to my moms to drop the girls off so I can go to work. We are sitting at a red light when she pukes again. This time we also have it out the other end as well. So I had to call in to work. It took me about 30 minutes to get her and the car seat somewhat cleaned up to put her back in for the ride back home.

She slept for 2hrs was awake for about an 1hr 45 minutes and just went back to sleep.
Okay back to your regular chats

I hope she is better!

Honeys,,,,im home!! What a fantastic trip!!!! Im exhausted today of course! I loved meeting Deb, Chris, and the boys. We spent some time with them in Epcot and it was like we had known them forever. So i am all unpacked...laundry is in...email is deleted...i am caught up here..I am going to get some pictures on here and watch the shows i DVRed !

Cute pics! I thought your hair looked great!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been on yesterday.

So the last couple of days have been really odd for me. I went to Costco yesterday and as I was walking around, I got really hot and dizzy. Sweat was just pouring off me. I must have looked ghastly because several people stopped me to ask if I was ok. I somehow got to my car and drove home. It's amazing that I made it! By the time I got home, the world was spinning, and I had trouble making it to the front door. I literally collapsed into bed and didn't wake up until about 3:00 in the afternoon. It was so odd! I was fine after that.

Then, this morning, the kids asked me to make chocolate chip pancakes, and the same thing happened again. We've had the hottest days of the summer here the last few days, so I'm hoping that the heat, along with not drinking enough water has me dizzy. Alan has put me on "bedrest" I'm not allowed up at all today. We are supposed to go to dinner and a play tonight, so we'll see how it goes.

I'm glad the rest of the weekend went well. Please take care!

I worked today..surprisingly slow for a Saturday so it made the day feel longer than it was. After that we went to Chili's for dinner. Dana is up for a promotion in NC. I hate to even think about it because it would mean uprooting the kids & everything. We need to do more research anyway..I would need to find a school for Daniel similair to what he has now..also I know nothing about NC. (except that you can get alot of house for the money)

PD and prayers for the right decision for your family.

I guess 2000 is a good place to say good night, thanks for all the conversations!

Congrats!

Yesterday was a long day as I had feared, but I enjoyed it! I got up at 4:45am & was at work before 6am. Got as much work done as possible & headed to Riley's 1st game at noon. We had about an hour & a half breather before the next game so we came home. Riley had a bite to eat & I took a 1/2 hour nap :)

Back out to the park at 3pm & they played 2 games back to back, finally made it over to mil's a little after 8pm. I was not able to stay long as I had to get back to work to finish up a few things. It was nice meeting Tobbe's friends from Sweden though. Made it home a little after 10pm, ate a sandwich, took a shower & that was that :rotfl:

Besides practice, Riley & his team have no more games till next weekend. Now I need to find a hotel for the night as they will be playing Saturday & Sunday & the drive is about 2 hours away.

It was so humid out yesterday, I do not know how I am going to handle this in Florida

I hope Riley played well. I think it was very smart of you to get a room for next weekend.

FYI, the Karen you all are wishing a Happy Birthday is Karebear1.

I was confused because I knew "our" Karen (lovespoohbear) has a January birthday like me!

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Today is Paula's birthday though!

Happy Birthday Paula!

Hope you all are having a magical time at Disneyland!!!

Ditto!

Great pics! I especially loved the ones of the kids at CM, the barber pole after haircuts, and the parasailing pics!

Here's the little video I made of Alyssa's camp. I shrunk the file size. It's really nothing major, and you can fast-forward through the puppet show, as it's rather boring. And the screaming baby in the background was rather annoying and distracting to the kids. She finally wised up and took him out, after a few dirty looks.

Very cute! I love how she just marches on out, no worries, not bashful at all leading the group!

I got an email from my brother who lives in Japan. He is trying to get a job in Tampa. He'd be there early next year. That would be cool.

Wow -- that would be awesome!

Tammi - Yay for talking things out with Bob! Boo for going back to work! I only have 9 working days left, but I bet they will drag.

My back is really not good. I must have lifted or reached or something too much today. :sad2:

I hope your back is better and that whatever was going on with the dryer gets fixed today, as well as the alarm.

And here we are, as of tonight:

Elin -- I thought about you on Sunday morning. We were walking through the hotel to breakfast around 8:45, when a guy came in the front door with a Target bag and a Wii Fit in it. I was so jealous! My SIL went out a little later and did check on one for me but they were all gone. Your mii is cute!

so Elizabeth and Marci,
what are some fun and inexpensive things to do in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area. Because of T.S. Dolly we might not get to go to the beach this Fri. to Mon. Olivia thinks that is our "Vacation" So we need to do some fun stuff. Not really wanting to go to Waco as we have already done the Zoo their.

Jennifer -- I see Elizabeth filled you in. I hope you get to go to the beach, but if not, let me know if I can help in any way. The Dallas World Acquarium is pricey but it's my boys' favorite!

Let me just tell you this again...I HATE UNITED AIRLINES!!!

My head is going to blow off my body....I will NEVER NEVER NEVER fly on them again!!!

Are you flying them for your cruise? Did everything get resolved? I'm afraid to look at the flights for our long weekend beach get away in a couple of weeks...

What in the world got into you all this weekend? Was there a contest for the most pages posted or something! It's been ages since there were so many pages to catch up on. :goodvibes My eyes are tired and I can't remember a whole lot of what I read but I read it.

Welcome Back Jen and Deb!!! Deb your pictures are great and Jen I want the link to yours. I'll PM you my email.

Bernadette- :yay:  for Negative!!

Beth- I am glad you all are enjoying your trip and that you got yourself to the dr.s.

Jennifer- I read your blog and you are absolutely in my prayers. And :yay: on 5 hours!!

Glynis- I am glad you are feeling better. What a great DH Alan was to insist you take it easy.

Elizabeth- I am sorry your back is acting up. I am glad to hear that your mom isn't feeling too terrible. :wizard: that it stays that way.

Tom- I am happy to hear a good report on your mom. Enjoy your time off.

Tammi- I am glad you and Bob are working through the troubles.

Anne Marie- I kow that you and Dana will make the best decision for your family. The upside is you'd be closer to Disney and with the lower cost of living you could go more often!!

Terry and Steffy- Your weekend sounded like a ton of fun!!!

Vicki- I hope it works out for you brother to move to Florida.

Jennifer- Hope Virginia is feeling better.

Tia- I hope you can work through the issues at work.

Theresa- Have fun today at the zoo! Glad Abi and you are feeling better. Molly got stung by a wasp this weekend and we used the baking soda paste and it worked wonders!!

Elin- Glad you are enjoying the Wii Fit. Mario Kart is our next game purchase. We got Cooking Mama Cook Off but haven't had a chance to play much. The girls love playing it on their DS so I hope they'll enjoy it. I love your Mii, I think it's a good representation of you. :thumbsup2

Heidi- I have no balance or coordination but it's so much fun Wii-ing (as Elin put it). And since you're in the comfort of your own home I don't care if I look like an idiot!!

For those I missed :wizard: and 's all around.

I have been back and forth all morning and have been on hold for an hour

Are you flying them for your cruise? Did everything get resolved? I'm afraid to look at the flights for our long weekend beach get away in a couple of weeks...

Kristine, hope you can get it worked out soon. :wizard:

Kristine-sorry about the airline troubles

Robyn--ill send them as soon as i get your PM--its going to be from snapfish!

I don't mean to sound disrespectful...but I can not believe how I can't seem to get help from UAL from a person who speaks even remotely well the English language
