DD8 has a headache....

DD8 just walked by me to get a drink with her hand on the top of her head.

I said- whats wrong with your head?

"i have a serious headache"

Really, whats that from?

"I'm not sure but its serious"

what other kind of headache is there?

"the kind you fake to go to the nurse when you dont want to take a test"

oh i see- but this ones serious?

'yeah, serious serious"

you sure its not the kind you fake when you dont want to go to bed?

"ugh mom, why do you always figure me out like that"

I get bad stress headaches, so I was about to type something like that.

I always had stomachaches instead of headaches but I never fooled my mom either!

I get really bad stress headaches- which is actually why I asked her what was wrong with her head...knowing she's my drama queen I sort of expected her to pull something like this.

She's the one that self diagnosed "her tonsils are really really swollen, she cant swallow and must stay home from school for a week" only to be reminded that she had her tonsils removed at age 3, and they could not be swollen! That sore throat went away in about 15 seconds.

A good friend of mine started getting headaches around age 12- puberty induced I believe- and she would literally be out of school because of them. I sure hope my girls never go through that, because they were awful for her.
