So we are going to DL to celebrate my DD 10th birthday. My question is, we are going to be in the parks two days before she turns ten, and then five days after her birthday, so can I still purchase the childrens parkhopper which is ages 3-9, as well as the other things we do such as WOC dinner, Hall. party, etc. since our arrival is before her actual birthday? I certainly don't want to break any rules, but if I can save some money that would be nice too!

Thanks,

Traci

From what I understand, and I'm sure someone here will know for sure, is that you pay the price for the age they are when you buy the ticket. So for this trip you would pay a childs rate and for the next an adult.

As long as she's still 9 when she starts using the ticket, she's officially still a child under Disney's rules. Happy Birthday to her!

Thats right bob. I should have said when you use the ticket, not buy it:goodvibes

Thanks to both of you for the quick response! Now I've been thinking, as far as the character things and the Halloween Party, what if those events are on days after she has turned ten? Obviously some of them will be during the first two days when she is 9, but some of them will be after she is 10. Do they go by the Parkhopper ticket or are they all unrelated? Make sense?

Thanks,

Buy a child's multi-day parkhopper for the duration of your entire trip. Then, as for other things, she's a child since you have a valid, child's ticket. The Halloween Party could the one where ethically one could argue that you should purchase an adult's ticket as it is a separately ticketed event.
