DD is having exploratory surgery tomorrow. She's been in a lot of pain recently. The doctor suspects endometriosis, but the only way to tell for sure is by surgery. It would answer a lot of questions.

I have had surgery for endo twice and if this is what she has she will have immediate relief. She will have a lot of gas pumped into her tummy so they can explore. The best thing she can do is to avoid, pop, beans or any other foods that produce gas. This gas pain should go away in 3 days and laughing is out. It will hurt to laugh so no comedy shows for her.

Prayers and many positive thoughts sent out to your daughter and you.

If she is having it done laparoscopically have her sit up when she gets home and not worry terribly if she has bad pains in her shoulder/collar bone area, its the gas rising and escaping due to the abdomen being inflated. Warm drinks and lemon tea can be very helpful! Ginger Ale too!

I had the same surgery except they burned out my endo (and polyps). She'll be fine after a few days, actually better!!

I had the surgery and it helped. I agree with Shelley in post 19- no gassy foods. Her body will need a few days to dissipate the gas.
