Wednesday night- DD8 lost a tooth.

Thursday morning she said to me as she was walking down the hallway- "I know who the tooth fairy is"..

I ignored her.. LOL

This morning the DD's are at the table having breakfast and she looks at me and says "So, what DO you do with all those teeth you take?"

DD7 looks at me like she has NO clue what DD8 is talking about.. and I say

"I dont take teeth, I've got my own"..

DD8 says in a typical 8 year old I've figured out the world tone

"Well, dont try to pull the wool over my eyes- I KNOW your the tooth fairy"

I just look at her- and without time for me to reply she says...

"Its okay mom, you can be the tooth fairy, just as long as you dont try to tell me your Santa Claus, cause there's no way you could be him too"

LOL she thinks she's sooooooo smart!

DD7 just looked at her and said "no way Goo, I would wake up if a real person took my tooth from my pillow, must be the fairy"

LOL

awww...that's so cute!

since they are at that "touchy" age where they are sharp on everything - keep this in mind.

I was about that age when I noticed that Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, AND the Tooth Fairy all had the same handwriting. (they all left us notes)

I think I went up to my mom once and said "hey mom - why don't you have DAD write some of the notes next time?" hehehehe

LOL! That's a really cute story.

DH has always acted in the Tooth Fairial capacity (teeth sort of gross me out). So when DD8 asked me last month if I was the tooth fairy, I could honestly say "no."

I sort of hope that this is the last year she believes in Santa Clause...I'm longing for the day where I can tell my kids that they can't change their list after December 1st! (Have you had the experience where it's about Decmeber 23rd and your child is sitting on Santa's lap, saying that what they want most of all is some thing that they didn't even put on their list?!)

Too cute :)

When my brother found out about S.C. he burst into tears "that's why I didn't get the Buck Rogers underwear that I wanted!"

too cute!!

my parents confused the heck out of me one year. i was at that age (around 7) where i began questioning santa. it was christmas eve and my mom came in and woke me up...she hurried me and my sister out to the hallway where we peeked around the corner. we saw santa at the tree emptying his bag of presents! but what threw me...mom was right next to me and dad was sleeping on the couch!!!!! i was so confused for years because of that...lol
