Hi, my mother is diabetic and we know from travelling the other way to WDW that we had to get a letter (on headed notepaper) from our doctor detailing her condition and her medication that should ensure permission to take insulin on the aircraft to Paris. We have never had a problem with lost insulin but I have needed to see a doctor in WDW and Disney there always have a number of a doctor you can arrange to see and I would imagine that it is the same in Disneyland Paris and if you carry the letter from your doctor it will assist you in getting a prescription.

By the way nobody has ever asked to see the letter from the doctor, but it is in the advice given by the british government for people travelling with medication and we always believe better safe than sorry. We would hate to have to leave mother's insulin behind.

We always carry my mother's medication in the hand luggage (and guard it with our lives) and then we lock it in the room safe as soon as we arrive. You can never be too careful.

If you are not staying at Disney I'm sure the front desk of your hotel should be able to assist you in finding a doctor that will write a prescription for you.

If you take a prescription with you I am not to sure how you would go about having it filled.

Hope you all have a good time.

thank you bump

I'd suggest to contact your embassy or consulate in Paris (or the French consulate in the US) and ask any question about foreigners health care in France, what to do in case of emergencies, and so on. You are not an EU citizen so laws may be different for you and you may be charged for some treatment.

great suggestion. We live close to DC. So, I'll have to stop in next time we're there & ask.
