We have reservations for Thanksgiving dinner with the princesses at Akershus, and my daughters are going to be dressed up with their costumes for it. My plan is to go to DTD in the morning, go back to the resort and then go to Epcot around 1pm to tour Epcot until 6:30 for our AR. My question is : do you think I should get them dressed from our hotel room for the rest of the day at Epcot or should I bring the costumes with me and change their cloth for Akershus? DD4 is going as Jasmine so it's pretty comfortable, but DD3 is going as Mulan and I'm not sure she'll be comfortable with the long dress for long hours.
Last trip was different because we did breakfast, so it was easier. For CRT they left the hotel all dressed up and after breakfast and a couple of rides at Fantasyland, I changed their clothes.
Any one had this same situation?

Similar situation. We had lunch at CRT and the girls wanted to dress up. They wore short/Tshirts to the park in the morning, then changed into their princess dresses for lunch, then changed back to shorts after lunch. We were lucky we did it this way, not just for comfort, but we got caught in a downpour right before lunch. Luckily, I had the dresses in plastic bags, so they stayed dry. Had the girls been wearing them, they would have been drenched. It didn't take long to change their clothes, and was worth it, IMO.

Have fun!

My DD's NEVER want to take their costumes off. We always bring a change of clothes, but have never used them as they would prefer to wear the customes and appreciate all the attention they get from characters, CM's, and other guests.

I would leave the option up to your daughter, and have a spare set of clothes ready in case she changes her mind.

i saw a few girls at the parks wearing their princess dresses but very obviously wearing something underneath. IDK if their costumes allow it, but if they could it might be easy to dress them in something that will fit under their dress, and then just pull on the dress whenever they like?

Last year we went to the mnsshp and my dd wanted to be cinderella, however, I made her a tinkerbell costume as well. She ended up wearing the cinderella dress for trick-or-treating at DTD and for our dinner with cinderella and friends at the GF. The tinkerbell costume was set aside for the party, because I went as wendy and my husband went as peter pan. (tights and all! his idea). I did make him some short-shorts witht he jagged edges...no need to show everyone is "goods", if you know what I mean! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Anyway, we always went back to our room to change into the costumes. It is just easier this way. We do not have to carry extra weight by carrying the clothes, and we can wash up and fix hair and make-up too. I made the PS for late enough that we could still spend the majority of the day at the parks.
