I'm so nervous. I applied and passed the web based interview and I had my phone interview last sunday (3/4). Overall, I think my phone interview went okay. I was peppy and told the woman that I was really excited, and that I wanted to work at the most magical place on earth and create amazing experiences for guests. I've heard that people have gotten their acceptances within a few days. I was just wondering how long it typically takes to get an answer? I'm so anxious and I really want to get accepted. Anyone that could help me out is much appreciated. This is something I've had my heart set on for a while and I really don't want to be rejected.

There really isn't any right answer to your question. Some people hear in 5 days and others hear in 3 weeks.

What did your "thank you for interviewing" email say? No matter what, you will hear from Disney by the end of that time frame.

Good Luck!

I got my acceptance in 15 days but I applied the first day and I was in the first round of acceptances. After the first round it seems like people hear faster than that. It's different for everyone but it's usually 1-3 weeks I believe. Some people do get accepted in just a few days but it seems to not be very common. This semester they've been sending out rejections faster than acceptances so waiting isn't always a bad thing. Good luck :)

My "thank you for interviewing" email said that I would hear back within 2 weeks. I still am just really nervous. I know I'm probably worrying for nothing, but I just really want to go!! Haha. Keep your fingers crossed for me please!

it took me 6 days, and my friend 8..it varies for everyone.

But Good Luck to you! :)

No need to be TOO nervous. I found out in 13 days, JUST before the two week mark. They'll definetly tell you something after two weeks, either that you're accepted or not OR that you'll have to wait a bit longer because a TON of people are applying.

Its different for everyone, but don't worry, Disney WILL let you know SOMETHING within two weeks, if it's earlier than that then, WOO! But don't actually start worrying until after the two week mark. :D I know its hard, I was in your shoes (twice actually, the first time I wasn't accepted.) and the waiting game is not a fun game to play. Lol

But good luck! Let us know what happens! :D

So ive done research on the disney college program and every one eles said there wait time was 4 to 6 weeks but the email i got, said it was 2 weeks. is that a bad thing??

You are supposed to hear within 2 weeks. People who said it took longer were either A) misinformed or B) pended and actually had to wait longer.

If you are pended, you will still hear within (or around) 2 weeks.

well, when i did the CP in 2009, all of the accepted applicants got a folder in the mail that did actually end up taking between 4-6 weeks. now though, it seems no one waits more than 2 weeks - more efficient i guess!

My interviewer said 4 weeks to me before I got off the phone :confused3 I heard at two weeks (pended) though

Since they don't do the folders anymore, pretty much everything is through email. That's why they are able to say 2 weeks, now.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and support :) I just checked my email a few minutes ago and I finally got a reply! I got pended and they said I will hear some type of answer by April 25th. Yay more waiting! I hope it's not a bad thing :(

It's not necessarily a bad thing! I had it explained to me that sometimes it takes your recruiter a little extra time to try and find the perfect role for you, based on your personality and answers during your interview.

Good luck! I'm rooting for you :cheer2:

so does that mean that your recruiter, interviewer, and person that place you are all the same person?

The recruiter is usually the College Representative at your school that recruits you. The interviewer is someone down in Florida who does the interview for the College Program. I believe that the person that places you is a group of people, but takes the interviewers notes into prospect.

When tikistitch says 'Recruiter' they probably mean the person/group that places you in your specific role.

Hopefully that clarifies things.

Have a Magical Day! :smickey:

Yep, that's what I mean! I had it explained to me using the word recruiter, but yeah, the people/group who place you in your role after your interview. Sorry for any confusion!

I have another question for everyone. Another reason I'm kind of concerned is because I had a lot of trouble with my college a few semesters ago. Fall of 2010 and Spring of 2011 I ended up doing very poor in school and I ended up getting put on academic probation. I took the Fall of 2011 off and now I'm bac in school this semester. I know they say your grades have to be above a 2.0 GPA to participate, but do they look at your previous semesters or just the semester you're currently in? Because for this semester I have have about a 3.0 and really turned my grades around. But then I was also thinking if they look at your grades from previous semesters I would probably be denied already and not pended. I don't know, now I'm just afraid I won't get accepted just because I'm pended  Anyone know the acceptance rate after you get pended? Thanks everyone!

I don't think they look at grades for the CP. They just ask you to list your university and confirm that you're currently enrolled. So, as long as you're in school when you go to apply, you should be fine.

when i applied for my first cp, i had just started at my school after graduating cum laude with my associates at a different school. the first semester there i got a TERRIBLE gpa! and it put me in bad standing, the next semester i did loads better(and thats when i applied and got in) and while i got above a 3.0 that semester, i was still not over a 2.0(my gpa from the first school didnt factor in) i was still able to participate though :) (and fyi, i am doing much better and back in good standing :D hazzah!)

Okay this is making me feel a lot better haha :) Now I'm playing the waiting game some more because Disney says I wil hear something by April 25th which is WAY too far away :( I hope I get in! And I also hope my role choices were varied enough so that way if I didn't get my top 3 I'll al least get placed in something! Tbh I don't care what role I get, I just want to do this program!
